amen oh... please do and come and tell us POE story, it will also be smooth IJN chicagobound: Tnx love, yours would be smoother sef. When u keep reading this thread; the confidence u build comes in handy. When the VO said the 3,500 for doctor I'm talking about isn't all: I started rapping about my hospital bill, epidural cost and the rest(I didn't carry budget sheet, so I had to prove myself with my mouth. Lol) She agreed I had knowledge of what I was doing. Meanwhile I learnt all that here. |

ok.....in the spirit of giving back, i sent a mail like you advised and requested for change of passport number on the ds 160 form, they asked me to scan my pasport to them, which i did,(sent reminders too,as i was running out of time) was sceptical though about sending it.... then i got a mail the next day saying they have changed it, but they sent a wrong account profile and reference number and then i replied them asking to change it with the one i am using for the applicatin, sent the account name to them also and they replied saying the change has been done... i went to "retrieve application", put me application id and the rest and saw that it has been changed to my original passport number, was relieved... please can you kindly answer my question and which best to fill. God bless. LadyGuinivere: How was the problem sorted? Post and help the person coming after u. In the spirit of giving back... |

hello phema, i greet you. please i wanna ask a few questions please for clarification. in the ds 160 form where they said contact person in the us" should it be my host or the docotor's? and the organziation name in the us,should it be my host place of work or the hospital's name? the contact address should it be my host or hospital? and relationship as well?? i saw your post of something like that but its not similar in part 1. quite confused and stuck, also isnt burden of proof letter frm doc and corespondence, what exactly is burden of proof, am still learning. Phema: So sorry dear. Had same pain on my right wrist, worse when trying to lift something. Started 6 weeks post partum and lasted for about 6 months. Did an x-ray and all, nothing came up. Just had to manage it.
You might want to see the Orthopedic surgeon. If nothing is wrong, then you will have to learn to cope with it till it gets better. Ndooh eh. |

thanks, but i cant fill the correct one, cause when i go to update profile, it shows the wrong passport number in just the first page i filled in order to get the ds160 confirmation number to book an appointment. after which they sent me an appointment confirmation carrying that wrong passport number,if i should fill another form, they will still ask for confirmation number which will lead to the old ds160 form. my appointment is on tuesday and i am over 30 weeks,so no time to reschedule for a later date shawlar: @cinakin I just went to read ur initial question on the matter. I thot u had submitted the form already. I think you should just fill the correct passport no. on the ds 160 and let them know that the error is just with the appointment booking... Your other option is to cancel the appointment yourself and rebook 4 a later date using the correct no. I hope you haven't done so before though cos there is a limit to d no of times u can move an appointment (I think 3x or so) |

thank you so much shawlar...Lady G has been helpful too, my question now is how long did they take to effect the change for you, my appointment is next week, i dont have time again. Also i have not submitted the form, should i go ahead to complete and submit it been reading page 1 of this thread for knowledge and i saw where Tvegas answered something similar in page 132, but i dont know if their policy has changed. [quote author=shawlar post=39718902]Not to worry, you r on the right track. They'll open the attachment and use it to verify ur passport no and effect the change for u. It happened to me b4, although mine was not inputting the full name. Give them like 24hours and if they haven't replied send them a remainder email. I think that is easier than filling anoda form and all that...... |

thank you so much Lady G, when you say follow up,do you mean i should continue with filling the form and submitting it? please how long did they take to rectify your error? also please can one reschedule and have their interview done in abuja instead of lagos? LadyGuinivere: Ah ah! U have started something already. Follow up on that and disturb the living daylight outta them cos its urgent. Send reminder emails then. I know those calls and emails work even when they 'bone' u. A friend with delayed visa printing called yest. They said we don't do visa things on the phone. Later in the evening, she got a text said visa was ready. So it pays to be persistent. The nos I have are the ones online. When I has an error , I sent my passport via attachment |
Travel › Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by cinakin: 6:03pm On Nov 05, 2015 |
yes i used the confirmation number to get a date, but in the process typed a wrong passport number, just one alphabet difference, then they sent an appointment a confirmation using the wrong passport number. cancelling and rescheduling will take longer time as i dont have time again. i mailed them today to ask for a change of passport number on my ds160 form and they replied asking me to send my scanned passport to them which i have done. i attached it in the file, now i am thinking do they open attached emails? because their website says they dont open such. if i fill the form and submit and ask them to swap, how long will it does it take them to swap? although i stated in my mail to them that i have not submitted the form yet. when i called the number i have they said they dont answer visa related issues that i should send a mail and a reminder. is there a number that can answer me directly LadyGuinivere: Let me get u right. U started a ds 160. Didn't complete. Used the nos to get a date abi? Hm. Have u considered cancelling the appointment and see if u can edit? Though I fear u may lose the 32k u paid. Option 2. Submit the ds 160 with the error and email in for them to swap with the correct one. Cos I'm thinking, if its not submitted, they wont/cant help. The earlier u start the better cos today don finish. Fill the new form tonight and submit tonight and send the email to them to them 8am tomorrow then call immedately |

