Good morning mamas abeg we have appetite for sale. If u need just call me. I can even give it out for free. My ds almost 9months can eat anything eatable. Yesterday I got to creche to breast feed him and found out that he had eaten someone's biscuits and was still looking for more I had to buy another one b4 leaving so I had to pack biscuits for him today. .. . He is so full of energy I have to be chasing him around the house He now knows how to climb stairs and begins to shout when he gets to the landing. In all thes he is bringing out 4teeth at the same time no fever no rise in temperature. And eaten enmmm |

J0hnTrevolt: Hello great mamas. This forum has really assisted me a lot in my times of need. I hardly comment here cos its mostly women affairs stuff. Lol. Know it that we truly appreciate u mothers of our little ones.
Back to my issue. After the birth of my baby a year now, my wife keep complaining that one of her breast is far bigger than the other and this is quite true. She's really worried. I'v told her to calm down that it cud be as a result of breastfeeding tho I dnt know. Plz mamas, is this normal? Will this normalize? She blames d baby so much for this. This our first baby. Tnx as I await ur response. I hope this is not coming late. It happened to me too. The left is bigger than the right. I noticed it happens mostly to right handed people cos its more convenient breast feeding from the left breast. Since I noticed it I have started putting baby to the right breast and its beginning to measure up with the left one. If she has stopped breast feeding when another baby arrives she should make the smaller breast the favourite |

pheesayor: I was thinking about my daughter and then I remembered she clocked ine and I didn't announce it here, apologies. My baby Ebunoluwa that had jaundice at birth and I got advices here was a year old on 16th September (about 18 days ago), how time flies The past one year has been a very interesting one, few weeks to her birthday she started having temperature we used teething solutions back and forth no show. We suspected malaria so we gave her anti malaria which she took but serious cough and cold won't let her be so we saw a nurse who prescribed antibiotics and ibuprofen, after this her health improved tremendously and we had a sickness-free birthday.
I said here months ago she refused baby food, till this day the only milk she takes is breast milk, anything that looks like liquid she won't take, only water and juice. Last night I tried tea before deciding to buy her own milk, she refused. Last week I tried hollandia yoghurt she refused and you dare not force anything down her throat (not even drugs), she will spill it out or coughs till she vomits it. I don't know who else has experienced this with babies.
She gradually stopped crawling towards her first birthday and now walks but staggers a lot. She likes noodles a lot but is getting to like bread as well, I don't know if this is okay for her system at her age, she eats every other thing she sees me eating.
Kudos to all the mothers here doing great jobs, I'm the father but I feel the heat a lot as well
Ebunoluwa says hi to you all, especially helovesme happy birthday Cherie bunch. May God bless and keep u. Grow and shine. |

stress causes pain at the incision spot. It is advised not to lift anything heavier than your baby for at least the first few weeks. And also the way you stand up from your bed can contribute to the pain. Make sure you turn to your side b4 u stand up from your bed. . make sure you are not putting belt head or a tight waist band on the incision point cos I almost fainted some few days back for doing that. . if u are not guilty of any or all these and you are still feeling pains consult your doctor. |

ceejayceey: Please how did you achieve expressing that volume of breast milk everyday. I wish to continue EBF for my LO after i resume work. Please what can i take or eat to boost my breast milk production I can't tell of a particular food that makes milk flow but I just follow this routine. B4 I started work I used to take pap and anything made of beans for breakfast and take any other food for dinner and lunch. Then a hot tea b4 going to bed. But since I resumed work I wake up at 4:30am and drink a hot tea or water. B4 I start making breakfast the after cooking I bathe the kids and take a hot or warm bath. And put baby to one breast.(putting the head position higher) then I extract from the other one(the more baby sucks the faster the other breast flows) in that case the body is conditioned to feel it's feeding two babies it therefore produces milk for two. Most times I pump 150ml in the night and The other in the morning but when our light is bad I just repeat the extracting process twice and I still get all 300ml complete. Meanwhile I still take my pre- natal drugs (folic acid, fesolate, B-complex, calcium and vit c) on daily basis. I pray this works for u. |

Praise the lord somebody. Testimony time. After so many unsuccessful attempts of making my lo suck breast milk from feeder on the day I resumed work I dropped him at the creche leaving 200ml of breast milk at the creche with ice cubes at 7:10am. And went back to breast feed him during my break period at 10:40 my lo has exusted all 200ml and he is still asking for more. Just 2wks in creche my loo cries for milk at the sight of feeder so all the plenty kinds of feeders I bought are now useful cos he sucks from all the 3kinds of feeders I drop at the creche. Ny biggest surprise is dat he now take 300ml plus me going to breast feed him. And he is still not satisfied. I am surprised cos he used to be a 5mins sucker. |

