olubankemi: I don cry my eyes don swell today. My bp too go don high.
The girl living with me scaled the fence and left the house.
Should I put up her pics on nl and plead with the mods to help move it to fp?
She told me her sister is not doing fine where she is n want to go there and let her sister come to my place. I refused and never knew she had plans. She doesn't know anywhere, people said they saw her walking in the rain. i think u should check through ur stuff if anything is missing b4 u go to the police. It happened to my friend and she was advised to go to the station and declare him wanted. That she should write a statement that he stole some money and some valuables, my sister 3days later it was the agent and his sister that brought him back and appealed to her to close the case. Just as talltosyne said that it could be the agent trying to play a fast one on you. |

MizMyColi: Hello ChanBaby
You exclusively breastfeed your child, no?
How well do you eat?
Try to get a test done to determine your PCV and Fasting Blood Sugar. They are major culprits.
Eat well, sleep WELL And please, go easy on yourself.

I'm asking because people swear by dano "cool cow" on how rich it is for 9ne year and above but on reading the pack I saw that it's instant filled... bla bla Mamas, please which brand of milk is good for a 1year old? I used to think NAN And SOME other MILK Have FOLLOW On TILL AGE 2 when it is now safe to give full cream milk. Though I don't give full cream till age 3 there are ranges of products with follow on though quite expensive but you will be glad you bought them. Pix also google for more

goodfortun: Hi mums! Happy sallah and happy Sunday! Went baby shopping yesterday and was quite overwhelmed. Especially bout clothes and gears. I need help!!! 1. I bought sleepsuits and body suits 0-3months (7) in no. Is that okay for a start? If not how many
2. What other kind of clothes can I buy? Are onesies different from the above? Then top and trousers or shorts, how many to start with.
3. Is there a specific make of towels or kind? Bot a 3-in-1 for 1900. But don't particularly like the fluffiness. Want to buy a better quality but unsure.
4. I bot a pack of 4-in-1receiving blanket. Is that okay? And is it different from burp cloth? I asked but was not given a different one.
5. Apart from bouncer what other gear is necessary for New born e.g. carrier, car seat. Don't want to buy without need initially.
6. Would appreciate prices and if possible shops where I can get these items in Lagos.
7. SOrry for the plenty queries but I'm as lost as can be and just moved to lag.

Thanks plenty! first of all check your height and that of ur hubby and also other grandchildren In your family. That will determine the sizes of cloth to buy. My kids don't wear 0-3 months ajasco(pijamas pinipini) because of their height. Unles it is very long. All the 0-3 month clothes I bought I just gave them out to other mums. So for u not to be stranded and letting other peoples choice become yours buy 0-3months 4 and 3-6months 4 pieces. Buy at least 3singlets cos they will need it to wear trousers and shirt Buy more of the short sleeve pinipini(onesie) lets say 5pieces. Then buy at least 4socks and mittens and buy at least 6caps 3cotten materials 3made of wool. As for the diaper changing mat it is very important cos my lo only like to poop and pee as soon as you remove his diaper. U can get a small one that can fit into any bag. Then u need a small bag that can contain the diaper changing mat, wipes, a few diapers, jelly(Vaseline) paracetamol, vit c, and baby oil for his head. It is necessary cos u If u have a visitor u can't leave your baby and go and start looking for thing so it should be portable enough so that an order child can always help u get it at any time. Note that when buying things buy unisex colors so that you can use them for other kids. I wore my son a shoe I bought for the sister when she was a baby and my daughter started laughing at me that I used to dress her brother like a girl cos the shoe is pink. Then buy a dozen of face towel, and a set of baby towel.

Sabi mammas especially grannies in need advice before I take my hand kill myself. 1. When I am pregnant I usually have this pelvic joint pain and a very severe one through out the pregnancy though I still manage to go to work and still do some house work the body can accommodate. But my hubby feels I am pretending. So each time he comes home and things are not done he keeps yelling at me that I am lazy and compare me with other women around. he is the type that does not lift a pin. After I delivered I was discharged 6dAys later and I went to my mom's and stayed there for another six days. I had to leave my mums cos I couldn't bear to see her struggle to walk and do other thing cos of the state of her health. Now my mother in law didn't come until the grand daughter that is living with her had post jamb to write and her centre was close to my house so they came 5wks after I delivered and left. 2days later. Meanwhile when my brother inlaws wife put to birth my mil came immidiatly she heard the news and lived with me since my BIL house is not big enough to accommodate her. So I was the one going to the mkt and cooking all the food for both MIL and BIL wife. And when I dared to complain my hubby told me that I am just jealous cos she gave birth to a son and I lost my own son that why I am bursting with jealousy. And because of the stress I lost the pregnancy I was carrying. And I prayed my heart out and God blessed my with another son. Since the day one after my CS I have been the one taking care of my daughter and newborn son. After I was discharged my younger sister went back to her husbands house cos she is newly married and pregnant. When hubby came to pick me from mumsies house she had to beg him to assist me as I am not strong enough to do chores cos of the kind of delivery I had. Indid he helped for 2days to boil water and sweep the parlour only. After the 3rd day making it day 15 after delivery I had to do everything for myself. Cook bath the kids, wash clothes keep late night to look after baby and even do school runs. And after doing all that the scare begins to pain me and when I complain he sees it as pretence. At one month he entered the house with his friends and the clothes I packed from sun was on The chair plus I have not swept for that day in the process of putting baby to sleep I dosed off. And what I heard him telling his friends is it is only in my house u can see things like dis. I felt bad and the next day I decided to mub and scrob the floor. When he walked in he said that this is how is house should look like all the time. That day I suffered pains from the CS scare for a whole week but I still had to look after the kids. He shouts when the house is not tidy. I had to carry the baby on my back to clean and cook for the family. Though sometimes he carries the baby but when he starts crying I must carry him and do what I am doing. For the past 4days my son has been crying fir nothing. I took him for a massage and things didn't change. Just dis evening when the boy started crying I was cooking when he ordered me to carry the boy.and started complaining of how I make him carry the boy, that his sister carried her children by herself. I call myself a mum and cannot find solutions to the baby's cry. That I am so lazy I cant take care of the house etc. In all dis the scar is still paining me and my doc keeps saying it is stress that is making it pain me and my hubby keeps calling me lazy, All he does when he is around is sleep, watch tv and hang out with friends. I am really loose my mind. I don't know what to do. |

