santokks, I do not know about that.But what I think is, if one has gone through the recruitment process successfully(medicals being the last) you'll surely be contacted, though it may not be momentary.

My appliction also reads 'accepted' on the sahara career portal but I havent gotten the mail for the next stage..does one's appliction that's been accepted necessarily qualifies one for shortlisting for the next stage, given my case? I suppose some people also share same fate with me.......urgent reply needed please.

Talkn about pay, Really, I believe its not the salary that really matters, but the allowances and other juicy benefits. you could collect a salary of 50k meanwhile ur allowances will be about 200k.

Its my belief dat for one to proceed to d next stage, as d mail states, u need not only score an above average cumulative score, but ur scores in each tests have got to be above average(50 n above) thats why dose dat scored above average cum scores didnt proceed. Anyway, thats their own cup of tea.
