no one can really tell you this. its at the sole discretion of CIC. though from their website (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/past-rounds.asp) you will notice that this year the draw has gone as low as 413.

Good morning guys, I know my question is a bit far fetched but does anyone think CRS that will be given ITA will ever fall below 440 again?

I have 438 points and missed ITA twice, so I just registered to retake IELTS with the hope of getting the highest possible scores in all 4. I currently have L8, W7, R7, S7.5 With one more point in reading and half a point in the other 2, I should get better points.

However, it will be nice to know if you guys think that the required CRS points will drop in subsequent draws.

I think she means you should say she has a post secondary qualification and then down the line you will be asked if she has an ECA for it then you respond accordingly.

She's however confused about the assessment. She has a first degree from LAUTECH and a masters from UI. As you are all aware. LAUTECH has been shut down for a while now and she can't get her transcripts, is it OK if she has just her masters assessed and which assessment body is good for points.. WES or ICAS. thanks

I want to congratulate all those who have received PPR recently (too numerous to mention ). We wait to see the ITAs today. While I also warm up to start my own processes to jump into the warm pool.

I'm sorry to ask this but after reading your comment I got confused. I have a National Diploma, B.Eng and MSc. does it mean that I only have to evaluate my MSc? how will they now be able to say I have 2 certificates and the whole 9 yards? sorry if this has been treated before.

Hello sir, use the CRS tool on the CIC website to get a rough knowledge of your scores, I believe you might need to rewrite the IELTS exams and get a band 9 score in all for maximum points. Also you only need to evaluate your highest degree.

Please I need clarification with this in order to accurately calculate my points for me to proceed. The question might be a cliche because I read on the NOC pages that for petroleum engineering chemical engineering is NOT related. I studied petroleum engineering and I have process engineering (chemical engineering) experience, can I claim points for work experience? I just need clarification. Thanks a lot.

Hello.....my student copy of transcript is boldly written.... "Not for official use" and my school only sends official copy rather than hand over to students....and MSA booklet says "official transcript".

Yes thats correct but no one said that the most likely outcome without work experience is engineering technologist, ur CDR speaks for u not work experience. Just apply for professional engineer if u hold a beng or bsc and write a convincing CDR...the rest is up to EA.

Thanks boss.. That one don dey cleared up.... second question, I read the MSA guide in full, and my understanding of it was that assessment is divided into Professional Engineer, Engineering Technologist and Engineering Associate WITHIN your specific engineering profession..

However, from what i've been reading on this thread, it appears that for example: If you apply for assessment as an Electrical Engineer (professional engineer) and assessment comes out and classifies you as Engineering Technologist (which is the most likely outcome without work experience), you can no longer apply for 189 or 190 as an ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, but only as an Engineering Technologist.

The application is online which means ur sch sends nothing to them. Meanwhile the student copy is just fine, thats what I used. The MSA booklet is just saying u should not certify anything meaning u should scan original documents and not photocopies.

Please, for all that got positive assessment from EA, did anyone upload an original student copy of transcript. If not, did anyone ask their university to send an original. I'm asking because when I went through the MSA booklet, there was a footnote where they said no certified copy of any original document should be uploaded. Meanwhile, my school usually do physical mailing. Please help clarify.
