Popular Ghanaian Actress Rose Mensah, a.k.a Kyeiwaa, has confirmed that she divorced her husband of four days after she found out he was married with kids.

The man in question is Daniel Osei, the Kumasi-based Spare Parts dealer popularly known as American Man.He rented a crowd to attend the wedding and told his wife the pictures from the wedding were for a movie .The 52 year old actress confirmed the divorce in an interview with Accra-based Kasapa FM.

“I have never liked married men. He was not truthful; so when i realized he had a wife, i decided to exit.”
She said she ignored claims of his infidelity because she thought they were untrue .She continued

“I still gave him the benefit of doubt. I still did not want to believe it was true that he had a wife. I thought I was going to benefit from the negative PR. But it turned out days later that everything people were saying was the truth.”
“He did not show any sign that he had a wife. We dated for a year. I trusted him but he chose to betray me. He is very cunning. The way he is, he can easily get you to fall for him. I met him on the streets of Kumasi.

I knew he had a child but he assured me that he had not engaged her. So it came to me as a shock that he had actually married her legally,” Kyeiwaa narrated.

well.... So many have given different opinions, am not up to counter any especially LadyF's & Chubbygal's, but i want to clearly point out this; This question is not unreasonable and lots of women in this country are core house wives cos they are yet to spot a job that will give them the time to face domestic issues and also the morals of the children of the family. I posted this here so that affected moms will get insight from nairalanders and know how to shape themselves to get into something that will enable them perform dual operations.

Meshack was murdered while staying with a friend at Ago-Owu in Bariga, Lagos state. Narrating what happened, Kubirat said

"At about 8pm on July 25, 2015, I received a call from a man who identified himself as Lekan Olusho, that my husband has been killed and that I should go and pick his corpse. That was simply how I received the news of the death of my husband. I don’t know anybody called Lekan Olusho. I don’t even know the particular house in Ago-Owu area where he was staying with his friend.
My husband works with a private security company in Ogun state. It was Lekan and his gang of cultists that murdered him. All I want is justice. Those involved in the murder of my husband should not go free,”she said

The police was immediately contacted and investigations into the matter commenced. Officers of the State Criminal and Investigations Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos, arrested nine suspected cultists in connection with the victim’s death. Among the suspects were ; Taye Ajayi, 20; Biodun Olaide, 25; Aliu Adisa, 26; Sunday Nwukuliye, 27; Micheal Odubamise, 22; Abu Mohammed, 14; Adetayo Adeboye, 24; Basiru Rewane, 20; and Ayomide Surulere.

The police also recovered a cutlass and two charms from the suspects. When interrogated, one of the suspects, Taye Ajayi denied killing Meshack but said it was Lekan Olusho, the man who called the victim's wife that was responsible for the murder.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Monday 3rd August 2015, arraigned one Bawa Momodu before Justice I.E Ekwo of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on a 16-count charge bordering on forgery, uttering and stealing to the tune of N27million. The petitioner, Sterling bank Plc, alleged that Momodu, a former staff of the bank, stole about N27m from the account of one of its customers. The accused allegedly forged the signature of the said account holder, and fraudulently withdrew the monies from the bank.

Investigations further revealed that the said amount was transferred to the Sterling Bank account of one Emilia Ugwandu, who is now at large, in a bid to hide the source of the stolen funds. The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against him

One of the counts reads, “that you Bawa Momodu, male, on or before the 17th day of December, 2012 in Port Harcourt, within the jurisdiction of this honorable court did present to officials of Sterling Bank Plc a forged Sterling Bank Fund Transfer document No. 1238802 in favor of Don Kumy Ventures Nigeria Limited, with the intent that Sterling Bank Plc may act upon it as genuine and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1(2)(c) of the Miscellaneous Offences Act, Cap M17, Revised Edition, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria Act, 2007 and punishable under Section 1(2) of the same Act”.

In view of his plea, the prosecution counsel, A. Olatunji asked for a date for the commencement of trial. However, the defence counsel, K. Allen Nwogwama prayed the court to grant his client bail. Justice Ekwo granted the accused person bail in the sum of Seven Million Naira (N7, 000,000.00), and one surety in like sum. The surety must be a responsible member of the society with landed property worth the bail sum, to be verified by the court registrar and the prosecution. The accused person is also to be reporting at the EFCC on the last day of every month.

In a related development, Justice Ekwo has ordered the remand of one Festus Agadi in prison custody till September 23, 2015, when his application for bail would be considered. Agadi was docked by the EFCC August 3, on a one count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N1,700,000.00 (One Million Seven Hundred Thousand Naira). He pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him. The accused, an employee of Petra Services Limited, is alleged to have defrauded the company to the tune of N1, 700,000.00 (One Million Seven Hundred Thousand Naira) only on the pretext that the money was the cost price of a used Caterpillar Excavator Engine he has secured for the company.

The charge reads, “that you, Festus Agadi Orji on or about the 21st day May, 2015 at Sterling Bank Nigeria Plc, Artillery Branch, Port Harcourt within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court with intent to defraud did obtain the sum of N1, 700.000.00 (One Million, Seven Hundred Thousand Naira) from Petra Services Limited which was paid into Black Duke Global Services Ltimited’s First Bank Account No. 2026661557 under the false pretence that the said sum of money was the purchase price of one (1) used Caterpillar Excavator Engine from Ibadan which you knew to be false and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1 (1) (a) and punishable under Section 1 (3) of the Advance Fee Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006”.

Helen Ozor an event blogger shared a story of how her car was vandalized before she was robbed at Unilag.

A lot of things happen to people at the University of Lagos but we only get to hear a few of these things or we may not even hear about these things at all. For about a month, I have been taking photography classes at Yaba. Yesterday, 4th of August, my photography coach fixed our class at the Sports Centre at the University of Lagos.

I drove into the premises at about 2pm. Meanwhile, a sporting event organized by MTN took place at the sports centre yesterday. After my class at about 5pm, I got to the car park and discovered that my car had been burgled with three of the glass wand down. My camera bag containing 2 lenses, 64gig memory card, batteries, camera cable, blackberry Q10, another bag containing my wallet, notepads, GTB ATM card, ID card, voters card, money , drivers Licence were all stolen from the car.

I also discovered that my car key could not lock the door. The security guards at the sports centre referred me to their security office where I made a statement. After I narrated my ordeal, one of the security officer said 'You're lucky they didn't go with your car'. I was also asked to report the case at the Sabo police station. When I narrated what happened to the officer in charge of the case at the station, he made me understand that this isn't the first time people would report cases of theft to them.

Apparently, the situation is getting out of hand. Just incase you would be attending an event at Unilag or you have some engagement within the premises of the institution, please note that your things are not safe. You park at your own risk despite the presence of security guards.
