PoliticsIsrael Sends Elite Rescue Unit To Jordan After Flood Kills At Least 14 by Cletus77(op): 9:56pm On Oct 25, 2018
The flash flood claimed the lives of at least 14 children, local authorities said
Israel sent IDF forces and helicopters to assist in the rescue operations as 16 people were missing after a flash near the Dead Sea at the request of Jordan, where around 40 children and their teachers were on an outing on Thursday, the army said in a statement released Thursday.

The flash flood claimed the lives of 14 children, local authorities said. 22 others were injured.

"Upon the Jordanian government's request, a number of IAF helicopters have taken off with soldiers from the 669 elite search and rescue unit led by the unit's commanding officer.," the IDF said in a statement. "The IDF has begun assisting in the rescue of the Jordanian children's bus that was swept away adjacent to the Dead Sea on the Jordanian side as a result of flooding in the southern area earlier today."

"At the same moment, the troops are assisting the actions to locate the missing and are doing all in their power in spite of the adverse weather conditions in order to assist the children in the flooded area," the army said.

Israel sent the elite 669 Search and Rescue Unit to asst in the efforts. Jordanian Prime Minister Omar Razzaz was on the scene overseeing the rescue mission, state news agency Petra reported.

A major rescue operation involving helicopters and army troops was under way. Search teams have so far rescued 11 people, some of whom are in a serious condition, civil defense sources told Reuters.

SIMPLE Analysis....

1.If buhari resigns... the evil broom party with confused members will still be in power..

2 If NIGERIA gets 24hrs power supply, it will help wipe international disgrace by at least 20%. A very welcome development to Nigerians.
3. Even if Tution fee is free in Universities, Naija will always be naija... another means will still be deployed to extort money from students.

1. Uyo

Uyo takes the crown as the most peaceful southern city and unarguably one of the safest in the country. The city's rise to fame was very exceptional and it boasts of zero potholes in the city. It is the capital of the largest oil producing state Akwa ibom. The ibibio city is better carbon copy of it's Efik counterpart, Calabar. It has some attractions like the best stadium in the whole country, Le Meriden Hotels and a lot others. Life in Uyo is very peaceful and it is one of Nigeria's fastest growing cities. Accommodation costs are rising as the city continues to expand. Uyo's population is estimated to be half a million.

2. Calabar.

The Paradise city is rated as one of the safe cities in Nigeria. The city of Calabar has a lot of attractions and can boast of hosting the largest street carnival in Africa. Calabar and Uyo has been competing for the most beautiful city in Nigeria in the last decade and studies has shown that the older city wont be backing down any soon. For a cleaner and safer southern city, I recommend Calabar. It was once the Capital of Nigeria. It is the capital of Cross River state

3. Benin city

Benin city is one of the oldest cities in Nigeria. It is a large urban area which accommodates people from all over the country. It is located in Edo State and has a low crime rate. It is one of the peaceful southern city and one of the most beautiful. It serves as a major gateway to the western part of the country

4. Asaba

Asaba is the capital city of Delta State, one of the richest states in Nigeria. It is one of the fast developing urban centre near the Niger river. It is rated as one of the safest Capitals in the south. Although Warri is the economic nerve centre of the state, the city of Asaba is a bit safer from the southern city. The current and past administration made a lot progress in ensuring pothole free roads in some part of the city. The majority of Asaba is the Anioma people of igbo ancestry.

TravelSafest South Southern Capitals In Nigeria. by Cletus77(op):
Nigeria is divided into six geopolitical zones and comprises of many beautiful cities, some with population which exceeds one million. Most developed cities are located in the south and west of the country, but the North is home to some beautiful cities too which spice the multicultural flavour of the giant of Africa.

I have been to some southern cities and today I will restrict my opinions to the south southern part of Nigeria which accounts for more than 80 percent of the Nigerian economic generations.

Here is my opinion on the safest capital cities in the south south which comprises of six states.

6. Port Harcourt

Port Harcourt Is the most populous and most developed city in the south south. It is the third/fourth most populous city in Nigeria. For years the capital of Rivers State has been tagged as the least safe city in the south. One of the major reasons is due to the high number of youths who are involved in cultism in some areas. However Port Harcourt is a very rich oil producing city and home to some oil companies. The Port Harcourt metro is the fastest growing urban conurbation in the country.

5. Yenegoa.

Yenegoa is the capital of Bayelsa state, another oil producing state in Nigeria. Yenegoa is a neat and developing capital in the south. Increasing militant activities in it's Creek waterways reducing the chance of Yenegoa making it to the top. The population of the city was estimated to be about 270 000 in 2016. It is home to the the fourth/fifth largest ethnic group in Nigeria
