they reply me through email and said they sent to the department that they will get back to me within 15working days.

it's that what they told you when you call? and since when have they starting updating you on getting your passport back? . just want to confirm about the 15 working days ,it's taking long time now

Yeah that was the same email they sent me and after a while I didn't get to hear from them.. I kept calling and lately they sent me another email saying dat they already passed instruction to Lagos.. But I exercise patience that they will get back to me regarding my passport for collection. Am still waiting and it's almost 3 months now.

I have read your post and respond from the UKVI, they have notify Lagos centre since May so they will contact them and get back to you.
another email will be sent to you, so I think the challenge is from TLS Ikeja. , it's somehow slow

I just sent UKVI an email now and hope next week get some news,
please let me know when you got an email from them

Sure no problem.. I have always been updating the house on any development. Once I get any email or update from them I will let u know. If u have any update u shud let me know. Did you pay the £5 for sending an email?

please I want to confirm if they send you an email to come pick up your passport or you just went to TLS Ikeja?
, because I did my biometric since April 23rd never receive any reply yet for pick up at Ikeja TLS

We both have the same case.. mine was since the 10th of May..
I think u shud call UKVI to know what's happening with ur passport. I have been calling and following up with mine and they have been updating me via email. But I have not still gotten my passport. U shud check the previous page to see my last comment. That was the last email they sent to me yesterday. All the best

do you submit your application at Tls contact in ikeja??
do you submit the application yourself??
reason I'm asking the question is UK no longer use vfs oregun for submission again oooo...

have you tracked your application on Tls website??
have you gotten any mail from ukvi or Tls??
if your answer is no, then maybe you should call or mail ukvi concerning your application...j

I have not gone to the embassy yet. Am not yet sure of when I will go.. as I do t want to waste my time going there now. Let me wait for their email since I already applied for withdrawal

sorry about that Bro, like ekpotek said earlier, I don't think they can reverse their decisions if it's been made already....
have you called ukvi if they have sent ur passport to Tls??

Yeah I have called UKVI and they said my passport has been sent to my VAC but TLS said they don't have it dat it might be with the embassy.

Going to the embassy is not hard. You don’t need an appointment, they won’t allow you to enter regardless. But they will collect your collection paper and the email from UKVI and go in with it and check if your passport is there and tell you when to expect it.
My friend was able to get hers by going to the embassy twice to enquire about her passport after UKVI told her they had made a decision a while back and she should have received her documents.

Thank u very much for ur kind assistance. I will wait if there is no response from them.. then I will have to go to the embassy like u suggested.

Did you go to the embassy? You have a better shot of finding out what is happening with your passport if you go to the embassy. TLS can’t do much if they don’t have the passport with them. Once the passport is not with UKVI then it’s either with the embassy or TLS and since TLS said it’s not there then most likely embassy.

I have not gone to the embassy but I did call the embassy last week Wednesday to complain about it but they asked me to call back which I did but no one answered.. I would have gone to the embassy but my problem is how do i just go to the embassy when I didn't submit my passport there and gaining entrance there would be difficult if I don't have any appointment with them. Because I have to go thru the security protocols and we know it won't be easy to beat them. If by next week I don't hear from the embassy or TLS then I will have to go to the embassy to push my luck there. As it is am worried about my passport.

If the visa has been issued the withdrawal notice will be ignored as the visa cannot be cancel. If not you get your passport back without any refund.

Thanks bro.. I appreciate. That was just my worry. I have nothing to loose if it's just the application fee

My question now is if the visa was issued, will it be cancelled because of my withdrawal??

Hi. Can you post the UKVI number that you called and do you have an idea of how much a 3 minute call will roughly cost?
It's been 15 working days and I'm yet to get a response. Thank you

Here is the information:
By phone
Telephone: 00 44 203 481 1736
Monday to Friday, 24 hours
Calls cost £1.37 per minute on top of your standard network charges.

By email
Email UK Visas and Immigration.
Emails enquiries cost £5.48. You will not be charged for any follow-up emails about the same enquiry.

You’ll get a reply to your email within 2 days, except on Saturdays, Sundays and UK public holidays.

I actually got an email this morning from UKVI that my passport has been sent, and dat I shud have received it by now, though am yet to receive a mail from TLS to come pick up.

Hello Sir,
Please kindly give your advice on my situation.

I did my biometric on 23rd April at Ikeja British embassy.

Till now they have not sent me an email for pick up and it's now 2month plus

But last week Wednesday 20th of June, They sent me an email CUSTOMER SURVEY UK Visa Immigration .
My surprise I can't understand because this message is sent to people have collected the passport??

Please advice me or maybe my passport is ready for pick up.

I appreciate your advice.

Thank you

We both have similar case.. I did my biometrics on the 10th of May and I got an email for survey and till this moment I have not received any email for pick up.

I went to their office at Ikeja 2 weeks ago, I have called UKVI 3 times already and I went to TLS Ikeja today still my passport is not there. I called UKVI again to update them of my situation and they said they are going to expedite my case and get back to me but it's going to take approximately another 15 working days. I really don't know what is happening.. cos o was told dat the passports are sent to Sheffield and I was informed dat a decision has been made on my application since the beginning of this month being June... so we just relax, trust God dat everything is going to be fine and hope for the best.

