wizzdy:I believe if you got functioning encephalon you would have realized their questions are on Poland and not advice on choice between Poland and Germany. I assume your brother got Visa to study in Poland, shouldn't you be dishing out that advice to him on the importance of avoiding Poland and sticking to Germany you two-faced lip serving hypocrite? Done responding to a simpleton. 20 Likes |

Ligogu:Good you got the points, coz someone seem not to understand that not all hands are equal and not everyone can afford the €10,350 plus the compulsory 1 year University transcript for undergraduate studies. Make your adequate plannings and pay no heed to people. Decision is all yours. 1 Like |

wizzdy:Man, this is Polish student visa not German student visa thread. They are here seeking information about Poland not Germany and if they can afford the €10,000 they wont be looking for cheaper countries and schools at the first place. If you intend to sell the benefits of studying in Germany i believe you can easily find the German thread. Quit derailing. 4 Likes |

wizzdy:And how many of those people can afford to cough out 8000+ euros for blocked account? And with restriction on how many hours they can work per week whereas in Poland there isn't a restriction on how many hours students are allowed to work. Nobody stays in Poland long-termed. Whatever pay they get affords them their accommodation and normal living. It gets better for Master's students as class attendance ain't that regular and some school work can be submitted via online affording the students more hours of work. Kindly cut your coat according to your cloth. 7 Likes 1 Share |

wizzdy:Do you live in Katowice? Which Shawama place are you talking about or you meant Kebab? There are Nigerian students who are working in the same Katowice you made mention of. Dont appreciate biased information. Indians are trooping into Poland for work. The advantage a Nigerian student have is the English language, for those with clear and coherent speech, there are lots of Customer care jobs and Telemarketing jobs for students. Will be nice if you give this advise ONLY if you live in Poland. Cheers. 2 Likes |

emmatology96:From my understanding, there shouldn't be a specific amount as BTA for a person traveling with student visa. This requirement should surface when you go for the application of your temporal resident permit. Good thing is that Poland now issues a one time resident permit valid for the duration of your study. |

Cnwag:It will be almost impossible to change status when you enter with a wrong visa type. There's a reason why its called a Type D visa. This means it allows you to change status to something more long-term. Schengen Visas are usually issued for a very short duration of time and also not usually allowed to be converted to a Resident permit. But there are exemptions. First contact your University and find out from them. If i remember tomorrow i can call them on your behalf, i believe i can contact Poland as well. |

emmatology96:Let's assume someone comes to borrow money from you, most likely you will ask the person to present you a satisfactory collateral before giving out the money. So assume the same principal here, you are going to borrow a Visa, and they want to be sure you will literally return the "visa" upon completion of your studies. So ask yourself what will someone present to you to be satisfactory enough for you to lend money to the person. Assume the same for the embassy. 1 Like 1 Share |

Odera22:If you have other docs legalised by MOE and MFA and tuition fee is already paid. Then you should give the visa submit your application. Also if you can convince the VO why you starting after the universities officially starts this week. 2 Likes |

Moranc:Obviously its either your intention is to argue with my suggestion or you really didn't get my point. I specifically said MOE and MFA for legalisation of educational documents. Eligibility Letter you mentioned from my experience of those who attended the visa interview was never requested. Since most polish universities can give an extension of time to present the Letter if explained to what the situation is. Maybe you should make out time and offer possible solutions to those who need it rather than confront someone trying to help. 3 Likes 1 Share |

I have a suggestion that might help regarding the legalisation of documents. When you visit the MOE and MFA don't tell them you are legalising it for the purpose of studying in Poland, choose maybe Czech Republic, same as your birth certificate. Schengen Countries agreement allows you from my experience to use a birth certificate already legalised at a different EU Embassy. Hope that helps. 3 Likes |

Slip:The employment promise letter as you wrote isn't a requirement, it's a support documentation. Lots of people had applied for Polish Visa and got denied, that's why I recommend making your as unique as possible. From my inquiry it seems those who managed to get Polish Visa in recent are mostly attending Engineering degree programs, especially in Marine Engineering, Warsaw, Gdansk, Sopot, Gydnia. The one main concern is that your commencement of study date seem to be passed before the Visa application. Let's hope they letter from the school will do. |
