the decision has been made - Rooney is no better than Adebayor! cheesy

No debate whatsoever! grin grin grin
Word will soon go round and these scummies will be here in no time

Very Frank article there, concerning the English team/league. As for the comparisons, it wasn't even the Rooney/Adebayor one that got me cracking, it was the Goalkeeper comparison that made me laugh, Almunia is our second choice and the dude didn't even bother mentioning that yid Robinson's name in the breathe as Almunia grin.

The truth sure is bitter

the problem with that position is that we lack muscle, when we come across the likes of Essien, midfielers like Denilson will be brushed aside, thats why i feel Diarra should be played longside Fab, becos he's a got a presence that Flamini (Sometimes) and Diaby, Denilson lack. Berti should get the nod though becos God knows how well Diarra would play with Fab, at least we know Fab n Berti combine well
SportsRe: Can Nigeria Win The Nations Cup In January? by chuckdee4(m): 1:37pm On Nov 21, 2007
If i were a gambling man, my money would be on Ivory Coast

The Naija team is full of individuals who can't play together, then they have a tinkering coach who's not sure what his first 11 should be and what have u, I hope they do well and suprise everyone but i really doubt it
CultureRe: Why Nigerians Compare Themselves To South Africans? by chuckdee4(m): 12:17pm On Nov 21, 2007
i don't know any Nigerian who compares themselves with SAfricans, y?, its not like we have too much in common apart from the fact that we're Africans. Ghanians are the closest thing to being Nigerian and would make a better comparism object (That is if u anted to even compare in the first place)

IMO i don't thik u should have married him knowing fully well that he had a child, unless of course u were happy with it. The honest truth is that even if his ex-wife was not there when u guys were courting, she was always going to be involved one way or teh other cos she's had a kid with him, plus it gives her an edge over u because his first kid is with her and not u. Thats why most people don't want excess baggage like an ex or a kid when going into a new relationship or marriage

hmmm

am not going to write a long argument for you.

My only response will be try and enter the ring with the undertaker or john cena or any of the wwe superstars and go just ONE ROUND. Or have a chair

broken on your little back or have a hammer slammed on your face.

By the time you see stars, you will know whether its real or not.

Ma guys fake or not, E NO EASY.
Do u think any normal human being would want to be hit in the face with a hammer?
Them chairs are made of a light metal, making it easy for a trainned person to take a head shot, have u wondered why the chair always bends outta shape after its been used (lighht metal). Go and try it with ur father's chair and see if u wake up
Most blood on WWE are fake, wrestlers often carry blood packs that they burst on their face to make it seem like they are bleeding, why is it when they bleed it never lasts for long, if uve ever bled before u'll know that it doesn't just stop like that until u apply pressure on it or it cloths

How many times has the undertaker performed his pile driver on people, anyone who feels wrestling is real should come round my place i will give them one pile driver let me see if they wake up the next morning. These guys are more stunt men than sports men

I think they'll start Diarra ahead of Denilson. And personally, I see Diarra displacing Flamini in the near future, but we'll see how that plays out.
Yeah i agree with u on that one, Diarra is much stronger and skillful, the only department where Flamin beats him is in goal scoring, for a defensive midefielder Flamini does chip in with his fair share of goals

How long will Flamin be out for?

Injuries are gradually creeping into the squad, good thing we got enough cover in midfield

@ Chichi

I get ur point, saying that the Dutch police went against Dutch laws in order to arrest Nigerians, fair enough, the illegal immigrants should not have even been in the country in the first place.
Sounds like a case of 2 wrongs not making a right, both parties were wrong but looking at it from a Dutchman's point of view, u wouldn't sit down there n watch illegal immigrants that scam ur fellow country man wander around the country without being deported.

I understand ur cry, they obviously went out of their way to Bleep those naija boys up but if ur 419ing ur way thru Europe and u get deported all i can say is Good for u, lets not encourage bad behaviour on Nairaland, its these kinnda people who are responsible for the bad image Naija has today
SportsRe: Tennis Masters' Cup 2007. Federer The Genius, Has Done It Again. by chuckdee4(m): 10:57am On Nov 20, 2007
Whether Federer wins the French Open or not i already see him as the greatest of all time, no one has ever dominated the Mens game so much since Sampras and winning 3 grand slams back to back is just unbelievable, lets not forget the competition Nadal, Djokovic,k Nalbandian etc
I believe he can win the French Open, but win or not, he's already the greatest of all time, the dominance is overwelming.

