Tranquillity360: The reasonable thing to do is call on the army to go after the culprits and leave innocent people.
But people, most people from West are calling the army to level the whole communities.
Your Nigeria is the only country where soldiers kill it innocent civilians just because criminals in that location attacked them.
Can US kill and burn down homes of it citizens because of some bad elements in a particular location.
You Nigerians mentality that soldiers are right to kill innocent people and burn down communities when attacked is very bad. Why are you labelling people from the west as the ones calling for genocide. The OP is not making sense, people were just talking based on past occurrence. Do you think anyone can influence the decision of the Nigeria Army? Let's stop all these blame game please If your kinsmen are involved in this barbaric act, you better submit their names for thorough investigation. |

Politics › FG Backs New Satellite Pay TV (SLTV) To Give Nigerians Value For Money by clearcrystal(op): 10:11pm On Mar 07, 2024 |
The Federal Government has unveiled a new satellite pay television which it affirmed would serve as an alternative to existing ones and satisfy the yearning of Nigerians by giving them value for their money.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, made the declaration at the official launch of an indigenous Nigerian satellite television, Silver Lake Television (SLTV) at the Shehu Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.
Akume noted that the establishment of the outfit is in line with the desire of Nigerians to “reap from the bountiful harvest awaiting investors in the Nigerian economy.”
He commended the management of Metrodigital Limited, the owners of the firm, for what he said was their patriotic step in setting up the satellite television.
“It is becoming very clear that we are on the right path to our collective recovery and prosperity. This is our country; the only one we can truly call our own and we must fix it by ourselves,” Akume said.
The SGF added: “In recent times, Nigerians have been yearning for alternatives to Satellite Pay TV that can serve as an alternative to the existing ones. SLTV has responded very loud and clear and from the information made available to me, they are willing to give their fellow compatriots real value for their money in terms of service quality and affordability. https://leadership.ng/federal-govt-backs-new-satellite-pay-tv-to-give-nigerians-value-for-money/

Technology Market › Re: Best Inverter In The Market by clearcrystal: 4:34am On Mar 01, 2024 |
McLizbae: Instead of running the life and neutral line from the inverter to the distribution box, some installers/electrician will connect the neutral from the inverter to the nearest neutral line in the house wiring. They basically do this to save wire. You electrician may understand better.
Baseline is, make sure both N and L from ur inverter run to the distribution box as a completely separate supply. However, If you are running a completely separate wiring for the inverter, you don't need to worry about my advice here cos you will have to run the N and L all through else there won't be light😊 You are confusing him the more. Wire your inverter output directly ( L&N) to a changeover. |

Godfullsam: If the issue fx scarcity must end, the president has to be ready to step on toes.
Most bank officials, government officials, law makers, governors and the president himself are hoarding dollars in their various homes.
No body has the right to own dollars at all, it is not our legal tender. Government should go after these dollar slaves, ransack their homes and jail anyone found with any foreign currency.
The government should end the activities of bureau de change with immediate effect and convert every dollar accounts in various banks to naira equivalents. Government impose 300% tax on importation of luxury goods also.
Government should take the fight against corruption and economic saboteur serious .
Trials, prosecution and possible execution of these criminals should be done on live television for all to see and learn. Government should include subjects that has to do with patriotism into school curriculum.
Our current leaders are a product of the society. 👌 |

Politics › Chinese Gold Miners Fuel Insecurity In Nigeria by clearcrystal(op): 7:30am On Feb 14, 2024 |
groups such as Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province who boasted that Chinese workers in their territory must pay “rent.” Chinese mining bosses in Zamfara and Katsina “are perfectly willing to pay off whoever needs to be paid off and have no qualms about it and are allowed to carry out operations,” SBM head of research Ikemesit Effiong told The Times. The Chinese embassy in Nigeria objected to the report but sought to distance itself from the actions of Chinese individuals. “The Chinese government, as well as the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, have always encouraged and urged the Chinese companies and nationals in Nigeria to abide by the laws and regulations of Nigeria, and to implement the local rules and guidance on labor, environment, health and safety, etc., and would continue their efforts in this regard,” it said in a statement on April 17, 2023. China has a massive footprint in Africa’s mining sector, with billions of dollars invested. Chinese nationals are heavily involved in extractive operations across the continent, mining for gold, other precious metals and valuable minerals such as lithium, cobalt and copper. In 2019, China imported nearly $10 billion worth of minerals from sub-Saharan Africa, according to The Economic Times newspaper. Afilaka is among the local leaders who feel that Nigerians are not receiving their fair share. He also questions how many of the Chinese laborers have permits to work in Nigeria, a common refrain in the communities surrounding mining operations. “There is a lot of darkness in my land,” Afilaka said. “If you’re coming in here and you’re extracting billions of naira worth of gold, I think the people should benefit from it.” Ojewale and Onuoha called on the Nigerian government to intensify regulation and protection of its burgeoning mining industry. “In a country contending with diverse forms of criminality, the involvement of foreign criminals in the extractive sector presents a serious security challenge,” they wrote. “These minerals are among the country’s most critical national assets and should be guarded through a coordinated security response.” https://adf-magazine.com/2024/02/chinese-gold-miners-fuel-insecurity-in-nigeria/?twclid=26f4ze00v69dxla6nlkz1ye4bj
