Land within the territory of Nigeria is owned by the Nigerian government, the constitution recognised this fact. Government has the right to any land for activities that will benefit the generality of Nigerians. The Nigerian law vested urban land within a state to governors, and all non-urban land to the LG in which they are found. Federal government can negotiate with states and LG for the purpose of investing in those lands for Nigerian benefit.

It's a misconception and cheap speculation to reason that one ethnic group has any power to hold the rest group hostage due to a proposal that benefit the Nigerian people. We should shun this mischief and demonization of a particular ethnic group. It's a cheap propaganda.

Ranching is a form of agriculture, government has a mandate to invest to boost and encourage participation for wholesome effect on the economy.

I appreciate your attention.

Peace!

Land belong to the state government of the respective states and not the FG.If the state Governors says no land for ranching then let it be

Only you knows where you got your informational from as they all your personal ones which you using to blackmail the government.

Even in other parts of Nigeria goats invade farms. In a big scale business when farmers and herders have to collocate together. Ranching is the best option.

Stop saying Noway in your statement. Every Nigerian has a right to the land. The best option is dialogue and resolutions. Ranching has been done in the middle belt for decades and no one can abort that, rather, adjustments can be done to there practice.

You seem to be for a thug than a diplomat
No Nigerian has the right to another man's land!!! The land are not fulanis!!!!

‘I Have No Apologies’ — TheNation Reporter Insists Miyetti Allah’s Danladi Ciroma Is Lying

Again, the fact that Danladi Ciroma denied his comments and PREMIUM TIMES hurriedly apologized to Miyetti Allah does not mean Miyetti Allah is right and the media is wrong. Up till now I still remain positive and confident that Danladi Ciroma is lying, the fact that I have no record of the interview does not also make Ciroma right in his claim. Let us not narrow investigation into media publications to availability of recording alone, providing the voice recording could be a short-cut to the investigation, but in the absence of the short-cut, the long-cut alternative can be explored for thorough investigation. I’m happy my employer, THE NATION newspaper is doing that at the moment, based on the confidence they have in me; they are exploring all necessary alternatives to get to the root of it.

Your land for Fulani herdsmen or your life is now an official policy of the buhari administration!!! Shebi we warned you people about Buhari. That man made lot of fanatical comments long before he came to contest yet he repackaged and rebranded a saint by Tinubu and co.Everyone had better look for ways of protecting themselves as the FG will do absolutely nothing about the killings

THIS IS MOST SCARY

Says foreign herdsmen can graze in Nigeria

Al-Hassan also rejected suggestions that herdsmen from other countries should be prevented from grazing their cattle in Nigeria.

He said the ECOWAS “free trade protocol guarantees free movement,” adding that herdsmen do not recognise international boundaries which he described as “colonial creations.”

Al-Hassan added, “You cannot just opt out of a protocol that is integrating the African continent. The pastoralist movement is not for picnics. They go there to access land resources. Also, these boundaries that you have are colonial boundaries

you are too dull for my liking. I don't join issues with people like you. Bye.

That comment is very very germane. If the Jihadi FG claims the conflict is farmers-herders conflict and you propose a solution that favours only herders leaving the farmers with nothing. Besides what has the FG done to other livestock farmers including piggery and poultry farmers

you are just yapping nonsense and you have no say in this matter. The stakeholders on this issue are the communities and the state governments. Not the churches, mosques or political parties.
PDP stole N100b that was meant for this project but you see nothing wrong in that. All you can see and is concern with is some community giving out land for grazing as a business venture. Shame. Later, id!ots like you will shout that Nigerians are hungry yet you keep defending those that stole you money. Cow.

