lourash: That’s why dealers scam a lot of people , airbags are fixable to be functional .. there are parts to replace .. I just finished working on a highlander 2012 bro , Some parts are available locally while some can be sourced abroad see attached what it cost me to get the airbag sensor.. trust me it is not cheap to fix airbag but it is definitely worth it I am still learning and it has been fun so far I know they can be fixed. But the dealers don't do that. They just cover it and tape out the light on the instrument cluster. |

lourash: I love you man .. no Homo..
lets bring sanity back.. the main problem nowadays is that of the middleman that knows nothing about the history of the car and would be screaming car is accident free.. I personally have no problem with accidented cars but then i would have to carefully select the ones to buy, i have bought a car that deployed airbags before however my conscience would not let me sell such car to anyone without airbags so i had to fix the airbags then i discovered the fun in fixing airbags and i have since then helped two people repair airbags and of course made some money out of it so it became my side hustle..... we need people to be truthful as much as possible. i bet u, these airbags were not fixed. |

I think I saw when this particular car was brought out of tin can and parked at Alhaji's garage on Saturday 10th of February. I must attest it's a very clean car, but a flooded car. Op, be honest and tell them it's flooded. But I must say whatever flood that affected this car was extremely minor. If it's this same car that I saw, it was driven out of the port into that garage with a flat front tire. Yes, It is a flooded car. but I doubt any user will have issues with it. This is just my opinion. I can import this type of flooded vehicle for my personal use, but not for resell. I don't like wahala wey go tarnish my reputation. |

RealGucci: oh really but i felt tokunbo cars are the best as long as its not salvaged..accidented . baba na clean title only bro clean title is not a guarantee for a well maintained car. I can beat my chest that most salvaged/accidented cars are the best. The issue now becomes the degree of accident the car is involved in and the standard of repair to be done on the car. I use salvaged cars. I get salvaged cars for people. But I have a rule of thumb. No deployed airbags. Affected parts must be plug and play. Chassis must not be affected in any form. At least fair maintenance from VIN check. Must run and drive, amongst other things. Everything is about experience. Some people still make the best deals out of cars45. Life is all about what u learn from experiences and how u apply them to suit you. |

I must commend op for this post. I have always suspected a thing or two about cars45. Their packaging is too real and fantabulous to be true. At least this is an eye opener. Due diligence is the keyword. I still think it's fraudulent to package and sell a 2008 corolla as 2011. It's fraud. They can actually be taken up on that. I really don't know why Nigerians can't be straightforward in their dealings. Is it that difficult to be honest? |

ogtavia: My exact sentiments...pay 1.6m of hard earned cash for a Nigerian used vehicle that you know nothing of its history...if they took the money they spent on fixing the car, added a little change to it and got it up to say 2m...I believe they will get a clean foreign used (tokunbo) 2008 or 2009 toyota corolla...its for business, they will likely make their money back...or at least with 1.5m they can get a lower model of the toyota corolla, make some money with it,then upgrade.. foreign used 08/09 corolla for 2m? I'm baffled at the way u guys wishfully allot prices to cars. Na wa o |

Theses are wishful thinking. Truth is that some naija used are better than some foreign used vehicles. Some whites are bastards when it comes to car maintenance. Pray not to get such car. |

greggng: You are very correct. The panel beater adviced I should buy a tokunbo pointer only that one will lap very well. On the issue of the headlamp, I discovered there is a robber that will fill that gap. Will soon go for it. I don't think there is any rubber there. Unless you are talking of the pad on the bumper iron bar on which the bumper rests. Something is needed inside the bumper at the part directly underneath the headlamps. |

Note: I'm not forcing anyone or encouraging anyone to buy a flooded car, I did so at my own convenience and risk, If you buy one and it's a complete garbage that's your problem.
Neither am i telling anyone to bring their car through Cotonou, If it gets impounded by the customs on it's way to you that's your problem. Everyone will cry their cry.
Car has been registered and it's being driven everyday. Most of this speeches have made me realize there are so many people who have little knowledge about somethings here. There's so little i can say on a public forum. spot on. |

I like how OP owned up and handled the issue. I will like to be objective here. Truth is that it's responsible and honest to give full disclosure of what you are selling. Even if u wish not to, at least do not lie. My stats may not be accurate, but more than 90% of we tokunbo users drive accident cars. Majority of Nigerians can't afford clean title cars. Of course it will sound crazy buying an 03 corolla for close to 2.8m when you can get it less. Kingreign knows what I'm talking about cos his rx330 was about 1m higher than the normal market price as at the time he bought it. He looked cheated, but he went for clean title. So long as u don't bring in very terrible cars, u don't hide under non disclosure or deceit, I think all will be fine. I also buy from copart. But my clients choose their cars. So they see what it's like before we go ahead. Truth is that most times these accident cars are far more reliable when properly repaired than the seemingly clean ones bought at auction. Timifakay, I Greet you. The wonderful guy saved my ass in ibadan. |

Ipfreely: This advert has a number of inconsistencies.
How is it possible that back when this vehicle was originally sold in 2012 its authentic mileage was 57,175, and now in 2018 its stated mileage is 26,000?
In addition, these photos would appear to be at least 5 years old. Is this the true present condition of this vehicle?
I would strongly urge caution for all interested parties in this vehicle. look at the updated date. I think the vehicle must have been in contention. Usually after winning a bid, there are 2 updates. The day u paid and the fate you picked up the paid vehicle. Do I will assume it was picked up from copart 5yrs after sale. I wonder why. Even pending title will not stay that long |

I will applaud the panel beater and painter who did the work. They are just great. Op, please their contact. What I don't understand is the reason behind the accident free statement when you know it was involved in not just an accident but a fatal one. Why not go silent on that and even mileage. There are lots of them here o. I know them. One even has a pilot of 273k miles clocked back to 57k. Una well done |
