Foreign Affairs › Re: S. Africans Tag Police After Nigerian Buys $550K Maybach, Mocks Zulus - VIDEO by chypotenti(m): 9:48am On Jul 08 |
RandDigital:
A Nigerian man sparked widespread outrage online after a video of him mocking Zulu culture from inside a luxury Maybach car went viral on 5 July 2026 in Cape Town.
The clip, shared by @realyobarnub on X, shows the man dressed in traditional Zulu attire in his car, which is valued at over $500,000 (approximately 9 million rands).
Laughing alongside his friends, they all rhymed, saying "I'm not getting back, I'm in a Maybach", before he stepped out anyway and attempted to perform the Zulu warrior dance.
South Africans were quick to respond with anger, warning that disrespecting the Zulu Nation was not something to take lightly.
The online backlash was swift and sharp, with many pointing out that the stunt reflected poorly on Nigerians living in South Africa at a time of already heightened tensions. That man if he's actually a Nigerian... Nor dey South Africa |

odoemelamemmanu: At 27, He Was Already a Bank Chairman: The Extraordinary Rise of Orji Uzor Kalu. Emmanuel Odoemelam, China. Long before he became a rep member, governor, senator, or one of the most influential political figures in contemporary Nigeria, Orji Uzor Kalu had already achieved what many spend a lifetime pursuing. A recently circulated ranking of Nigeria's youngest bank chairmen places Kalu at the very top of the list. In 1987, at just 27 years old, he became Chairman of Cooperative and Commerce Bank (CCB), a feat that remains remarkable even by today's standards. For many Nigerians, the achievement is more than a historical footnote. It is a reminder of a young entrepreneur whose journey from commerce to national leadership was built on vision, courage, and an uncommon appetite for enterprise. By his mid-twenties, Kalu had already established himself in the world of business. He was involved in international commodity trading and had interests spanning multiple sectors, including furniture, shipping, oil, manufacturing, and other commercial ventures. At an age when many young people were still searching for direction, he was building companies, creating jobs, and expanding his business footprint beyond Nigeria's borders. Those who have followed his career often point to his early years as evidence that success is not defined by age but by determination, discipline, and the ability to recognize opportunities where others see obstacles. Today, Kalu's public profile extends far beyond business. He served as Governor of Abia State, later emerged as Chief Whip of the 9th Senate at first arrival at the Red Chambers, and currently represents Abia North Senatorial District in the National Assembly. He also chairs the Senate Committee on the South East Development Commission (SEDC), where he plays a key role in advancing development initiatives across the region as a top ranking senator. Yet, despite decades in public service, many still associate him with the entrepreneurial spirit that first brought him national recognition. His story resonates because it reflects the possibilities available to young Africans willing to dream beyond limitations and work relentlessly toward their goals. For Nigeria's Generation Z, Kalu's journey offers powerful lessons. It demonstrates that leadership can begin early, that wealth creation can be built through enterprise and innovation, and that business success can evolve into a platform for national service. More than four decades after he began his business journey, Kalu remains a prominent figure in Nigeria's economic and political landscape. At 66, he continues to command attention whenever conversations turn to leadership, development, and the future of the country. Amongst the class of 1999 governors, he remains one of the renowned very important persons with a known source of cash flow as recognized by Forbes magazine and several other global financial journals. His rise from a young businessman to a bank chairman, rep member, governor, senator, and national statesman stands as one of the most compelling success stories of his generation a story that continues to inspire young Nigerians to believe that greatness is possible, regardless of where they start. In a nation constantly searching for examples of perseverance and achievement, the life of Orji Uzor Kalu serves as a reminder that ambition, hard work, and resilience can transform youthful dreams into a legacy that spans generations. Chairman of a defunct bank.... This man nor get good publicity secretary I swear.... They just succeeded in ending the man's career ...... |

