Unfortunately that's the conundrum I'm in,I only have one pad so no other pad to test whether it's the system or the pad itself although I'm quite sure the pad is the main suspect

I once had a pad like that. Once it glitches like that, i have to open it, detach and re attach the battery with the board

This is the pad I bought with the game the other day,so it's definitely a follow come pad just frustrated this happened immediately after I wanted to use the psn account

Are you 100% sure your pad is original? That's the first question to ask, isn't it?

Because some of the symptoms you mentioned above are associated with certain fake china pads.

Came with the game brand new,it's very frustrating I think the battery might be done and the issue started immediately after installing firmware 9.00 earlier in the week

Please I need advice,ever since I downloaded and updated my ps4 firmware this month my pad started acting up, the ps button on the pad doesn't turn on,the pad only charges when connected with a wire,and when it eventually turns on randomly it disconnects after a few seconds and the ps button wouldn't turn on again no matter how much I try.
I've tried resetting the controller through the hole in the back but it doesn't do shit,and a few tricks I saw on the Internet but all to no avail, right now I'm at my wits end,has anybody encountered this issue before with their pad before
