"Be wary of those who come out in public to expose their security plans, for they might be spies planted in thy midst to monitor you" - Sun Tsu. |
What's the current news about Nigercem Nkalagu?
|
Let's drive ........Heading for the borders. .......

chiedozie198100:He chose to be in the senate, he could have been governor if not for the rotation policy of the party which meant that only someone from Nsukka zone can be governor in Enugu for 2015-2023. |
It surprised everyone, we knew the masses who are closely watching the unfolding political developments in the country were waiting to show their solidarity to Ike Ekweremadu, but none of us knew that this number of people will arrive to welcome him to Enugu. From the airport, through the whole streets till his house in Enugu, it was a herculean task to control the surging crowd of people. The deputy senate leader later addressed the crowd in front of his house, and they gave him their assurance of continued support. If it's like this in Enugu central where he does not represent, (This is Gil Nnaji constituency) how will the crowd be when he travels to Awgu and Aninri later? We beg the road safety officials to be at alert to control the traffic.

nextexcel:Thank you my brother, what I always say about democracy is that, "While the majority should have their way, the minority should have their say" I have every right as well as any other person to demand that my town/local government be remembered. I also have every right to align with anyone who can help further the cause of my area, that is politics. I get happy when I see progress in form of ongoing projects in Enugu state. I travelled to Nsukka to bring us pictures of the ongoing road by the governor Ugwuanyi. I also showed us roads by Ugwuanyi at Ogbaku, Awgu and Ugwuoba in Oji river. I see it as good progress. But every part of Enugu state should be remembered. Small allocation is not an excuse why we can feed only some of our children and starve the rest, because there is not enough food to go round. |
Nightshift:True facts, It was the NPN and Shagari that started UNTH hospital at Ituku/Ozalla. Chimaroke was in CIC Enugu, shouting "semper fidelis" back then ![]() |
igwebuike01:Unfortunately, this is the same line of argument the northerners have been using as justification for marginalizng the South east. To them, Nigeria is divided into two, North and south. They don't care that there are Yorubas, Ijaws, Edos, and Igbos in the south. Is this right, is this what you want for our Enugu state? Should we cry Federal government neglect if we support same thing in our own state? |
igwebuike01:Enugu is not mainly divided into Enugu and Nsukka, Enugu state is divided into many local governments of which some notable groups are distinct. Enugu capital Nike area Udi area Ezeagu area Nkanu area Nsukka area Oji River area Awgu area Enugu capital is a center made up of many parts of the different groups, and no group can claim it. Enugu south is made up of mainly Nkanu west parts, Enugu North is mainly Ngwo/Udi parts, Enugu east is made up of Nike parts. The Ezeagu, Oji River, Nsukka, Awgu and Nkanu east areas are so far away from Enugu that claiming any kind of grounds there is not feasible. But we understand that we all own the center, Enugu. Land ownership is spread almost equally as all parts of Enugu are fully represented in land ownership and distribution. Nobody should use Enugu capital development to excuse the neglect of the inner towns, because they are very different. For example, people living in Nsukka can get to the government house much faster than somebody coming from either Okpanku (Aninri) or Inyi Achi (Oji River). But this does not mean Nsukka or Oji river is more important than the other. |
Customer80:That is why he is the Ikeoha of the whole Igbo land. He has been instrumental to a lot of roads everywhere. |
Customer80:Of course, Nenwe has been neglected, but Even Jim Nwobodo did a road into Nenwe. That is a good thing. Jim Nwobodo didn't do a road to Nomeh. Nobody has ever done. No projects at all there. There was a road project flagged off at far away Amagunze by Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi last year. But it seems abandoned now. Nomeh has always been patient since 60 years ago. We name all our children "Patience" in this town, maybe the next 7th governor of Enugu will remember there is a town named Nomeh Unateze in 50 years time. As for now, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi cannot claim to know exactly where Nomeh is in the map of Enugu state ![]() |
