abayomi93: point of correction, she did not gain admission, she paid for the admission.how can a university not conduct entrance exams for her perspective students?how can you just go and pay jamb registration fees and they give you admission?.Mediocrity of the highest order.when Noun starts to conduct entrance examination for her perspective students, then I would have respect for them.how can a suppossed open university be admitting children of 16,17 years old?.its a work and study plan for God's sake. Atleast there should be age barrier so that we would know that its for working class people who do not have the time to attend full campus lectures because of their work. A boy would finish secondary school, instead of him to sit down and read to gain admission, they jump into Noun without Any test to prove their intellectual ability. No wonder a lot of them drop out of the programme after failing their brains out and wasting money and time. This is harsh. There is actually a screening process before admission is given. No exams yet but it is not just about making payments, you have to meet the criteria before being admitted. My younger sister's application was almost turned down until where crossed out Ts and botted our Is. |

These ND people must understand that the oil in their region belongs to Nigeria and not them just because the oil is close to them.
Nigeria will not take any nonsense from them even if we have to flatten that region; they cannot hold this great nation to ransom.

LoveDecay: The east will never rule. Only by proxy - see the case of Johnathan. Nnamdi Kanu has put a nail in the coffin.
The only way the east might rule would be inter-marriage. Unfortunately, the east do not inter marry as much as they used to. It would have to be an ibo + west or ibo + northern
I doubt anyone would still trust the east with power, as a result, power by inter marriage would still be feasible only through proxy. Where the president is either ethnic group in Nigeria excluding ibo and the female is frm the east. This matter is simple, why keep the easterners in a country where they cannot aspire to rule? Let them go! Conduct a Un referendum and allow these easterners go! |

Ijaya123: Nigeria is not the problem of igbos.
When ojukwu contested for president under APGA then, how many votes did he get even from the igbos? How many votes did Obasanjo get from the Yorubas too? yet other Nigerians gathered and made him president, Igbos should get the same treatment. Nigerians don't need Igbo votes to make an Igbo man president just like we never needed Yoruba votes to make Obasanjo president. I hope you understand now. |

What stops the rest of Nigeria from backing an Igbo man to become the next president so that there can be true unity? Nigerians did it for the Yorubas when we all backed Obasanjo even when Yorubas rejected him at the polls.
Nigerians did it for the SS by backing Jonathan so why not for the Igbos? |

Sweetlemon: The thing about SS people is that we claim brotherhood with the Igbos when we need their partnership. A good example is GEJ. When last did you hear him talk about Igbo? The SS people on NL pointing out this fact are the sincere ones. The rest like barcanista will rather continue using them to further his NL political campaigns. Igbos are very sensitive people. Hail them, kiss them, hug them, sweet-talk them, and they will carry your matter on their heads like gala. Politicians are very aware of that and that's why it's easy to use them. Just look at Fayose, just look at the way Igbos are hailing a man who disgraced his mother because of politics. Why? Simply because he is fighting their percieved enemy. Seriously! This is the painful truth my dear, you are correct. I am Igbo. |

Mynd44: I Nigeria is a signatory to ECOWAS but if they decide against policies what will ECOWAS do? What has the UN done against USA?
2. That is why investing in ports in important. If Nigeria breaks up the SE might find themselves landlocked if the SS decides to form their own state. What happens then? But if a SE officially has a stakes in the ports in the Niger Delta, you are at an advantage
3. Look at it this way, you all nationalise investments, who loses more? This is a call for the SE business community to invest more in the SE. A call to the leaders to develop the zone as together and build alliances with people outside. Excellent! |

naptu2: There are a lot of links between Lagos, Ogun and Niger-Delta militants.
One of the main reasons for the traffic gridlock in Apapa is because the NNPC and oil companies cannot move petroleum products by pipeline anymore, so they have to move them by tanker trucks.
Armed gangs have taken over Ikorodu and parts of Festac in Lagos and Arepo in Ogun State. They have killed policemen, SSS operatives and civil defence officers. They are heavily involved in pipeline vandalisation and have also branched out to armed robbery (They were heavily involved in the Lekki, Ikorodu and Festac robberies in the past year). The army had to conduct an operation in Ikorodu to try and flush them out.
Some of the armed robbers that were arrested after the Ikorodu, Lekki and Festac robberies have confessed that they have camps in the creeks around Lagos, Ogun and Ondo states. The police and the military started a campaign to try and deal with them in December. That might explain why they want amnesty now.

THE Edo State Police Command has bust a suspected notorious gang of kidnappers that specialised in kidnapping little children. The gang has a camp in the bush near Benin city where they kept their victims before demanding for ransom. The alleged kingpin of the syndicate, Lucky Usifo, had been on the wanted list of the Police for over a period of time. Usifo (aka General) told Daily Sun at the Police headquarters in Benin city that, “really, I am the gang leader. Mine was just to receive information about a prospective victim and I would organise the show. I work with insiders or close relatives of our victims. “I prefer kidnapping children from five years below. They are easy to handle. Once you capture and give them assurance that you love them, they would be calm. I feed them with bobo, pap and noodles. Sometimes, they would make request for a choice of food but when you explain to them that you don’t have the money to buy the food, they would understand. “The operation that put us in this mess was the kidnap of twin sisters. They are three years old. We abducted them on December 24, 2015 to create panic in their family. It was Frank that brought the deal. Frank live in the same compound with the twins’ parents. He gave Paul the clue on how we could work on one Junior who would give us access to the compound. We really perfected the plans and picked the girls. We took them to our camp in the bush where we fed them with pap, soft drinks and biscuits. “My anger is that Frank played over our intelligence, we demanded for N1million ransom and Frank went behind to collect the money. They did not give us a dime. Frank just used us to collect money from the victims’ family. We later realised that Frank and his sister had collected the ransom and warned the family to stop picking our calls. “We were armed robbers before we went into kidnapping. We have just carried out two kidnappings. But we have carried out several robbery operations. I am from Igeduma, our hitman, Samuel Iredia is from Afuze in Edo State. Iredia is our driver also, but whenever there is need to confront the Police in gun duel, he is a professional. He is also useful whenever there is need to shoot our enemies. Osamuyi Idahosa is the guard, he keeps watch over our camp. Frank is from Agbor. He is just an informant. The lady in our gang is the person that feeds our victims”. Edo State Commissioner Of Police, Mr Chris Ezike told Daily Sun that his command has dealt a heavy blow on the kidnappers and armed robbers in the State. “The era of Kidnappers and armed robbers having a field day in Edo is gone. Our anti-crime strategies have made tremendous breakthroughs. The suspects are the most wanted and deadliest in the state. It took our well-coordinated anti-kidnapping team time to arrest them. When we got their location and moved against them, they resisted and shot our policemen but we got them at last. I want to urge criminals to vacate this state because we would get them. “We actually monitored these kidnappers and did a coordinated tracking of their telephone numbers and their location. We were careful to avoid harming the children. The children were rescued on January 2. The suspects had been terrorising Benin City for sometime before we nabbed them.” http://sunnewsonline.com/new/we-feed-our-victims-with-soft-drinks-biscuits-suspect/