Are you sure you are mentally okay?/I don't have a say in terrorists been given land in my community? Well if you must know my community and state government has refused to cede lands to the terrorists for their grazing reserves, colonies ,ranches or whatever they chose to call it.They can head back to sambisa forest to take as much land as they like.If the FG gave anyone money for ranches they can prosecute and retrieve the money as for territory for terrorists We say a big NO

you are a monkey. So you see nothing wrong with your PDP looters who stole N100b and are trying to prevent investigation on it! You must be a goat. First of all, the FG is not giving money to anybody but is creating an area where herders can graze their cows without encroaching on farms. Here, they will pay rents and other dues to land owners and government authorities.
Now if this is injustice, what do you call the subsidy on fertilizer, on PMS, etc, or waivers given to some importers, coporate tax reductions to certain companies, tax holidays etc, are these injustice to those that don't benefit? You must have melons and ogi for brains. If not, you would have known that everything works out for the common good.

Ranches will never exist in southern Nigeria and the middle belt. If it comes to violence you will realize no one has a monopoly over violence. No sane human being will like to have blood thirsty terrorists close to them. The state governments of the NE/NW should use their own allocations to build ranches for their terrorist citizens on their own land
Politics / We Have Not Ceded Any Land For Ranching-gov Obaseki by Chuksonyeike: 12:12pm On Jun 30, 2018
AGAINST the backdrop of the recent Federal government policy on cattle ranching in the country which listed Edo State as one of the states for its pilot take off, the state government has said that it has not ceded land, in any part of the state to anyone, for ranching project.
Governor Godwin Obaseki made the clarification in a statement in Benin yesterday.

According to Obaseki, “The Edo State Government wishes to clarify that it has not ceded any land, in any part of the state, for ranching project to any one”

“My administration recognises that animal husbandry is a form of business which is done by private individuals, and the state government does not, as a matter of policy, directly engage in businesses.”

“The Edo State Government will remain an enabler of businesses through policies, incentives and laws and will continue to play this role to attract private investments that will create jobs for our teeming Population.”

it is federal government that will give the financial aid like that of farmers financial aid.

The bone of contention is that the evil forces in Nigeria don't want peace to reign in Nigeria spearheaded by the jobless aggressive lazy idiotic pigs of Biafra party PDP.

Your terrorist brothers should first build their ranches like poultry and piggery farmers before waiting for government aid.Waiting to use public funds to develop other people's business will never happen in this country

Lol, don't you hear calls in recent time by fed to pump money into agriculture?. I understand that sometimes, we tend to be defensive when a new strategy is proposed. But with time we reason to it and work it out. The bad news is you keeping talking about Fulanis should buy land. If they buy land in SW/SE, you should know that they have absolute authority over the land in your own region,. That's why it is the govt that should buy land. You guys are really local. Fulani's proposal is advanced one. It resembles that of western world
Government should buy lands for private business people? What sort of weed are you smoking? How come the FG is not purchasing land for other businessmen ?

Will the Igbo's dredge rivers by themselves?
Go and ask your state Governors to use their allocation to build ranches for your terrorist brothers. We neither have the funds nor lands for that in the south and middle belt

No one is stopping them from ranching. They should go ahead and use their monies to buy lands and develop their ranches like other livestock farmers do.What did the FG do for piggery, goat, poultry and other livestock farmers? Why should theirs be different?

The useless government of buhari insists his terrorist brothers are not responsible for the mayhem yet he pursues a policy of appeasement for them to stop the killings. Who is fooling who? Shebi the crisis is between farmers and herdsmen? What did he propose to do for farmers? So the only solution the illiterate could find was to use government money to allocate free lands and funding for the private business of his kinsmen while doing nothing for farmers. God punish both him and Osibanjo

Hatred has continued to be the basis of those who oppose grazing reserves. Jonathan's government dashrd people money on the name of YouWin to start or expand their business none of the those who oppose grazing reserves shouted it is private business. There should be a special place in hell for useless hypocritical imps who perpetuate hate in the name of their hypocrisy.
Did GEJ restrict YouWin to only businesses dominated by his kinsmen especially those who are violent? Better face the fact the so called grading reserves or grazing colonies or ranches or whatever name you want to call it is dead on arrival. Buhari' s plan to secure lands in the south and middle belt for his murderous kinsmen will never work
