PoliticsRe: UK Prime Minister Tweets About Nigeria.. See Snapshots. by chuksmarvin(m): 12:18pm On Jun 11, 2015
barcanista:
New UK Unit Will fight Corruption and Boko Haram

I never knew that Nigeria has become an extension of the UK. The UK anti-corruption agency will be the one fighting corruption in NIGERIA, and their Military will fight BH(another Iraq). So what is the use of Buhari in power when the UK is to take care of our domestic issues? Nigerians should have been told that we are the newest British territory.

To think that paid APC trolls are hailing this is pathetic, and more pathetic that President Buhari saw no shame in retweeting it.
Your dogged stance to attack everything in the new govt blindly is beginning to lose taste and look like child's play. Initially i looked forward to seeing your posts..buh now it's just a boring rhetoric. If you are truly rooting for the greater good then comment objectively..when its time to castigate buhari do so thoroughly and also same when its time to laud him. But the best is knowing when to refrain from commenting.
Cheers...

I got the same message too and I remember when I applied to them, but the reason I didn't honour the invite is that it came a day to the interview and I couldn't make it.
Thanks...I will just try it out and see. Its an outsourcing firm though.

Calm down guys and please read properly before commenting.
First Its a company's account and not just an individual's money even though he owns the firm---thats to those saying how does he have the money and all.
Secondly the fine GtB is paying isnt the 5.3 Billion.(that is the man's original money) all they have to do is get it back for him from CBN that made the withdrawal....The real fine is the 21% interest and 10% daily interest.
Third, to those saying the money is too much for GtB to pay...please think again!...They ll pay it without flinching...Read up on their capital base and profits for last year alone....No be small bank biko

The APC henchmen will kill Buhari before you know it... They will either attempt to remove or kill him if he don't align with their corrupt tendencies. I am a Buhari critic, I will change my stance about him if he truly fight our political elites milking the nation dry since independence. Buhari seem a good man but hisnoperational environment?

Someone above wrote that Rochas has always been rich; what are his antecedents? How did he make so much money? Advanced fee fraud? In saner climes people like Rochas don't have any business being in the corridors of power talk alone being a head of Governors in the ruling party!
Mr man. Please let us say what we know and not what our sentiments projects. Rochas (of whom im not a fan) is and has always been an avid business man and philantropist for the past 12 years or more...he has schools in ibadan with free tuition and transport feeding and books in many other states amongst other acts of philanthropy. This was one of the features that endeared him to the people to win the election in the first place.
And what do you mean by in saner countries?....mitt romney is a billionaire and he is in and about the corridors of power...so what are yhu saying..
I am not saying rochas may not have stolen but...dont dispute the fact that he has always been a millionaire if not a billionaire long before ...his name became a talk of the town. ..

Cheers

You were making sense until you got to the 'they sponsore a lotta projects like mtn project fame' really? You sounded like a secondary school kid there
I said that to highlight that the multiplier effect goes far beyond the 500,000 mentioned. If you look through the glasses of an economist, you may understand.

Besides, your 'secondary school comment' isn't as provocative as you intended....its cheap to incite and trade insults...its most people's strength or last resort for lack of expression of points of discourse..
You are like the rest grin

Do you know what your problem is? It's slave mentality. Boycotting South African products is the way to go as solidarity with those going through hell because of the xenophobia and to sound a strong warning to South Africans in their barbarism. The government of that nation benefits immensely from the profits that are taxed on the remission to that economy huge amount of money from the telecommunication company. They should be the ones to let their people know they have properties in other countries before attacking African immigrants in their country and killing them for silly reasons. I think you have a slave mental problem you need to sort out with a psychiatrist.

You are a black-sheep, dude. A hypocrite and greedy individual who can betray his family for money and employment.
I wont be drawn into trading cheap insults with you. Because really that's cheap, even 10 year olds do that online so its no biggy!
I am a realist. An objective non bigoted one..*say what you may**
Take a deep breath, now Please explain how you mean when you say i am greedy, or hypocritical....naa i dont think so. You just ranted in the heat of the moment..not the right way to converse bro!
Why boycott only their services, boycott the goods as well. Every single thing imported pls boycott.
And if the countries we sell our oil to like china and co have xenophobic folks there as well, we stop selling as well...who loses mr man?
Why didnt you talk on the dangote scenario i mentioned?
If they condemn the attacks there is little more they can do if truly yhu decide to see objectively...
Over to you. smiley..please dont dissapoint and start with insults as usual

It's been run by a Nigerian doesn't mean it is owned by Nigeria or a nigerian
So what?...our economy benefits immensely from the relationship and until we can do something about it...we are handicapped!.
If the owners arent nigerians, doesn't mean we re not making a living off them as well.

MTN are only concerned about their profit margin they couldn't care less iif 1 million Nigerians are lynched in their country, first of all the owners of MTN are white and as you well know whites do not give a shi.t about black African lives therefore we need to make it clear to them that we will no longer continue to be treated as passive, docile slaves. Hit them where it hurts by boycotting their services because in doing so yhou will be speaking to them in the only language that they understand - the language of money and power.

This is our chance to make them understand that we are not the fools that they think we are.

Just let this boycott get underway and you will see how quickly their govt will move into action. The last thing Zuma and his cronies want is for white owned businesses like MTN to withdraw their support for his corrupt regime.
My bro, i understand your vexation but really, mtn were making profits when they decided to come to nigeria. Coming to Nigeria only increased it exponentially. They have a good business model and they played the game well....blame our poor govt for not having a solid competitor to buffer their actions.
All in all....nigerians re benefitting immensely from mtn business...not just the 6000 and 500 000 but also the multiplier effect in other families supported by pple workin in mtn...they ve done what their lot about the xenophobia thingy. If they didnt condemn it now its a different thing.
Dont forget that guerilla warfare is an unwinnable war! The only solution is for it not to have started!
BusinessRe: Xenophobia: MTN Nigeria Warns Of 6,000 Job Losses by chuksmarvin(m): 1:29am On Apr 21, 2015
The sweet bitter truth is he is right! And we have ourselves to blame.
I hold no affiliation to mtn!. But can you really tell a private business to go and solve its home country government responsibilities? ?..come on!
Its like Cameroon sending dangote packing because boko haram from nigeria attacked them or telling him to go and solve it first.
We condemn the attack yes, but mtn can do nothing besides what its doing which is publicly condemning it to be candid.
And if you are to make a list of the sponsored projects and jobs that mtn indirectly creates we ll see that though they re getting rich off us, we aint totally losing at all. From mtn proj fame to thousand others ...They ve always been the first to start them.
Our govt can get more from them by strengthening our own telecomms to loosen the monopoly but until then, they are a necessary evil and rightly so!!
