Lol! Everyone is entitled to their opinion in that, some people don't see being a us citizen as a big deal, not asking how to defraud the system, when you are not entitled to it. Austine2020: I key to what u said, thats how someone asked whats the benefits of birthing in the US here on this forum after seeing everything that is happening in Nig today. |

Uncle umersijjad, if you don't have enough money to give birth in the us, it's not a do or die, give birth in naija. Your wife is not a citizen, hence she is not entitled to use medical aid of any form.( my two cents) UmerSajjad: Hello Everyone,
I am looking for an expert opinion so please all senior members try to chime in and advise me according to your knowledge and/or experience. Me and wife are in US on B1/B2 visa and will delivery baby here. My inquiry is
1. There is a government health care program that cover Mom and baby, it goes by the name of CoverKids. If I avail this insurance /financial assistance, does Medicaid/other health care programs are connected to Immigration system?
2. How Immigration department would come to know if my wife has availed this option?
3. Do they just check the payment receipts while exiting the country and who ever is not able to produce the payment receipts they mark her as "blacklisted" i.e used these healthcare assistance?
4. Medicaid/Coverkids systems are connected with Immigration and with passport number they will be able to pull up the details of medical assistance used?
5. At the time of Visa renewal, can we face any complication?
6. Do we need to notify the relevant US embassy that though our visa is B1/B2 but we have to do the baby delivery in US.
Thanks in advance !! |

Thanks a lot, mama. I'll do as you have said. AlphaHandMaiden: Cinakin: All you can have is paracetamol except you get something else prescribed by your doctor. Make sure you are well hydrated with lots of fluids annd try to get as much rest as you can manage.
Some vit.C may also help but as with most colds, the virus will just have to run its course. Also ensure the house is well aired as it helps ro get rid of the airborne virus that can hang around.
I hope you dont pass the cold onto your LO.... good luck |

It's very ok! Just hold your receipt handy, some hospitals don't even give... Can I pm you please? It's kinda urgent. Thank you. bmanbaba: So far , so good........ I want to say a very big thank you to the whole house for all the information I was able to gather. Will be going back to Naija dis week. I was able to get all necessary document for my baby: BC,SSN,passport,ETC(to b delivered tmrw) all within 2 weeks. Thanks to Nef and yokus for their tips on d ETC.
I really appreciate everybody in the house.
For zero balance, I was given a letter signed by the financial councillor stating that my wife (name stated)came to have our baby(name also stated) in their hospital and that she paid all her bill and that of our son and that she has zero balance with them and not indebted to them as all bills have been paid. Please is this enough? bcus I av once read it here that the zero balance thing shld be like a statement of account showing bill and what was paid . Kindly help with dis, so DAT I will kW if I still need to take a trip to the hospital before I leave. |

That's not entirely true, I applied immediately after rejection and got the visa, if she has enough time, she should apply next month on her own and explain why she is not an intending immigrant... Go through my post for my visa transcript. worry359: Unless you get better home-ties you will just be rejected again The normal advice is to wait six months at least and work on your evidence that you will return home after your visit. Apply too quickly and you look desperate to travel and get another red card! |