Remember when Roddick was number 2, how many times did he beat Federer, i think about once in like 15 matches, he made Roddick look ordinary and is one of the reasons why Roddick has slumped

Yes they struggle against the linkes of mid teams liek Russia n co, but England's defence can be stingy which sort of enables them get by, bu they can forget about winning it co ethe likes of Italy, France, Germany will not be beaten by this current England team

No English player = I guess Walcott n Hoyte are Camerounian then
Menstrual pains = Try make some sense

If you see Arsenal's youth team then u'll know where the next set of English talent is coming from

As for England, i guess its always nice to see someone brag then fail. I used to like England until i moved here and realised how much they brag and claim to be the best in the world
The Scotland team have more heart than the last 10 English teams, imagine England in Scotlands group, they would have withered ages ago, when they struggle with the likes of Israel n Russia, France n Italy would have had them for lunch. Kudos to Scotland though, i hate the fact that they didn't qualify

Christianity EtcRe: No More Christmas For Me! by chuckdee4(m): 1:32pm On Nov 18, 2007
texazzpete:
The poster and the people supporting her are the people desperately trying to kill off any joy in Christianity. I mean, everyone knows that Dec 25th most likely maky not be the exact birthday of Jesus, but it's a date set aside to mark his birth.
The people talking about baby jesus, i wonder what planet they are from. whether baby or grown up man, he is Jesus. the bible says a new king was born that day, not someone who would grow up to be king. So it really doesn't matter if people fuss over the baby jesus. Afterall, the Bible goes to such pains to let us know that jesus came down to be HUMAN just like the rest of us. And what else highlights his human status then than a cute, wriggly baby?

People must gripe over every little thing. it's not enough that Jesus said 'love your Neighbour as yourself and God above everything' as prerequisite to enter heaven. Or that we've been told that keeping His commandments is the way to heaven. some people must invent more hoops and hurdles to jump through.

Santa Claus is an artificial construct. no one has made any attempts to tie this character to Jesus and the Bible. However Christmas is/should be characterised by a spirit of giving and peace to all mankind, and Santa Claus embodies that fact. If you don't like the idea of Santa, then don't go visit one or allow your kids visit one. Don't come up in a public forum with silly anagrams.
it's not enough to show that re-arranging Santa gives satan (naturally the simple minded people think the Devil would actually utilise such a simplistic guise). Show that Santa does satanic/devilish things and then we'll listen.

Till then, these people should be regarded as sour rabble rousers.
Couldn't have said it any better, Christmas is celebrated for the right reasons, all these loop holes that certain Christians try to create is all nonsense.
The idea behind christmas is a genuine one, maybe Christ wasn't born on the 25th, maybe Santa Claus doesn't exactly represent Christmas but all that talk about him being a phaedophile is wack, did people even know what a phaedophile meant 7 yrs ago. Give it a rest, Xmas is all about the birth of Christ and Santa symbolises the giving and sharing spirit of Christmas, very typical of people to try spoill a good Christian thing, i don't see u trying to say such crap about muslim festivals abi are u afraid u may lose ur limb
Christianity EtcRe: No More Christmas For Me! by chuckdee4(m): 4:35pm On Nov 16, 2007
@ Gamine

If i can celebrate my birthday i don't see why i can't celebrate that of Christ Jesus, it may not be the exact date but its the acknowledgment that counts.
You have obviously read something somewhere, post a link to it or let us know so that everyone can see where ur coming from, u can't call Santa Clause Santa Lucifer and expect us to understand

Rooney has done quite a load of adverts, lets see, Lucozade, ok can't remember the rest but the fact is that companies would not want Rooney's face to be the face of their product (What r u trying to do, scare customers away)

Without a doubt he'll earn money but maybe not as much as David beckham, the only reason Rooney is even close to DB is cos of the sill y money that is in football.
When Beckham was an OT regular if Rooney was in that team there is no way he woudl have earned up to 50k a week, only Roy Keane was allowed to boss higher wages in that team, so factors like these should be put into consideration, quite frankly they are 2 players from different eras which makes it difficult to compare them

@ Chuckdee4,

The difference is clear.
West Ham is a selling club . . . . .they cannot hold on to their big players for long.
Moneybags come in and raid their good players and they don't have a choice but to sell . . . . .

However, Arsenal is not a selling club . . . .they buy good players because they have got the money to buy young foreigners/few English lads.
Wenger rarely buys English players . . . . .and when he does, he buys the Theo Walcotts of this world from Southampton.
Upton Park is the breeding ground of talents in London . . . .not Chelsea, not Arsenal and not even Tottenham.
Any resident in London will tell u that.
Well now that they have a new owner and are no longer a selling club, shouldn't they be building West Ham around these young players.

The way u go on i would swear u were English, so what if AW doesn't buy English players, he works for Arsenal not England, if 11 foreigners can do the job then so be it, lets face facts England are just not in an era where they are producing quality players

@Chukwudi

Take a look at the following players;

1) Frank lampard

2) Rio Ferdinand

3) Michael Carrik

4) Defoe

5) Joe Cole

6) Glen Johnson

7) John Terry (brief stint)

They are all products of West ham academy

Hammers don't go to other club's academy to STEAL their players. They produce theirs?
Akola we all know the calibre of players west ham have produced, my issue was that, if they currently have very talented players better than JT and the lot, why are they not playing them. My argument was that AW would have started playing them, unlike Curbishley who seems happy to be buying players who have passed theeir expiry date (Boa Morte, Matthew Upson)

Lets wait n see, i think he's goal scoring days are gradually coming to an end, lets not forgte he's getting to his 30's. Lets wait n see, usually by this time in the season he's already on some 7-8 goals, if he's not firing, Chelsea won't win a thing

u must admit though since the departure of that twart Chelsea have looked quite ordinary
