Hi guys! Congrats!!

Yes it is an interview! but we prefer to call it a chat cos it is not meant to put you under any form of pressure. It is a 1 on 1 encounter just to get to know the real you!Expect questions like what does the acronymn PACE stand for? etc. Just get your acts together and dress clean! no need to be over bearing or over confident. ANd if you are successful, this will be the beginning of a 3 months intensive training! I must warn you not to think that you have been employed once you are asked to resume training for the MDP. (Management Development program). Reason is: alot of people tend to beleive they are already in at this point & therefore loose focus during training. Prepare for serious academic drilling as you would be made to go through a series of test & examinations. I think the over all pass mark is 70% or thereabout. there is really no need to worry dear! it is well.

Just go out there & shine! Welcome to My bank & I!

GOD HELP US!!!! 2 STEPS FORWARD AND 4 STEPS BACKWARD!!!! NIGERIA WE HAIL THEE!!!
People keep saying each time the "super eagles" fumble that we should go back to the drawing board and get our acts together! as it appears, I think there is really no drawing board to go back to!

Truth is: Evil flourishes when Good men fail to act!
Bottomline: where are our professionals (ex-footballers)why are they not the ones running our football house
Education / Re: ASUU To Strike Again? by clareomiz(f): 1:16pm On Feb 05, 2008
But wait 1st o!
these 49 lecturers issues still dey ground?? I am of the opinion ASUU is not being sincere here!why is it that each time they have a score to settle, they bring this matter to the fore? Besides, who says these lecturers cannot seek employment else where?? or even in private universities?? I even hear that Government offered to accept them back but on the ground that they will be redeployed to other universities in the country, 4 where??ASUU no gree oh!

These Unions generally are becoming a problem to us in Nigeria rather than a blessing as it is supposed to be! I think the Obasanjo approach is what Yaradua should adopt. SNOB THEM!!! at least it worked for baba!
Dating And Meet-up Zone / Can I Huk Up Some Nairalanders With My Male Cousin? by clareomiz(f): 5:11pm On Jan 18, 2008
Hi Peeps!
My Male cousin just relocated from Ghana and he is interested in making new friends in Nigeria especially with the opposite sex. He's cool, tall and just got a good job in Nigeria. Unfortunately, I cant hook him up with mine cos they are way past his age and also most of them are looking for lifetime partners and not huk up friends. so if interested young ladies hit with ur phone numbers at clareomiz@yahoo.com. I really feel for him though, cos when he isnt at work, he bored stiff.

Cheers!

Health / Influx Of Energy Drinks In Nigeria And It's Effects by clareomiz(f): 1:36am On Dec 21, 2007
Can someone please give details on the adverse effect of taking energy drinks? I mean the likes of powerhorse, red bull, white tolotolo, green guinea pig and all sorts of other names. A friend told me recently that many of these drinks are heavily taxed abroad (like tobacco) and sometimes even banned because of their high caffeine levels. Can anyone give details please?

Fashion/Clothing Market / I Am In Need Of Very Good Branded Naija T- Shirts! by clareomiz(f): 1:30pm On Nov 23, 2007
Hi all,
I was just wondering where I could get "GOOD" made in Naija T- shirts? I am a sucker for such, but the problem is that you hardly ever get good enough ones! alot of the ones our local designers make here are wack! Unlike the branded naija T- shirts made in Yankee! I know of some very good ones here like DNC and DIDI, but how do I purchase them here in Lagus? i really need to know. I am also aware that Sound Sultan makes some nice ones too (naija ninja).

Can some one please link me up with a shop where I can get these T-shirts this chrismas?

Thanks!

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Bank Wants Sound Ond Holders. by clareomiz(f): 3:26pm On Nov 02, 2007
Hi all,
Just discovered that alot of you have Bsc degrees in addition to the OND.Our HR personnel has turned down some CVs that potray the applicant as having a BSc. Please, my advise is that you craft a separate CV for the OND and then another for the BSc. We'll see what we can do to ensure we shortlist as many people as possible for the test.
Good luck!

God bless!

Hi all,
My Bank (FCMB) is currently having it's public offer! Here's my simple plan, for every person you bring in that buys at least #300,000 worth of shares, you get 1% commission. The higher the amount purchased, the higher the percentage and commission. Hit me at clareomiz@yahoo.com.

Remember that we can negotiate large volume transactions and you can get as high as 7% depending of the amount involved.

cheers!
Travel / Rotary President Denied A Nigerian Visa! by clareomiz(f): 5:39pm On Oct 02, 2007
Hi People,
Just got this information from a reliable source that the Nigerian High Commission in Canada has refused the President of Rotary International a visiting visa to Nigeria. Reason: Nigeria is not happy with the way Nigerians are treated by the Visa Section of the Canadian High commission in Nigeria. This has resulted in the cancellation of the president's scheduled visit to Nigeria this October. Grapevine information has it that this reason was boldly communicated to Rotary executives and the Canadian High commission in Nigeria.

What's your opinion on this? For me, I sincerely think this is a right step in the right direction. Myself being a victim of the highhandedness of the "too know" Visa officers at #4, Anifowoshe Street.
Politics / Re: The True Picture Of Nigeria by clareomiz(f): 8:46am On Aug 22, 2007
Whoever posted this topic!!!!see, let me tell you, if you are not satisfied with being a Nigerian and with the pace at which things are going, then take a dive into the nearest lagoon. C'mon, where were you all when nothing was working in this country? I mean absolutely nothing!!! And now, here we are trying to put in our best to "wake up this sleeping giant" that has almost entered a state of coma and you all are shouting from the roof tops with these yeye "oyinbos" that have put us where u currently are. I mean, i just don't get it. If only we have had democracy in place since 1960 when they "claimed to have let us be on our own" then some black brodas would have no reason to sit back tight like arm chair critics and criticize our little efforts. NIGERIA IS OURS TO BUILD! WE'VE GOT NO OTHER COUNTRY THAN 9JA! YOU EITHER BE PART OF THIS NATION BUILDING NOW & BE PROUD OF WHERE U FROM OR JUST SHUT UP AND BE A COWARD WITH YOUR NEW FOUND CITIZENSHIP!!

Spisssssssssssssshhhhhh!!!! hisses and walks out of the room slamming the door,
Certification And Training Adverts / Re: CISA Exam Materials by clareomiz(f): 1:52pm On Aug 17, 2007
Hi all,
Could y'all please give some kind advise. I've been working for less than a year as an auditor and I would luv to take my career to the next level with a CISA certification as soon as possible, but I've been told that I have to put in a certain number of years (I think 5yrs) @ my work desk before I can even get to sit for the exams. Besides, I'll like to have an idea of what their exams are like and possible coaching centres in Lagos.
thanks!
Career / Re: Entry Level Package For Banks You Know? by clareomiz(f): 4:34pm On Jul 13, 2007
Hi Every one,
I'm abit amazed how much young grads are concerned about pay.wat difference does it really make now if I earn 140k a month or 170k.Me tink that career progression should be more inportant than pay. I quite agree with "babalawo" although he didnt tell us which bank he works for.

So take my advise like a broda putting ya all on the rite track."I DON TEY 4 DIS GAME NO BE 2DAY!!!" Anyways, I still tink ETB is d highest for starters and a couple of others. FCMB currently does about 150k.and dats the trut of d mata!!!
