Funny and amusing things will not seize to happen in this planet we find ourselves! Somewhere in Bamako, Mali, A "prophet" appeared on a wall, (the white stuff the men are pointing at in the pics above) and Malians from different part of the country came to see the "prophet". The owners of the house where the prophet appeared, started making cool cash from people who came to see the "Wall-Prophet"(my own words). See more photos after the jump..... http://www.chuzzyblog.com/2015/07/photo-prophet-appeared-on-toilet-wall.html

A Chuzzyblog reader in Aba just sent this across to me. "Goodday Chuzzy, There is serious Shooting going on in Ariaria International Market and environs. A Policeman who identity i do not know at the moment, allegedly killed a shoe-maker (whose name i do not know either). Other Shoe-makers in the market and environs decided to fight the policeman and within a short while, other policemen began to shoot rapidly into the air and chased people out of the market and as i type now. the market is empty. The shoe-makers have staged a riot all over the area from 7-deck down to ariaria, lighting fire all over the streets and making a hell of noise. Will update you with photos when the area is a bit calm" Well.... What can i say? i have called to confirm tho. Can anyone in Aba confirm this too? Catholic Priest and founder of Enugu Adoration Ministry, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, yesterday, celebrated his 20th priesthood anniversary, describing it as victory over enemies of truth and blackmailers. This came just as President Muhammadu Buhari hailed the patriotic spirit of Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka saying that ”Father Mbaka is a great priest who was not afraid to speak truth to power, even at the cost of his own life or being hated by leaders in power.” It should be re-called that Mbaka’s message of change, which he delivered before the March 28 presidential election, attracted criticisms, especially from the supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Speaking at the Christ the King Parish, Enugu, during his 20th anniversary mass, attended by thousands of worshippers, including the wife of the Enugu State Governor, Mrs. Monica Ugwuanyi, the cleric said despite all the attacks against him, God continued to protect him because he remained on the side of the truth. He declared: “I am not tired after 20 years, 20 years of good health; 20 years of miracles from God; 20 years of hard apostolic work; 20 years in the hand of God. There was a time they blackmailed me; they were saying such things like ‘Mbaka why? Mbaka this, Mbaka that’, but I have remained in the hand of God.” He, however, said he had forgiven his attackers, praying God to “forgive all those who have fought us on the course of this ministry and bless those who have stood behind us.” In a special message, entitled, ’20-point agenda,’ Fr. Mbaka said he was praying for President Buhari “that God will protect him so that enemies will not destroy him. I also pray for Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi so that God will not allow occultic men to steal his vision.” In a brief chat with journalists, the spokesman of the ministry, Maximus Ugwuoke said blackmail and unnecessary criticisms had rather strengthened the cleric. According to him: “Those who are saying he should stay out of politics are misguided. It is part of the role of priests. So, they are merely trying to cow him down but I can tell you that Fr. Mbaka is not somebody to be intimidated; the more they do this, the more he is strengthened. “In these past years, you can see how God had vindicated him; you can see his prophetic message before the general elections; at a time, he was repeating that prophecy even in the face of threat to his life. So, today, we are celebrating victory against enemies of truth.” President Buhari in a statement by a Senior aide on Media and publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, President Buhari said: “Father Mbaka is a great priest who was not afraid to speak truth to power, even at the cost of his own life or being hated by leaders in power.” Adding that: “though honest opinions attract hostility from leaders detached from reality”, history would be kind to Father Mbaka for courageously speaking truth to power, even at great risks. President Buhari, who said he is “overwhelmed by Mbaka’s sincerity and patriotism” prayed to God to grant the Priest more good health, long life and wisdom in the service of humanity, adding that he is a fountain of inspiration to all Nigerians. http://www.chuzzyblog.com/2015/07/blackmailing-me-only-makes-me-stronger.html

A newlywed couple from Denver were struck by lightning while hiking Mount Yale near Buena Vista, Colorado, on Friday, killing the bride. The woman was identified as Kathleen Bartlett, 31, of Denver. The man was identified as Ryan Pocius, 32, also from Denver. He was described as being in critical condition. The lightning strike happened on a Trail at 2 p.m. at an elevation of approximately 12,500 feet, which is about 2,000 feet below the summit. A father and son from Colorado Springs were also struck in the area at approximately the same time, and they both suffered minor injuries but were able to walk to safety. Their names have not been released. It took search crews more than two hours to reach the Denver man and woman. A Flight for Life helicopter was also delayed in getting to the scene to transport the man to the hospital due to stormy conditions. Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has instucted the 2015 UTME candidates to check its website on Monday, August 3, for the list of universities they have been redistributed to. In a conversation with Vanguard yesterday, the Head of JAMB, Lagos, Dr. Beatrice Okorie said: “The 2015 UTME candidates are to check JAMB’s website on Monday, August 3, for the list and the universities they have been redistributed to.” Okorie, who lamented the controversy that greeted the new admission policy explained that the efforts were only geared towards helping candidates of oversubscribed institutions gain admission to other federal or state universities rather than wasting their scores. “If we have not done that, many of these candidates would have fallen prey of the universities’ money-making machine, that is, the post-UTME without securing admission even with their high scores,” she added. Using the University of Lagos as an example, she noted that its carrying capacities cannot accommodate more than 5,000 students, and yet has about 32,000 candidates struggling for the slots. She said: “What we have done is to look at those who have not met with the cut-off points of UNILAG based on merit, catchment areas and the educationally less disadvantaged areas, but who have chances of securing admission in other federal and state universities and push them there to write post-UTME tests.” Okorie, who slammed universities that are using the post UTME to make money, reiterated JAMB’s commitment to helping candidates secure admission without stress. According to her, what is the essence of post-UTME being conducted on English, Mathematics and general papers? They are fraudulent and that is what the stakeholders have stepped in to address.” On UNILAG, she queried the rationale behind its decision to conduct test on Mathematics for students seeking admission in subjects not related to Mathematics such as Religious Studies, History, Dramatic Arts, among others.
