I got a call around 9 am on Friday and one male voice, called me by both my first and middle name( probably to drive home d point he knows me too well) but that was d red alert I needed. Because I never make use of that middle name except on my CV..I don't even introduce myself by it. It has always bn my first name. So he continued,speaking igbo but I will write the conversation in English.

Me: hello..good morning

Voice: how are u? Are u still on bed,nawa ooo,long time. I mazikwara mma?( hope u are still beautiful) U no dey call me or even flash. Na so u dey forget person? (Very jovial)

Me: *stutters* thinking it was someone I really knew. I had to lie at this point..I am sorry ooo,I lost my fon and I was hoping u would call me one day so that I save it again ( still trying to know if I will detect caller with voice cos because of the lie,i could even ask what his name is again)

Voice: i for say! unlike u..it's okay...when did u lose ur phone?

Me: last month

Voice: I hope u ve gotten work now? The last time we saw u told me u were looking for a job

Me: no official job yet but I am managing a small side hustle.

Voice: okay...well,I was transferred frm nnpc depot ejigbo to pH and there is this small contract that my company is giving out but as d head of my unit,i want to give it to my own person.The issue is, I don't know if u can do contract work seeing that u behave like ogbolo atimes.

Lo and behold,d very first input and Almighty Google took me to this page. And I was shouting while reading through people's encounter. I was still reading when 'engr' mike called me again to know whether I ve called the 'sales manager' and I said no. What are u waiting for? Pls call fast let's seal this deal. Now I already know d drill for sure but because I had enough crd frm glo bumpa bonus,I decided to have a good laugh by calling d number.

Pastor Omar: hello.(voice like a dog that has not eaten in 2days)

Me: okay,will get back to u. Then I called d so called engr

Me: he said bla bla bla (refer above) I was already laughing hysterically now.

Me:so u this idiot looked for whom to scam, na me u decide to call up

E.M: sounding jittery at this point..it's not scam my dear.. who told u its scam? Don't u remember me..I was only trying to help.

Me: starts raining curses on him and his generation both in igbo language and English. At this point he reached for the red button and d line goes dead. I called back to continue heaping abuses,he picked and cut off once he heard my curses.

End of encounter.

My neighbour has plenty cartons for sale. I will give her ur contact. She has bn collecting them to sell to one company like that but has trouble transporting them to d said company cos of the bus fare involved. Do u come to people's house to pick up?

thank u dear... That was my undoing.. I didn't have time to practise well as I downloaded d app just on d morning of my CBT test. I ve reapplied and have started practising and it was actually easy to ace. All I needed to do was to begin d words that start in capitals in same capital and insert every punctuation marks and spacing as contained exactly in d passage. I am hoping to get a call frm them again.

I did my CBT on Monday.. Got the mail yesterday night. I didn't really practise before I went in for the test. U can't believe I downloaded d app and practised all through today and I aced every one of those paragraphs. I noticed u have to use capitals,space and use all punctuations where necessary exactly as contained in d passage. I ve reapplied but I don't know if they are still calling.

My fellow nairalanders,it's with a heavy heart that I announce to u that I received d regret mail. I knew I flunked the typing part but I was praying for a miracle to happen. I was tensed up during the test and typed in a hurry affecting my accuracy. I am sad but life goes on...

yes u can! U don't even need to reschedule. Just waltz in there on Monday with ur mail or test invite plus id. U will write. Etisalat is still calling people so CBT is still ongoing for now.

u can wear ur jeans and a nice top. It's just a test. U can be in corporate when u are invited for the interview.

I gat 35wpm and 75accurancy,i almost wept but the guy there told me to get the best all simulation N problem solving test rite which I did to d best of my ability... Dont worry we gona get mail for buddy invite soon

thank u so much...I was really down thruout yesterday after d CBT. I kept thinking about this low typing performance. I did well in d call and problem solving part at least to d best of my knowledge. I pray we all scale through. Thanks for lifting my spirit.

If I open my mouth and talk abt my score in the typing test eeehhhh..una go pity me. 54% accuracy and 21 wpm. The second one na him worst sef. 21% accuracy and almost same for wpm. God take over

Still here oo ..1:30pm don turn to after 3. If to say i know,I for claim 12pm,by now,I will be home sleeping..I noticed they don't check time. The lady in green just comes into d room and call out time. Once u raise ur hand for a particular time,she counts u in...no one checks to see if that's really ur time to write d test.

Type it the way u see it. And before u start typing try to read the write up so u won't B looking at d keyboard and the system at the same time. It's when u are slow that ur wpm reduce and when u don't make mistake ur accuracy goes up. For the capital letters and others it's necessary you input them. Goodluck

For d typing test,is it necessary to type d letters that are in capitals in capital too?? What if i type all in small letters, will it affect my accuracy?...i downloaded d typing master on my lappy and practised. I noticed that when i omit,the fullstops,commas,quotation marks and all other punctuation marks, that my accuracy is very poor. But when i add them as contained in d passage,i get very high accuracy but low wpm. Nawa ooo. My lappy battery died before i could check whether typing words that begin with capital letter,in small letter matters. Who knows plss? I didnt have enough time to really practise because i just downloaded the stuff this morning and my test is by 1:30 today.

The person coming frm VI, find ur way to oshodi under bridge. Ask for buses going to mushin and tell d conductor to drop u at challenge bus stop.

The person coming frm orile,get to mile two. Then pick a bus going to oshodi. Stop at iyana isolo. Take keke frm there to mushin bus stop. Frm there, pick a bike or keke to challenge bus stop or kuku tell them to drop u at Mobil filling station. The call centre is beside it.
