I quite agree. The problem of Aba on Nairaland is that the parts of the city that we see pictures of is like only 2-3% of the city. And to make it worse, its the busiest and dirtiest parts of the city..

I remember when in the past, when the only pictures of Onitsha that we used to see was the dirty and crowded head bridge and upper Iweka areas.

What Aba needs is a good image more than anything else. We need people to take good quality pictures of the developing parts of the city. This will encourage more investors to come and invest.

I will get to Abia later, there has been no business activity that has taken me there since this year. I was once working in Aba, Umuahia and Mbaise in Imo at once in 2016. One day I will go to Aba on a one day holiday on a weekend when I have the time.

I think this should be part of the Ochiudo city in Abakalili.......

Ochudo city was a new city project that was started by the previous Ebonyi state governor, Martin Elechi. The end goal was to modernize Abakalili by building a new city within it with planned housing estates, industrial zones, mall, markets, government house and secretariat. But I don't know if this current administration is continuing with the project or just doing his own thing.

I think Umahi has retained the plan, while adding his own ideas of what he thinks an ideal city should look like.

Please, what's this structure they are building in Abakaliki?

. You are absolutely correct. The underpass you showed at end of Chime Avenue and Tunnel are vital traffic buffers. Sure,most of the flyovers are along Enugu-PH expressway and Enugu-Onitsha expressway too. I maintain the layout of the city may not accomodate flyovers.The pictures below are the new flyovers in Lagos and the aesthetics on them to increase the city's ambience. I guess that explains the clamour for flyovers within the city by some people here. But then,the dynamics of Lagos and Enugu are worlds apart. They are too different to tow same aesthetic paths.

Exactly, most people will pass through Enugu and still not see anything in Enugu Why?
A person coming from Makurdi to Aba or PH will have to circle the nucleus of Enugu city and zoom past without seeing Independence layout, New layout, Obiagu, Abakpa, Coal camp, GRA, Uwani, Achara layout, New haven, Idaw river or Awkunanaw areas of Enugu.

What Enugu has are bridges, not flyovers.

Whatever, traffic moves easily here because of the underpasses.

What Enugu needs the most is a ring road to connect different parts of the city.

Enugu's saving grace is the 2 major highways running in the outskirts of the main city. This helps to divert all outward bound traffic out of the city centre. Enugu has about 7 flyovers and a tunnel to keep its local traffic separate from those moving around the state on the highway.

What boggles my mind is the fact the Ebonyi state has one of the lowest allocation in the nation. Yet they are doing all these solid infrastructures. I am suspecting that they might have cheaper cost of labor in their projects which helps them extend their budget.

I think Ebonyi state is the second to the last in terms of allocations in Nigeria. And there's virtually no internally generated revenue apart from collection from quarries in Ebonyi. Every governor should go and learn work from Dave Umahi.

Enugu has about 10 flyovers.

Having three street should be a waste of money. Just two is okay to serve motorists.

Umahi focused more on his home town Uburu and Abakaliki while other part of the state rot. Visit Ivo or even Afikpo and you will understand my position. No major projects going in other LGA, apart from the state capital and his home town. You are free to prove me wrong.

He is doing many roads in Afikpo, I had already posted it on the last few pages. Besides, how much is Ebonyi allocation for us to expect him to work in every town in Ebonyi state? I have shown or seen projects here from;

Amasiri
Ugwulangwu
Isu
Okposi
Onicha Igboeze
Afikpo
Nkalagu
Ishiagu

And these are places I passed, not that I was guided. I saw about 3 different concrete roads done in Ishiagu too, and Ishiagu is in Ivo. We should appreciate the man biko.