Hi Gurus,

Quick one pls!!

I got PTDF Scholarship to go for my PhD in the UK and I will like to go with my son and husband as dependants, now here are my questions

1. Is my husband's statement of account needed to process his visa?

2. Do we all have to share the same last name?

3. If we don't share the same last name, what are the documents I need to provide to proof we a family

4. How early can my husband get a Job on the UK?

5. Please what the average monthly rent for a bedroom OR 2 BEDROOM apartment in EDINBURGH.

Thanks!!!

1. His statement of account is needed if he's working or has a business, except u are stating dat u are the one sponsoring the trip... which I think is a bad signal showing intention to migrate.

2. If u are a family u must not all share the same last name.

3.U need a marriage certificate and birth certificate of ur son

U can make all color if u want.. but the best is to make ur passport data page colored, ur previous and current visas colored then all other documents can be in black and white except maybe IC

Hello,I was rejected 2011 due to infow into my salary acct but I want to apply with my hubby n son. I have tbills of about 2m, with a statement of about 800K. I also v insurance of abt of 900K of which 20K is taken monthly to mature in March 2019. The issue is my hubby does my v any fixed income as a business man,not registered. Even though we v a joint acct with abt 1.7m. Are there chances of rejection

U have a greater chance of getting a visa if ur application is filled correctly with all the necessary documents to back it.. but the challenges u will face is it husband's cos how do u explain u are a business man and u are not registered or incorporated? So I think his case will spoil everything...

U are right I think the UK savings account is not easily accessed unlike the Nigeria Savings account. Cos they have no issues when u provide a savings account here unlike the UK

So my mums visa application to come and visit me and my family for a one month visit to see her grandson (5 month old) on holiday was refused.

Attached is the refusal letter.

She is not a first timer. She has visited us in the UK before back in 2011 to attend our marriage blessing (wedding) and she only spent two weeks which was what she quoted on her application form at the time.

Here are the documents that I submitted:

1. Invitation letter
2. My British passport
3. 6 month pay slip from work
4. My Son's birth certificate
5. My current account statement (with balance of less than £100)
6. My Savings account statement (with balance of a little over £7,000 pounds)
7. My wife account (where all our household expenses are debited from)

8. My mortgage statement (to prove my residence)

9. 11 months worldremit money transfer receipts (I send N50,000 each to my dad and mum every month for their upkeep.
I also include a money transfer receipt from february this year showing that I sent home money to pay their rent at the flat that they live in).

My mum submitted the following documents

1. Her bank statement (that reflect the monthly 50k money transfer I do through the agent into her account every month)

2. My dads bank statement (that shows that I send the same amount to my dad too)

3. A letter from my dad stating that he is giving permission for my mum to visit us in the UK for one month

4. A copy of my dads passport showing that they bear the same last name (they don't have a marriage cert. They married under traditional marriage)

5.

In the invitation letter, I stated that I will be funding her trip from Lagos to Nigeria to heathrow and to my house and back to Nigeria at the end of the trip using the money saved in my savings account (i quoted the account number).

I also said that my parents are dependent on me and I send them regular stipends (with the money transfer proof and their bank statement to show it) as they are older (dad is in his 70''s) and do not have any form of income like pension.

I also mentioned that she will be staying the entire trip at our residence. And i mentioned that I have earmarked the sum of £3,500 out of the funds available in my in my HSBC savings account for her trip.

I gave a detailed budget below:

Flight Ticket and Airport Transfer £1,000
Grocery/Food shopping £600 (for four weeks)
Visit to attractions £500
Stipends (for her to spend) £750
Travel Insurance £150
Miscellaneous £500

Can you good people in the house help me look over this and suggest what I can do to resolve the issues that the ECO raised. Thanks.

In my opinion I think u need to write a cover letter to explain why the debit of £64 in March, then maybe transfer the money u wish to use on ur mom from ur savings account to ur current account then have ur bank to give u a reference letter which shows dat the said amount is easily available to u.. then attach all other documents... Just my opinion but u can try and get a more accurate answer from the gurus.

I'm wondering though.... Are you the one that did and submitted this your application by yourself? How did you skip the TLS phase if you did? Or is it just that you don't know your way round checking of status? Login and click on the first item on your left that reads "Track My Application", you then should see it....

I actually didn't fill my application myself.. I did with the help of an agent who normally fills my visa application form when I intend travelling.. so I just got the printed copies and attaches my documents to submit. Though I have tried registering on TLS to login and track my application which I did but I don't seem to get any feedback. So I guess I didn't register properly. But I got the first email from shefo.gov that my application has been received and is prepared for an ECO

My husband is trying to apply for a business visa to write PLAB 2 exam. We are thinking of applying for 5 days though he has to stay for 25days(classes and practice) He has no travel history. What do you guys think? Can a first timer spend more time than what was initially mentioned? Very confused now

Am not sure but I don't think he needs a business visa to go write an exam, he shud apply for the suitable visa then he shud be honest to state the number of days he intends to stay, and finally no travel history might be a disadvantage but there is no harm in trying..