Good morning sabi mamas. I just resumed two weeks ago and I have been on peeping mode since then. The school runs madness nor be here sha plus say hubby accidented my car and Na keke things since. My ds started creche since Monday last week and has been pooping immediately after each feed since then. . I usually extract milk into two different feeding bottles for him. I usually drop him at 7:15am after breastfeeding him and he takes one of the feeder of milk of 100ml afterwards and I go back to breast feed him at 10:50-11:15 and pick him up at 12:10 but he keeps popping after each feed whether from feeder or directly from breast. And most times its greenish other times yellowish . I don't allow them wash his feeder. But the creche lady made me understand that at first when I told them to put the bm in hot water before feeding him they went to add water to the bm to make it warm I am sure that was where it started from. He will be 5months on Thursday me I am getting tired of the whole thing. . I usually carry ice cubes for his milk so I don't think its soar. . I use Avent heat sterilizer for his feeder. Yesterday b4 1pm he was already on The 4th diapers. I don't know what to do. They said its teething though he drools more than usual and even spit like a pregnant woman and bits my breast like pkomo. No temperature and he is still one happy and smiling boy. The question is, is it normal. . tips for pumping breast milk fast that has worked for me. I wake up and take either pap or hot tea. Though since I started work it is tea I have been taking cos no time to make and drink pap. . I take a hot or warm bath afterwards and make ds suck from one breast while I extract from the other. How possible. I lie him down on my leg elevate his head with my leg while I us hand to extract from the other breast . the body sends signal to the brain to make it release milk as if you are breast feeding twins. I am able to get 180ml in 15mins b4 leaving home in the morning. . Pls I need suggestions on what to do with my lo. The poop thing is very disturbing. . |

Giddyperson: I don't think it's safe jor. Doesn't it contain colour and all what nought. Which reminds me, I just saw pap in the mall, powdered pap packaged like custard, who has ever tried it, how is it? I have tried it. It is the normal pap that was dried with sunlight or whatever. It doesn't have preservative. I said so cos I made pap and dried it for days and it turned exactly like the one I bought for Shoprite. But don't give it to your lo if u didn't make it yourself. But adults can drink the store bought type. |

Giddyperson: Your first or second options seem like the best. Take him along to work. That's what I'm going to be doing with my baby. I can still almost exclusive breastfeed her but I kept thinking what if there comes a day I've to leave the office for work then I get caught up in traffic and I can't get back soon enough to breastfeed. I had to find something else she likes and would be willing to take any time without throwing a fit. Didn't plan to give her pap but she rejected both breastmilk in a bottle and formula. she loves pap a lot and a mum's gotta do what a mum's gotta do . I give her with a spoon or a sippy cup, she loves both, hates bottle.
If he's rejected this your method for this long then maybe its time to try other stuff. Consider introducing cereal/solids at 5 months.
Also stop feeding him when he's hungry. Breastfeed him a little then bottle feed. Feeding when hungry never worked for my baby. She would rather flip out and fall asleep with her hunger than eat anything that wasn't from breast. I started by feeding her the pap when she's happy and playful and now she's graduated to taking it when she's hungry. I give her 30ml of pap every other day to keep the taste familiar in case there ever comes a day I'm not available cuz of work. The day might never come tho but I can't take the chance.
If you are sure you would always be available to breastfeed on demand then why are u worrying your head biko. Take her to work with you until you can gradually introduce pap, cereal or solids then you can consider daycare. You still have time, don't get desperate yet get creative lol.
And about your sickness, might just be the thought that you are starting work with a baby that still won't eat that's making u feel depressed. Sometimes sadness manifests in physical symptoms. But if you think it's not, give it like 2 more days then go back to the hospital and complain again. Ndo kpakam you don hit the head for the nail. . Whether Na head for nail or nail for head so far their is a nail and their is an head. Lol. My sister you have shrid thanks a lot. |

What do you do? Or has to travel? You can still pop into the daycare to feed LO while still trying the bottle
MizMyColi God's hand is upon your LO, she'll be fine thanks ma'am. |

Mamas in the house, I great Una. I am in a state of serious confusion. I need help like urgently. Its just 7days I have left for me is resume work and my ds will not suck feeder. I have been trying him with the feeder for over a month now still he has refused to suck. I have tried all kinds of feeder, avent, li-link, boot, camera, and I even bought the one with spoon the young man bluntly refused to take anyone. Today was even worse. Usually I. Have a principle of not breastfeeding during mass or church activity my son is already getting used to it so he doesn't cry in church. So I extracted milk in his feader cos I know I was going to my mums after church so after mass as usual he didn't cry, cos my parish is close to Shoprite I decided to do some shopping before going to my mums. I spent over 2 hrs at the mall just to see if he will suck the feeder if he is hungry just on my way out he started crying I made the milk lookwarm and gave him trying both nipple mouth and spoon mouth he bluntly refused and cried himself to sleep so I kept the food until I arrived at my mums at about 2pm and fed him again he still refused. My mum felt sorry for him and said I should breast feed him and I did just that and he started sucking trowing legs and dragging hair and giving me the you think u are smart look. Now the question is what should I Do cos he doesn't even take it from cup with spoon. But he likes to leak soup and he is just 4months and one week old.
ABOUT WHERE TO KEEP HIM. I have been trying to make arrangements with the girl that lived with my MIL to come over and stay she will be following me to work and stay at a colleagues house in The staff quarters so that I can be going to breast feed him on demand.until he is 6months old when I will start solid. But the arrangement is still not concrete.
Alternatively a lady at the staff quarters said we can bring the kids to her house and pay her a token. She has two kids the last one just started pre school this new. Session it sounds good to me but hubby said she is a stranger.
There is a daycare opposite my work place that is ok and affordable but I am scared of daycare Pls I don't know what to do as time is running out.
Secondly I was diagnosed with 1plus maleria and protein in urine when they gave me coatem and amoixil which I just finished talking but if I lift any object heavier than my baby all my joint starts paining me and I am always catching cold. I can't even use bare feet to walk around my house
I stopped taking my calcium, vit c, fesolate folic acid and vit Bcomplex for 3days and I started haven't pelvic joint pain like I usually have during pregnancy. I thought of going to the hospital tomorrow but it had subsided since I started talking it again.
now the thought of going back to work is making me sick.
I need all the advice I can get. |