ifyalways: Please mommas what could be the cause of an ebf baby farting all through the night. Real ogbonge, smelly farts
My grand daughter was foisted upon me for an all night omugwo stay(we usually do 7am to 7pm), and I nearly ran away o. She was just exploding atomic and nuclear bombs even while asleep. She did poo once, normal and nothing out of place but I'm worried about the farts. I'm waiting for her mom to come pick her so I'll confirm if this is a one off thing. She's 3M mamma I think it is very normal. My 2months old son does the same and my hubby gave him the MASTER BLASTER cos I had a CS my sister and mum that received him from doc when he was born said he was just blasting anyhow. doc said it is colic and it is helping them ease the wind in their tummy. Between now and six months they will outgrow it. |

So I noticed that after treating malaria, LOs appetite is still not back to normal, plus the rashes came back so I took him to our original hospital (The day the fever started, it was almost 11pm and Hubs wasn't at home so I took him to hospital 2 - one place in the area that Hubs hates for no reason)
They asked a couple of questions and retested for malaria, guess what? Still one plus, same as when we started treating
I don't know if it's fake drugs they gave me, or it's stubborn malaria, they sha gave us chloroquine to treat this one. I have to give him a whole 7.5ml everyday and that shxt is bitter (I tasted it)
Hubs is convinced it's fake drugs and has put his foot down, I must not take his son there again (I kuku don't like that place, blah blah blah )
Mumsi is convinced all of this is teething (I tend to agree cos his finger is always in his mouth now and he seems to be biting down not sucking it) but malaria dey ff teething?
Me I just want my LO to eat properly! He's laughing and playing as usual but I see him struggling with 150mls and it breaks my heart
Anyway I'm at work now and he's with Mumsi. I'll soon close and cuddle my baby
PS: I tried to microwave bread this morning (it was in the fridge) and the thing started burning, the whole office was smelling and safety came. MzMyColi na your head catch me?
PPS: Maybe I should open diary, my story is too much for this place
PPPS: I need advise on this malaria meds thing. They gave us coartem dispersible in the first hospital, now chloroquine...shey no issue? cc mamas that know wassup and are online I have heard doctor say to their patients several times that every normal human being especially Nigerians have one plus malaria. But my problem with private clinic is that they must give you drugs for everything I mean everything. I will go with your mumsies idea of teething. I will advise u don't treat malaria again after the chloroquine and examine his gum carefully. As for the appetite only him go waka come. Or u take some from my son>: |

Sabi mama's. I noticed that most of us are complaining about diapers causing rash on our baby's butt and all that, have we ever considered the wipes we are using could be responsible for the rash and not the diapers. Cos it happened to me with my first child only to find out it was the wipes and not the US huggies I was using so I made my own wipe solution cos it was the alcohol and perfume she was actually reacting to so I made mine without these Ingredients and everything became fine Ingredients for wipes: 1tbspoon coconut or olive oil plus I tbspoon of liquid baby soap add to 100ml of water and sprinkle on wipe cloth or double the ingredients and pour Into kichen serviette for disposable wipes. But as for me I use the washable one to save cost. |

fruitfulhome: Good day ooo
This is one month six days since my lo arrival. I must confess I have not slept. I'm the kind of person that can't just automatically go back to sleep wen I'm woken up from it. As it is now, my head is banging and as if my eye balls will come out of the sockets. Nobody told me this part ooo. At the early point, we were eating like every 30 minutes. Later to one hour. Presently, I can't keep time again. It's like its within same time interval both day and night. He is on exclusive. I have been thinking to introduce formula, same time feeling guilty for considering that option. Pleas make una suggest best way for me oo. Secondly, pregnancy or arrival of my lo has not increased my food appetite. I still eat small small portion 3 times daily. Few times have I had in between meals. Please what food should i take to increase my breast milk. A friend said maybe baby is not feeding well. I don't know oo. But the milk flows and on few occasion drops a bit on its own. Please all advise and suggestions are welcome sweetie introducing formula now will be more stressful for u. Cos u have to prepare the formula and check temperature b4 feeding, wash and sterilize feeder everyday, and any time he poops u have to be worried about his poop why is it too strong/too soft too often too scare. The only advantage formula feeding mum have is that you can leave the baby for some else to babysit. If u are not returning to work soon I appeal to you to continue doing the baby friendly thing cos it will help u get back in shape and also save u some Money it is also less stressful as u don't have to sterilize ur breast and worry about stoolling. I am speaking from experience. God bless you as u journey through this phase |
