Nigeria is not a joke, the second-largest economy and market capitalization in Africa . Most African countries are overhyped by their media houses because they are more patriotic than ours. Kenya is currently suffering from a nationwide blackout for weeks, SA only has stable electricity in a selected part of the country, Ghana is currently faced with inflation that is even worse than ours, and Rwanda's rural community is nothing to write home about. Nigeria is not the worst it remains among the top 5 places for businesses, work and living in Africa

The first is finally being tackled with the good news that the NNPCL against all odds delivered the first shipment of fuel to Dangote Refinery,even though petrol will not be made available immediately,it will reduce the pressure on our forex
Those seeking to import Diesel,Aviation fuel and Kerosene will understand that the game is up
Also,this stupid swap arrangement by NNPCL is coming to an end after 30 years.Nigerians will probably not understand this until probably till the second quarter of 2024 when Nigeria stops all importation of fuel
This will allow enough foreign exchange to be available in the market and also a competitive pricing for fuel
I laugh when I read that most IOCs are leaving Nigeria,I am sorry to speculate but most of this guys were involved in the madness happening at NNPCL.
They know the game is up and they have decided to gently leave instead of doing Business the way it ought to be done

I really want Nigerians to be patient,by the end of the first quarter of 2024,prices will start to adjust the reality of the day

UK & US ARE OVER-RATED NIGERIA IS STILL BETTER in terms of cost of living see a practical example why doing a price comparison: 1 pound to 1 naira today is N1,001 so are you saying with £10 x N1,001 = N10,001 you cannot buy everything in that basket and collect change in Nigeria today?

1 Sliced Bread = N800
2 Spaghetti = N1400
1 Gesha = N600
1 live chicken = N3,000
1 75cl soya Oil = N1,400
1 Midium size Butter = N600
2 Gino Tomato paste = N1,000

Total = N8,800 so your change is N1,200 that's if you exchange pound to naira at offical rate and buying at the most expensive stores or high brands. If you exchange at black market rate and buy at public market "days" you will collect as much as N6,000 after buying everything in that basket....that's about £6 left.

At the end of the day, the APC government was always in support of subsidy.

Nigeria cannot afford subsidy again. If we had kept subsidy since May 29, and fuel remained at N195, by now, subsidy costs would have risen drastically, and government would have either been taking loans from other parts of the budget to pay for the subsidy, or taken more loans, or declare force maejure, and the market would end up having scarcity.

We keep making the same mistake every time, all in the name of cheap fuel

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CHEAP FUEL. Fuel costs money to produce. But because we want the poor to breathe, we use tomorrow's money to pay yesterday's costs.

Ah well, everyone should be 'happy' now.

(Yeah, like it makes sense to sell fuel at N617 when it costs N900 in reality. Apparently believing that it is wrong to sell fuel at a loss means you are an oppressor, and hate Nigerians.