Romance › Re: What My Fiancee's Pastor Told Me The Day I Met Him. by chypotenti(m): 2:32am On Mar 25 |
Toolegit123: Good day everyone.
So recently I've been thinking about marriage. Tho I'm in a relationship but the woman I've been dating doesn't really seem to have the same serious interest and intentions like me. I've talked to her severally but it seems she isn't ready to settle down yet. Imagine this is someone whom I've gone to see her people and they know me well. My own people know her too. I've equally talked to her mom since she's the one parent she has . And had also talked to her best friend about it too.
But one thing I've noticed about her is that she's over religious and seems to be too close to her pastor. The last time I talked to her about the marriage stuff, she directed me to go and talk to her pastor. Tho I was initially furious about it but I just had to man up,kill my pride and decided to pay her pastor a visit.
From the conversation I had with her pastor,it seems he's one of the major stumbling blocks. Because he was only curious about my financial status he was even asking me what was my source of livelihood, and of which I told him. Afterwards,he then asked me what was my monthly salary. Saying if I'm sure I can take care of my fiancee with that amount,or if I'm planning to have a side hustle. That he doesn't want a case where any of her spiritual daughter will go into a marriage where she'll be suffering. I told her categorically clear that I'm not a lazy man and I don't intend to put anyone's daughter into suffering in the name of marriage.
It's been over a week since I left the pastor's office, and since then,my fiancee has been behaving so cold towards me.
So I don't know whether to continue with my proposal or I should just kindly look for another lady to marry. Oga leave am run for your own good... The Pastor is probably having an affair with her... But her eye go soon clear when the Pastor deal with am finish..... That's why I hate Nigerian Christianity... Oga the sign's are clear oooooooo |
Romance › Re: Lady Narrates Heartbreaking Story Of Sharing Her Boyfriend With Another Woman by chypotenti(m): 9:43pm On Feb 26 |
Rep9jaCom: A Nigerian lady has stirred emotional reactions online after opening up about how she remained in a relationship where her boyfriend was openly involved with another woman.
In a viral video shared on TikTok, the heartbroken lady recounted how she discovered her boyfriend was cheating.
When she confronted him, he allegedly told her he loved both women and could not choose between them.
Instead of walking away, she said she tried to adjust to the painful reality in a bid to keep the relationship.
According to her, she even made efforts to befriend the other woman so things could work smoothly.
In a shocking revelation, she disclosed that when her boyfriend travelled to another city to visit the other lady, she helped him pack his bags and even accompanied him to the airport.
The situation later became more complicated when he told her they had broken up. However, she eventually discovered it was a lie.
Despite knowing the truth, she said she pretended not to be aware because she feared he would end the relationship if she confronted him.
Things took an even more painful turn after he finally broke up with her. She claimed he still reached out for casual sexual encounters, clearly stating that it was not a relationship.
According to her, she never found the courage to walk away on her own. In the end, he was the one who completely ended things, and despite her pleas and attempts to reconcile.

DeclanR: Please Doctors, kindly come to my aid.
WHAT HAPPENED
I don't know if it's called Earpod, Earbud or Airpod, but it's all earpiece. So I bought a Bluetooth one, downloaded Spotify playlist app on my phone's playstore and began listening to jamz 24/7 except when I'm bathing. Even at work, I use it.
I wasn't used to using accessories like this.
So, I noticed a pain inside my right ear, later it became a boyl. I felt the pains, took Bicham ampiclox and after a few days, it disappeared.
Now I can't hear with that ear any longer. I can only partially hear with it.
HOW AM I FEELING ?
In the ear, I feel like there's a blockage which is impeding sound. I feel like there's water in there. You know how it is when you're bathing and water enters into your ear? That's how the feeling is, right now. If I'm talking to someone, I feel there is an earpiece hanging in my ear, so I need to speak louder than normal. This is the Third day. I am worried. Bro the boil you had never disappeared, the Ampiclox you took dissolved/opened up the boil and it melted into your ear... That's why you have the feeling as if water is in your ear, just some cleaning on the affected ear and you will be fine |

wildcatter23:
I see absolutely nothing wrong with what the lady did. Infact you are the red flag!
Testing or tricking your fiance is born from a place of insecurity. Do you understand?
And the mother is correct. Why are you making a big deal out of nothing. If she is already married, I will be the first to come for her.
You are just in a relationship. So while at that, she is free to chat and explore her options. You too should be exploring your options.
Moreover, You haven't paid her dowry so she isn't yours yet. So you cannot claim double dating.
While you are looking out for yourself finding the right one, who said she can't look out for the right one for herself.
Guy, you see, a woman should exercise absolute prudence in picking a spouse.
If she chooses wrongly. She will spend her entire life ruing her choices. This is nothing new, expect you weren't experienced.
Heck, she told the fake you no sex. So, why the fuss?
That's the best response you should be expecting.
As a woman or man, you should keep your options open.
It's up to you to take my advice or leave it. This is the best comment up here!!!! She's not your wife for God's sake... |

Truths9ja: 🚨90% of ISWAP terrorising Kogi and Ondo are Ebira by Tribe - Sheikh Gumi, the Terrorist Advocate.
I don't have the data but, Gumi may not be far from the truth. Beside, he knows them all.
One Obadaki was recently recaptured by DSS following his earlier jail break. He allegedly mastermind the deeper life church bloodshed in 2012. I remembered that night too well.
The Terrorist group that attack Apostle Suleiman were Ebiras too. What about the Owo church massacre? I remembered the late Ondo state Governor raising this accusations few years ago prior to his death.
If you grew up in Ebiraland, you will have no doubts on that fact, religious extremism runs through some of our people's vein. It is not hidden. Between ourselves alone, we laid waste of our land. I remembered the time of Baba and Mustapha too. Let me stop here 🧑🦯