congrats on your POE, your baby and mine will be due same day girlloom: All the glory to God! I arrived Detroit yesterday via KLM, flew klm to Amsterdam and delta to Detroit. I flew at 31 weeks and wasn't asked for fitness to fly. After paying 34usd for a preferred seat on the flight to Amsterdam I was so disappointed. The seat beside me was vacant and some annoying guy with a stinking breath who didn't like his original seat was made to sit there and made my trip so uncomfortable with his constant poking, turning and yawning. There were so many vacant seats o, I wonder why he was directed to that one mschewww. Got to Amsterdam around 5.30am and had to wait 4hrs 30mins for the flight to Detroit. Thank God I requested for special assistance, I was driven in that their auto wheel to a service centre where I chilled and was picked up later and dropped at my boarding gate.
Getting to the gate o, i go find trouble. Instead of me to just lay low with my big belle and green passport, I got up to go speak with one of the ladies at the counter ( after all I was honest at my visa interview so why hide), the seat on my boarding pass and seat I reserved did not tally and I wanted to know why. I hadn't finished asking my question when one black guy in suit asked to see my passport. That's how questions you expect at Poe started, he took me aside and asked for my reason for going to the U.S.
Me: childbirth Guy in suit (GIS): you are quite direct Me: (b4 Nko) GIS: let me have your documents (he types on his phone for a while) Before I knew it, he said you were denied a visa to the UK in 2014 Me: yes I was and I reapplied in 2015 and got it (y do they keep hammering on this denial sef) GIS: what do you do and what does your hubby do Me: I sha respond He asked a lot, went through every single doc and finally let me join the queue to board the plane.
Got to Detroit and was wheeled to immigration, the friendly Cbp asked the normal questions and requested for docs and sent me for secondary inspection. Let me add that Detroit airport was empty so they had a lot of time on their hands. The guy who wheeled me left me, the Cbp was initially acting all tough but he later relaxed and joked with me. Went through my documents, I had just 3kusd cash on me ( he didn't ask to see it). Had bank statement of 4m Naira which he asked to see. He concluded that I made sure all my bills were paid and receipts collected. Let me add he also talked about the UK visa that was denied ( how long will dt singular denial hunt me?) I was stamped till may 2016. Someone finally came to wheel me out after spending 15mins listening to other people's interview. Went to Agric and tuber of yam was seized. Finally with my wonderful sister inlaw and family. Baby is due Xmas day and I will be using henry-ford. May God grant us all safe delivery and all the best to the other moms who are just starting this mission. |

hello, please how can i edit if i mistakenly put the wrong passport number in my ds 160 form, although the ds 160 form hasnt been submitted? but an appointment confirmation has been sent with the wrong passport number? but the appointment was booked with my original passport number? please help, my appointment is nextweek. LadyGuinivere: U have two options. Edit your ds 160. Fill another one and writw in for them to swap. Then go with your burden of proof. Purer and simpler. Or 2. Leave the form as is. Answer we are going for vacation and birthing. Both are b1/b2. I believe the vo already stated that in the link I sent u. After that, the line of questioning will change. If u read back, ul see situations like these. Do the one you are more comfy with. Finally, your husband may go with you, after you or not with you at all to the us. Know what u want to do and tell the vo exactly as it affects your home. Your application must not be on all fours with other families' application/situation The most important thing is that your are prepared. IMO, I advice u to go with option 1 if u still have the time. I personally like all my cards to be lined up properly |

can i pm you please @kiboe ? kiboe: I arrived Houston from Lagos couple of days back,my POE experience was totally uneventful,Praise God!!!'
Cbp:morning, what are you here for Me:childbirth Cbp:huh? Me:to have my baby Cbp:Ahha...takes my picture and fingerprint and sends me off to secondary inspection
I wait for about 3mins,
Cbp:Morning Me:morning,I bring out my document bag containing all my docs which I had carefully arranged with post it and colourful highlighters(this was suppose to psychologically attract the cbp,it worked!) Cbp:Can I have that?goes through them...I wish all passengers were this prepared it make the job easy(I see you have not encountered any NL mamas I think to myself) Cbp:how long are you staying for? Me 4 months Cbp:do you have a return ticket? Me:yes,I point it out to him Cbp:what hospital are you using? Me:OMC Cbp:how much is it gonna cost you? Me:I have prepared a budget sheet for my entire stay,it is attached to the doctor's correspondendence,I have excess the amount I have stated there in cash and in case something comes up,I have more on my card.
Takes me to another room to count my cash, gives me the "get your zero balance receipt","don't take any form of aid the hospital will try to push on you" talk and stamps me in for 6months.
Off to Agriculture,wasn't searched!
I had initially typed out a more detailed info about my experience but I mistakenly hit the back button,Sigh!oh well....God has been faithful I begged him for divine favour and he delivered....in this blue Pali sojourn, three things are important.PRAYER, PRAYER & PREPARATION. |
