Nigerian man, Olaoluwa Ibrahim,38, was yesterday July 28th sentenced to jail by the Central Criminal Court in London for raping and stealing from a woman he attacked in Central London in June last year.

UK's metropolitan police say Ibrahim's victim was on her way back from an outing with her friends in Central London when he accosted her and raped her.

After leaving her friends, the victim got on a bus and decided to stop close to her house so she could take a short walk home. As she walked, Ibrahim approached her from behind and tried to engage her in conversation. She tried ignoring him by walking away but he grabbed her and pushed her into a driveway where he forced her to the floor and raped her, before stealing her phone and running from the scene. The victim was able to make her way home and subsequently contacted the police.

Officers were able to trace Ibrahim via extensive phone inquiries as he had made a number of calls to the victim’s new phone following the incident. When interrogated, he denied knowing the victim, saying his DNA will not be found on her as he had not had sex with anyone. DNA testing showed that his DNA matched the one found on the victim’s clothing. He then changed his story, claiming to have had consensual sex with the victim and denied stealing her phone.

The victim is now living in Australia and to save her the trauma of having to return to the UK for the trial, officers traveled there and provided specialist computer equipment which allowed her to give her evidence remotely via a live link to the court.

Ibrahim pleaded guilty to rape and theft. Delivering judgement, the presiding judge ruled that after serving his prison term, he will be deported back to Nigeria.

Its either you have only been to high profile Nigerian private school or u haven't been to any school in Nigeria. That's the sure thing in federal and state schools.

Following the death of the UNIBEN student, Rita, the school has banned students from wearing headsets and earpieces outside of their rooms. They say this is a security measure to ensure that students are alert at all times. This was posted yesterday at Tinubu Hall in the school.

The former Chief Security Officer of former president Jonathan, Mr Gordon Obua is reportedly lying critically ill at the National hospital. According to friends of the former CSO who shared his photo on Facebook, Mr Obua has continued to suffer both physically and mentally and has been in great pain since the day he returned home on July 21st after being detained by the DSS. They say his abdomen is swollen and he has great difficulty moving around.


According to his family members, they are already making plans to fly him overseas for a more accurate evaluation and treatment as advised by his family physician. Mr Gordon was arrested by DSS officials as part of measures by the new administration to probe officials who worked under GEJ's government. He was released on July 21st.

This Boy is devil's incarnate if you ask me

This is the most disheartening news i have come across in a very long time. This is pure Bizarre!

A 16-year-old boy named Tajudeen Azeez, lured his 4 year old neighbour to a primary school in the Ijaniki area of Lagos, stabbed him, strangled him and removed his intestines, his kidney and cut off of his penis. He did because a man named Osho had approached him and asked him to get him fresh human parts and would pay him N50,000. N50,000 is what a human is worth to some. N50k. Unbelievably sad! Before you continue, i must warn you, the picture you will see below is so graphic.

"At first, I did not want to succumb to the temptation but it kept coming. When I woke up this morning (Monday), I saw Ibrahim at the back of the house. I told him to escort me to a primary school not too far from the house. The name of the school is Anglican Primary School, Ijanikin. He followed me to the place and on arrival there, I stabbed him with a knife from behind. He fell down and I strangled him with a rope. I then cut his stomach open with the knife. I am sorry for what I did,”

He was of course caught and made to carry the deceased body. The photo is extremely graphic so please be warned before you continue...

Tajudeen has been arrested by the Lagos state police command according to a report by Daily Trust and is currently at the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID), Yaba.

According to the acting police public relations officer for the Lagos Command, Patricia Amadin, the body of the deceased has been deposited at a government mortuary. She said Tajudeen was arrested following intelligence information.

“Based on the strength of the information, the DPO and his men raced to the place. On arrival, they found the lifeless body of a four-year-old boy while the suspect was soaked in the deceased’s blood. From close observation, it was discovered that some vital organs such as the kidney and intestine had been removed from the deceased. All the organs were kept in a black nylon bag. The suspect was promptly arrested and taken to the station,” Amadin said.

She said they are now looking for the said Osho

EL Doctorow, critically acclaimed author of the novels Ragtime and Billy Bathgate, has died aged 84 in a New York hospital, according to his son.

Richard Doctorow said his father died of complications from lung cancer.

He was known for works which re-imagine the American experience, placing fictional characters in recognisable historical contexts.

US President Barack Obama paid tribute to him as "one of America's greatest novelists".

The president tweeted: "his books taught me much, and he will be missed.''

In a 50-year career, Doctorow published 10 novels, a stage drama, two books of short fiction and numerous essays.
