Hello House,

Please I'd like to confirm if someone who has BSc in Biotechnology with consistent 5yrs work experience in Financial Sales in a Bank can apply for the Canadian express entry program, for the occupation - Financial Sales. The person would like to confirm if Canadian immigration authorities can accept someone whose degree program is not related to the intended occupation? thanks

It seems the SINP OID has stopped accepting applications. I tried submitting mine, but got a notification stating that it intake threshold has been reached. Did anyone experience such?

Hello House,

Please I'm having an issue with the SINP OID application. I'm currently filling the online application The application seems to be taking me back to the SINP Express Entry application and saying this category has been closed. Did anyone experience such? I'm wondering if I'm working with the wrong application link. I'll appreciate if someone can post the exact link for SINP Occupations In Demand application.

A quick response will be appreciated as we are all aware that the application closes very fast. Thanks

Schelube:

I finally paid for my assessment today using UBA Visa Africard full KYC as i was told today. #266,000 equivalent of AUD1025 was debited from my account. Its for migration skill assessment with CDR AUD750 + Fast track AUD275 only.

Hi Schelube, thanks for the info. My estimate shows that the payment was done at a good exchange rate at 1AUD = NGN259.52. Is the exchange rate for the UBA Visa Africard is close to the CBN rate for web payments?

Not a problem, as you are still within the total word limit.

Thanks

Hello Engineers in the house!
For the Career episodes, I understand that the total word limit is between 1000 - 2500, but the word limits for the sub sections states Introduction - approx 100 words; Background (200 - 500) words; Personal Eng. Activity (500 - 1000 words); Summary (50 - 100) words.
I have exceeded the word limit for Personal Eng. Activity, but have a total of 1950 words still below the total word limit being 2500 words. I would like to confirm if this is going to be an issue, because adding up the the sub-section's max. word limit, it shows max. of 1700 words, which did not sum up to the 2500 total max. word limit.

Please I need your advice on this.

Thanks

Guys, please I'd need your input on this. Thanks

Congratulations Jukeblam.
I intend to apply for my EA assessment, without claiming points for work experience. I would like to confirm if it is mandatory to provide employer's reference letters to support the work experience we are not claiming points for.

Also, is it possible for one to be successfully assessed as a professional engineer without engineering work experience but has both Bachelors & Masters in Engineering?

Finally, what are the implications of having the outcome to be Engineering Technologist?

Hello house,
This here is just another grant story!

Woke up this morning to the 'mysteriously exciting' sound of my phone alarm; after turning it off, I checked my emails and therein, lined one after another smiley smiley smiley, were 3 emails containing 189 visa grants for spouse, baby and I! Good start to the day for sure!

....from 1st july

Thanks oknee,

You mean from 1st July, the occupational ceilings for all SOL occupations will be reset to zero?

Hello house,

I'm planning to apply for the EA assessment via CDR but my occupation can fit into Agricultural Engineer or Environmental Engr. However, these occupations being grouped under other engineering professionals have reached the limit for occupational ceilings for 2015-2016. Please I would like to confirm when the next occupational ceilings for 2016-2017 will commence. So I can be ready as these occupations fill fast. Thanks

You can fill company Number 3only...however when you get ITA, you'll hve to include all those other companies on the personal history form on the electronic application.

For ur 2nd question in addition 2d docs listed, I'm thinking ur cert of incorporation from CAC, coy bank acct details, rent/lease receipts and any other document that supports ur case.

Thanks,

Please I would also like to confirm if I need to omit the other company's info while entering my work history at the jobbank, so the information would match my EE profile's work info. Meaning, I need to only fill the work experience I'm using to claim pts while completing the job bank's profile.

In that case, I can only submit references for the third company right?

Hi Guys,

I really appreciate the united efforts you guys are making to ensure we achieve this feat. Please i would like to confirm a few things about my work history. I'm currently in Nigeria and hope to apply from here.
- I have applied for a student's visa in the past, hence CIC has info in my work history. I have now worked for 4 different organizations in past 5 years and the job descriptions fell into 3 different NOCs.

The first 2 employers covers a total of 2yrs experience with 2 different NOCs, while the last 2 (including my current work) covers a total of 3.5 yrs experience with same NOC.).

Meanwhile the first company I worked for has been liquidated, hence my supervisor can't issue me a reference with official letter heading paper, but I listed this liquidated company while applying for my student visa in 2011 (which was refused due to insufficient funds).

Can I ignore the first two organizations (including the liquidated company) and fill only the last two organizations where I gained the required 3 yrs experience, which would also give me the maximum point for work experience?

My major concern is that the liquidated company's info was included in my student visa application in 2011,and I feel that CIC would expect me to include same details on my work history for the Perm residence application. Not sure if my application will be rejected if I omit this information as I can't produce a reference letter with the official letter heading.

Finally,I would like to get a clear information on the documents required to show the skilled work completed as a self-employed person who worked as a director of his limited liability company. I understand we need letter from clients or 3rd party, but I would like to get the full document details/checklist to support the self-employed work experience.

Thanks

Also, is it mandatory to include a bank statement to prove salary payments? Not sure I can retrieve the bank statement for salaries paid by my past employer six years ago. But I still l have copies of my payslips.
