Peseiro. Thanks for reacting early in that game. Thanks for seeing that Alex was a burden and SA was using the space he wasn't closing down. Now that we have been found out. Can you possibly switch to 4:2:3:1 in the final game?? Alhasssan & Onyeka to screen the DF, while Iwobi plays behind the CF? Or do we stick to our formation with Onyeka & Yusuf??. Also remember that Osihmen is no longer running on full capacity.
Civ will outplay us if we switch to 4231. I believe sticking with the formation is the right step since they have been getting result with it. Of course lessons will be learnt. Mind you SA is a compact team in fact a club so they know themselves besides yesterday apart from first half, I didn't see much the southafricans were doing. Yes they played well(that team na almost memeoldi sundown, I expected it) . My suggestion:stick with the formation with alhassan and onyeka, then Iwobi for moses this will give him freedom and make him closer to osihmen and Lookman. Or maybe introduce Iwobi later for moses. Civ will try to play aggressively.

Maybe because he has not played a single match at the AFCON.

I would have preferred him. tbh.

Nevertheless, I do think Aina and osayi are solid options! Both can actually dribble too!

So it will be Aina at LWB and Osayi at RWB!

Aina is an upgrade on Zaidu at LWB no matter how we look at it!

And Osayi is close to Aina as a RWB!

Paserio listens! I like this so much!!

Let's go Super Eagllesss!!

Aina-Simon!
Osayi-Lookman!
Mouth watering!!
why not try that onyemaechi? Is the guy that bad?

You can't talk about substitute role without recalling that a prime Ighalo kept Oshimen at the bench throughout Afcon 2019. If Ighalo could do that to Osimhen, imagine what Adriano and Crespo could have done to him.
hahahaha. U go fear analysis. Who was the coach then? And what was osihmen then?. Omo the kind of analysis I get here at times is something else. So osihmen should just jump in and bench established ighalo. If ighalo was around now, I doubt he will bench osihmen. However this your take is baseless because they played in two different eras . Is like saying a 17yr old Messi was benched by Crespo. Baba osihmen as far as nigerian football is concerned is a legend. We are talking of an AFOTY. GIVE the guy his respect he didn't bribe his way through it. If your so called striker was good, he should have gotten it in his era. Provided he is not crowned, he is well below osimhen.

Osimhen would not score it if given the chance

hahahaha. Dey play. Osihmen has the crown as the current best. Yak couldn't in his life time. Not comparing both, but Osimhen is miles ahead in terms of achievements.

Enough is enough osimehn has to start scoring or moffi and nacho should be given a chance. Even the much maligned ighalo scored 5 during his last afcon
the coach the coach. Clap for yourself. Don't worry I will tell peserio. For now deal with osimhen because he will definitely start.

The CF role is not all about pressing. Positional awareness and clinicality in front of goal should be considered in selecting a striker.

he capped them for the SE... so it was not a foolish thing to do..

they did not falter against Ghana. Uzoho messed up against Ghana and Osimhen failed to score so it was Uzoho and Osimhen that faltered against Ghana.

Same way Osimhem is faltering in this AFCON but people are too sentimental to see it..

If Osimhen was not the main striker and definitely NOT Onuachu as main striker then SE would have been winning matches by at least 3 to 4 goals.

I am 80% sure Eguavoen would have called Nathan Tella or Orban Or Adams for this tournament. he might say Tella is too young same way he said Amoo was too young.
what kind of analysis is this? Do you really know th impact of osihmen in that position? Do you know the power of pressing? Remove osihmen and you See the essence of that formation crumble abi your eye blind seeing the way that guy press and defend? Or you think everything is scoring? Osihmen is doing fantastically well and very unselfish. Thank God you ain't ehe coach. We for Don come back since.

I just dey salivate if to say ndidi dey fit
We are gradually solving and playing to our strength. One can actually play around with our midfielders. Ndidi, alhassan, onyeka, Iwobi, onyedika.
This is lovely. The good thing about the formation is that it sooths players like osihmen and Lookman that wants to express themselves and run.
One player that would have been lovely in this formation is boniface playing simon position. I can imagine what will be going on in peserio 's mind post afcon.

Peseiro is an inept coach

But one thing i give him props for is his defensive tactical awareness

Like this can be rated as the best eagles defense of all time.

If you see the fluidity in switching between zaidu and Bassey you’ll understand

The defense did a compact man marking without sacrificing width or depth

Best eagles defense ever
I think 343 is his formation when he initially started. Reverting to it now and having the players to play it has been the secret. To me, aina and Zaidu is the secret to that formation. Though Zaidu is not doing enough. I have to congratulate Calvin. Man is good.

When your team is s doing excellent you partake in the accolades if they drop you also partake in the condemnation.

Last season was the first time in VO career where he finished the highest goal scorer in the league. After three season in Seria A.

It's one thing to be the highest goal score another incredibly hard task to maintain it. Right now he is very far off the top goal scoring charts.

That will impact on his value negatively.
story. Na you wan impact the value or ain't you seeing the current value. Nothing is stopping the young man.

Bro, I am not South American and can’t speak for them. But, ask yourself if you have ever seen Lionel Messi or Cristiano playing street football in Lisbon or Buenos A years after becoming a professional? Or even tweeting unnecessarily and doing skits? If our players want to become revered they must realize that talent/hard work isn’t enough and they must realize that Professionalism, seriousness, dedication is equally as vital as talent if they want to have a career like Cristiano. Ronaldo has shown footballers the blueprint/epitome of longevity and success and it’s up to us to do it

Osimhen lacks that elite mentality to win us key games or even carry us in the AFCON like the likes of JayJay, Oliseh, Aghahowa etc did in the 2002 AFCON. baba the guy knows nothing about football. Osimhen won napolis' last game (cagliari) singlehandedly. Apart from heading the only potent cross from Mario rui, the young man gave one of the best assist in seria a this seasons after napoli bottled the advantage they had through purely defensive errors.

Football is a team game. Any reasonable person that has watched napoli team of last season will quickly know what is wrong. Every top Italian club fortified their team. I wonder how people watch football. Did napoli buy any quality player? Watch inter, watch ac Milan, they made good buys. Whoever is faulting osimhen of form knows nothing about football or a livesscore enthusiast. You can't see the hardwork of that guy and call him an underperformer. Anyway, people show what they are.
