Hi dear! Please share your transcript, so others will learn too Christyline: Hi everyone. I have been a silent observer on this thread and I must confess that it has been a worthwhile experience. I got so many helpful information on this thread that assisted my positive interview outcome. I was granted a US visa this month even though I have never travelled out before. I stated that my purpose for going to U.S. is for childbirth, the only document that was requested for was my budget, Doctor's correspondence and I also gave him my invitation letter as I would be staying with a friend.
I went there wearing my bank's lapel and ID. The first thing the VO said was "oh, you are Banker!" Cos of my ID card. So I guess wearing of work IDs could be helpful.
I am due middle May but I want to travel first week in April. I plan to give birth in GROVETOWN, Georgia. Has anyone given birth in this town before? I need recommendations on budget hospitals and Doctors.
Thank you. |

My dear! Don't wait for them to ask you, immediately you get to their table, bring out all your documents and even if they don't ask you, offer to show them, from my experience oh! I didn't wait, I showed and I was telling him things he didn't ask and was backing it with documents...Also you can write on your form that you have strong ties and you have a good job, if you have property add it too... Then pray, only God can do it olorieka: No question about hospital or doctor and hubby was asked at my last interview and no document was checked either |

In the spirit of giving back... I had a successful ATL POE, landed 5:38 in Atl, I used wheel chair services all the way... Please I'll advice you do so, it was stress free and everything was done for me. We got to the Poe and all of a sudden the network went down for about 1hr, then it started working and they were in a haste to pass people. It got to my turn and I was wheeled to the cbp officer, the questions are in no particular order. Cbp: is this your first time here? Me: yes Cbp: how long will you be staying? Me: 76 days( he didn't hear me well) Cbp: why are you here? Me: childbirth, vacation and to take my maternity leave. Cbp: how much do you have on you?how much is in your account currently too? Me: I told him Cbp:will that be enough? do you have your cards with you? Me: I said yes Cbp: are you married? Me: yes Cbp:do you have kids Me: no! I am expecting. Cbp: so you are here to give birth, thought you said 7days and why did have you chosen the us? Me: I said yes and I told him I said 76days and because of better medical service. Cbp: have you lost any before Me: yes Cbp: have you contacted any doctor? Me: yes. Cbp: when are you due? Me: told him Cbp: where will you be going? Me: Chicago and then Kansas Cbp: where is the Kansas address. Me: gave him the invitation letter my aunt gave me. Cbp: *makes a call* stamps my passport for b2 till may 2016 and said good luck. Me: I said isn't someone going to wheel me? Cbp: he signaled someone and I was wheeled No document asked. Key is to remain calm and confident. Thanks to everyone who suggested and adviced. Now the search for cheap hospital begins... Please has anyone driven in Chicago with Nigerian driver's license? How do I go about renting a car here? Cause the weather is too cold to stand for long waiting for a train or bus! It's snowing here!!! Cold ooh |

Hi dear.. Can I pm you? effectsbaby: No i did not pay extra for the surgeon. Just showed up with the CNM during delivery at the hospital. they are in the same physician clinic but the VB went smoothly without hitches. I paid about $1800 for the CNM instead of $2300 for the doctor. |

Lol! I suppose be journalist with all my questions. I have pmed you. Thanks nefertitiram: Azzin! You have a lot of legitimate questions though. No you don't need visas for any stopover in those countries. You can PM me, but I don't have all the answers, will only try my best. I have no idea about Atl POE, I've always used JFK for all my trips to US, maybe cos I'm a New Yorker at heart, except for my last trip where I went in through Chicago |

You can use the emergency date, but you will be asked to scan some documents. If you qualify you will be emailed, try and have letter from your doctor and a letter accepting you in the us. That's what a friend of mine did and was granted MumTee: Hi all, I have a little challenge on my hands and need all d help I can get from this forum. DH was to join me on this trip to assist during delivery & post delivery. Until lately, his office refused to release him cos of a project dat cant be handed over and I am scheduled to port by weekend.
I need to quickly get an early interview date in Lagos so that my mum can join me, was up all night but earliest date was Dec 23 & baby will be past due by then. I rem we have gurus who are good with this date thing. Abeg biko o as this has destabilised me as to coping all alone. |