igwebuike01:Did Nigeria nation start existing a few years ago? while you are free to ask for your share of government projects, stop shouting that your Federal funds is being used for a section of the country. Was federal fund not used by Jonathan for international aiport in Enugu and Obasanjo for Owerri Onitsha express both of which are within your region, or are there not many regions in Nigeria right now that are worse off than South East ![]() WHAT I JUST DID WAS TO SUBSTITUTE SOME OF THE TOWNS AND NAMES YOU USED ABOVE. NOW, DOES THIS NARRATION SOUND FAMILIAR TO YOU? ![]() WHY SHOULD WE BE APPLYING SELECTIVE JUSTICE WHEN IT SUITS US? |
Tyche:Sorry, but you are wrong. There is no senator in this federation both past and present that have attracted more development to his people than Ikeoha of Enugu state. I can count at least 20 road projects, uncountable bridges and culverts, buildings and even people empowerment all delivered and existing on the ground. Ask questions bro. |
Tyche:Nenwe and Oduma are all under Aninri and Awgu local government, same local government of Ike Ekweremmadu. |
Digitron:No my brother, we were never asking for a university of Nigeria, and we didn't ask for fancy roundabouts and flyovers with some housing estates and heavy state government presence. What Nomeh people asked for was a road so we can travel home in all the months of the year. My townsman died in May last year, and because we know the roads will be impassable, the family had to wait till December when the roads have dried up before they can bury the man! Is that good enough? We only asked for access roads so my people can come to Enugu easily to sell their farm products. I also noticed you mentioned Nsukka in bold and Nomeh to draw more people into a baseless argument, are you not trying to cause some mischief this holy morning? I did not mention Nsukka in my own post you quoted. |
seunadeolu:Propaganda? Even when you are seeing contract ready to start? About Ike Ekweremmadu and the governorship, he would have collected the governorship with ease from Gburugburu if he wanted in 2015. Gburugburu is there now because we all agreed on rotation, not because he is the best or the most popular. If Ike Ekweremmadu wants the governorship anytime in the future, he has supporters from so many parts of the state that he will win hands down. |
Customer80:Using same line of thinking, Doesn't somebody represent Enugu north also in the senate? What is he doing, or are you saying we should use state allocated funds meant for all of us to build some selected rural roads because funds are scarce, then hope and wish the senators and representatives do Nkanu east roads? So, because Nkanu was governor and deputy in the last 16 years we should wallow in underdevelopment? Maybe I should go and blame Chimaroke and Chime for abandoning Nkanu east? I will also be made to go back and blame even Jim Nwobodo too, and possibly Ken Nnamani while my own state funds is being used right now to develop a section of the state. Okay o. |
Customer80:The road starts fro Uhueze Nenwe, right from Enugu- Port Harcourt express through Uhueze to Nomeh, Oduma and so on. |
Digitron:Just what was typed there. There is clear neglect going on in some communities in Enugu state, and I think its bad enough. How can we be proud to be identified as citizens of Enugu state when the governor, deputy, senator representing us don't even know where the town is? No road, no water, no government presence from the state governor and previous governments. The people of these towns will never forget Ike Ekweremmadu. He has our support in case he wants us to stand behind him any day. |
igwebuike01:Yes, some of the communities down there are so intertwined that it will be difficult connecting some aninri towns without passing through other localities. Besides, Nenwe and Oduma needs to use an alternative road into Nkanu, instead of going round to enter through 4 corners, they can pass through Nomeh or Mburubu to get into Nara, Nkerefi, Agbani, Akpugo or Ugbawka. |
They are here, the yellow company vehicles of Arab contractors.........

The vehicles and paraphernalia of Arab Contractors are already on site........

wawappl:This road is so close to home to Ike Ekweremmadu, he promised this road a long time ago. A man of the people. |
Ikeoha is so much loved, he was mobbed by all, hugging, touching, singing and dancing............. ![]()

The arrival of Ike Ekweremmadu
|
Today, the deputy president of the senate, Ike Ekweremmadu flags off the construction of a brand new road to link the communities under his senatorial district and other parts of Enugu state. The contract, which has been started by Arab Contractors, will see the new road stretching from Nnenwe to Nomeh Unateze, Oduma, Mburubu and Nara Unateze. It will be recalled that some parts of Enugu state has been experiencing serious neglect as the present government seems to be avoiding starting up projects in such localities. More pictures at out next post. http://amazingviewpoints..com.ng/
