olasquare2018:Bank statement and sponsorship letter can be certified by a Notary office, you don't need to legalize any of the other documents you listed. Yes MOE and MFA for the WAEC certificate and Eligibility Letter. Same WAEC Certificate will be legalized at Polish Embassy. You didn't answer my question, which school are you going to. Have you made appointment for the visa. |
olasquare2018:As I told you earlier. It's best to book appointment immediately as appointment can become very hard to get in coming weeks/months. You need to legalized all documents in ministry of education and foreign affairs. And super legalize in Polish Embassy your WAEC and Birth certificate. Most likely that's the ones the university will be needing when you arrive are eligibility letter and super legalized WAEC Certificate. Eligibility letter needs to be legalized as well. To be on the safe side, legalize everything MOE and MFA. It won't cost you that much as you might be needing them later during school registration. Regarding the Visa, Polish Embassy is highly unpredictable, just get everything they ask for, especially the financial requirements and compelling reason why you will be returning upon completion of your studies. What is the name of your school? Hope they fixed accommodation for you. |
olasquare2018:Yes it's true. You can only Legalized your WAEC Certificate and NPC Birth certificate. You should go ahead and book a date since the dates are extremely hard to come by. Hope you got your Eligibility Letter ready. Goodluck in your Visa application |
cocolacec:Student visa for bachelor's or master's degree program is already very hard to get from Nigeria, I think language program visa will be much harder applying from Nigeria |
cocolacec:Yes you can apply, but your chances of getting the visa is super slim if applying from Nigeria. Btw your profile says Copenhagen, and if you are already in Europe, then it's a Yes. |
chetac:Czestochowa is still a small city. I will advise you to stick with the big cities if you have to come to Poland. Warsaw and Krakow are your best bet. You will feel very well there. You will even have lots.of girls into blacks. |
Graciousned:That's not completely true. They give a 1 year resident permit after studies. If you learn the language well, your chances of getting a job is high as they don't discriminate like UK when it comes to jobs. As for Racism, that is very high in Poland and small cities are totally a no no for blacks. Student Visa is more harder than US Visa, I don't know why. But Polish student visa is the easiest European study visa for Indians. Maybe if you apply as a student or resident permit holder from India it will be granted with easy. Goodluck |
FrankByMonster:Where in Poland did you stay? |
olasberguk:You are not far from the truth. Indians are the new influx now in Poland, especially Warsaw. |

Tunjasko:I don't know for certain, it might be. Try to write to the school's you interested in and ask them if they offer tuition waiver or apply to the Rector Office and you might be lucky. Goodluck |
btee234:You didn't say which degree you going for. Yes you do require Eligibility Letter for your application to University in Poland. As of now I don't know if there have been any changes in the way the Polish Embassy judge their visa applications. I know a guy who got his Visa approved because he was able to answer the questions he was asked regarding his course which is Chemical Engineering. |
Iksam312440:I suggest you contact the school you intend to apply for. |
Iksam312440:I don't think so |
Benwems:You should check the date from 2 days before that given 18th November. Keep checking everyday till that 18th. Most likely you will get appointment a day before 18th or same 18th before 6pm. |
fowlyansh181:Yes |
Cnwag:Lots of private universities in Poland are frowned upon. Unless private university whose recognition is well known outside of Poland. Best to stick with government. Even cheaper. |
Ggetter50:Forget about Bialystok. That city name literally means "Whites Only" Warsaw, Krakow, Lodz, Poznan, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Sopot, Gydnia. These are alright . |
Ggetter50:You welcomed. I'm not 100% sure. But I think you get a year extension after studying. Also if your course is business degree or IT/Engineering, then you stand high chances of getting a job. Lots of Nigerians stay in Poland based on after-study permit. Just don't go to private university. |
fowlyansh181:Comparing Poland and Ukraine. I think Poland is much better, that's if you stick to the big cities and not remote cities that poor people abound. |
fowlyansh181:It applies to everyone. Lots of Ukrainians are studying in Poland. And as per staying back after studies, that depends on whether you get hired and retained by a firm. You don't need a special work permit to take up employment in Poland, your normal student resident permit is covers working, and there's no limitations to the number of hours you can work, but the knowledge of Polish language is required almost everywhere for work. To travel to Canada or US might be more easier in Poland and surely more difficult in Ukraine. |
uc1best:Admissions for this academic year is closed. |
Cnwag:Collegium Civitas is a private university, not that it's not good but it will be better to source for admission in government owned universities that are well known because this will play s crucial role in your visa application. You have to legalise your BSC and WAEC Certificates. MOE and MFA. You can get admission with that. During Visa application you can then legalise your BSC and WAEC Certificates in the Embassy. |
nuel101:OK. Apart from the small difficulty in securing visa I don't see why lots of people sweat so much on other countries for admission and flying to another country to apply for study visa. Poland have as cheap as €2000 per year tuition fee and maximum of €3000. If you are a good student which lots of Nigerians are, they get 50% or more discount on their next year tuition fees. Sometimes the rector can completely waive your tuition fee, including fees for university dormitory. Also traveling from Poland to US and Canada is so much easy. Someone who manages themself well can survive on €100 per month on feeding. Hope my information with assist others. |

You in Poland? |
If you going to Poland ensure your school secures your accommodation before arrival, otherwise it will be extremely difficult for you to get a private accommodation because lots of Poles don't wish to rent out to a black person, especially Nigerian. Most public universities usually give accommodation for first year international students. But incase you weren't able to get one there are other private dorms that i can recommend, depending on the city you going. Those who have submitted their visa whether successful or not should share their experience for others who are planning on studying in Poland. |
Teem1:I don't really know about that. What I know is that students are expected to register with their university before the first of October. University of Warsaw students same thing. |
Anyone who haven't gotten admission should move it till next year. Schools official starts on 1st October. There are number of schools/courses given for scholarship/free on master's level for qualified candidates, doesn't matter were you from. |
Teem1:Admissions usually start from June and end mid July. Which school did you apply to, I can call and find out for you. |
sleekicon:Just go with all the documents you used in applying/gaining admission to the university. You can buy recognised medical insurance that any country in EU accepts. Maybe you should try Swisscare, not completely sure so do some research. Regarding University of Warsaw, if you got more questions do ask and if I can will gladly help. Good luck |
Vicanace:That's good bro. Congratulations. |
? please what's the procedure
Warsaw, Krakow, Lodz, Poznan, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Sopot, Gydnia. These are alright .
