All common sense solutions. Nigeria is blessed with land. Why can’t ranching be a solution? Unfortunately, As soon as they got us to carry their foreign religions on our heads like garri, our race was finished. There will never be a Nigeria where sharia is totally banned and the Muslims won’t take it as a personal affront to their religious freedom. IMAliyu2: Do you trust that the US military under the current admin would/could actually do that? Who would they target, how would they target them? This is not as simple as fighting boko haram. The claims of a Christian genocide involves attackers that are decentralized, and disorganized in a herder-farmer clash fashion.
Because all I suspect they'd do is indiscriminate bombing of Northern communities and cities, rather than identifying terror groups and targeting them.
The Nigerian government could literally end a large portion of insecurity and attacks on rural communities, by just banning open grazing nationaly. And directing law enforcement to cease all cattle, and herders found outside of ranches and farms.
And also a Federal ban on sharia law, as Nigeria is a secular state, the veil of sharia is being used to down play and hide prosecution on non Muslim Northerners on a systematic level. Eg. Bala Mubarak imprisoned for alleged blasphemy for 5 years. The Story of Debora, what happened to her killer, why did people feel they were justified to kill someone over blasphemous speech? |

I hope you are ready for the mass- migration of Northerners and their Sahel brothers and their cows ....once their farmlands are damaged ....they'll have to move down South in their numbers . And once people have enough numbers ,then trouble starts and territorial disputes will escalate. Be careful what you wish for son.
Once Trump and his friends secure whatever they are eyeing over there ,they're gone....Libya.... Iraq....Afghanistan etc. Bingo |

bayelsaowei: But then how do we manage the uncountable number of people who die everyday (christians) in the east from unknown gun men, and many others from the highhandedness of our nigerian leaders.
For Trump to carry out what he thinks, he definitely would need collaboration with the nigerian government, and not just making plans on invasion..
If not innocent folks would be impacted..both Christians and Muslims.. Nigeria’s problem is so uniquely Nigerian that even the simplest solution is going to be complicated in practice. Tinubu so far hasn’t made any concerted efforts to curb the insecurity and neither did Buhari. Do we really think they’ll collaborate sincerely with the US to lead them into the areas with the biggest insecurity problems? We’ve heard of sambisa forest being the main hideout of terrorists up north, yet they won’t put in heavy presence of manpower to deter them. Instead the terrorists are there, taking over whole communities unchecked. But in the east, there is a police or military check point every 100 yards (saw this with my own eyes few months ago). I won’t rule out a collaboration where they try to weaponize the foreign govt into traumatizing the regions they don’t like. |

AmazonTopaz: No American parent will allow their children die for Nigeria. It's all talk but I appreciate this if it makes the incompetent mofos in government sit up.
There's a problem building up in the Sahel region and Nigerian security forces cannot turn away from this. In principle true. But in reality, once you sign up for the military, your parents don’t get a say where you go or not. Recent events have shown they can’t even stand up to the govt when tyranny is afoot. You know like they always claimed is the reason why they love owning guns? Yep they won’t be able to do anything if their sons and daughters get sent off to die in Nigeria for the “glory of America”. I do agree that it’s all talk for now because I don’t see what the USA would stand to gain from it at the moment. But once there’s a clear path for financial gain from such an endeavor, make no mistake, they will find reasons to invade and find ways to justify it. The whole talk of saving the Christians is to soften the mind of the population for a time in the future when they’ll have to justify their invasion. Let’s see if Tinubu sits up then. Maybe he’s aware they’re just as full of shiet as he is. 🥲 |

A few months ago, I said this was going to happen. I asked the people supporting the genocide in a Gaza if they would be happy for same action in their own country under the guise of wiping out terrorists.
Yes we need a solution to the insecurity problem in Nigeria. Do we need a thoughtless mad man coming guns “ablazing” with no idea what they’re doing? Knowing that your family and friends could get caught up in the chaos?

The fact that you guys Just want to sit and armchair analyze stuff that you get to observe from afar while telling the people it’s affecting that they need to hear you out as you support the person who’s harming them will never not amaze me. No, I’m not having an “adult conversations” with you about how my healthcare payments should go up potentially thousands of dollars. Just so you can feel respected. This is not college debate. What are leftist cry babies whining about today? Oh Nothing much. Just that being sick shouldn’t be a reason for Americans citizens to become destitute. But I get it. We need to stop being emotional and get on board with the fact that being sick is a problem that the sufferer caused for themselves and needs to be punished for . They’re literally punishing Americans for getting sick. The Trump administration just sided with credit bureaus over cancer patients. This week, Trump’s Consumer Financial Protection Bureau — now run by far-right operative Russell Vought — announced it will move to block states from wiping medical debt off people’s credit reports. States like California, New York, and Colorado tried to protect people — passing laws so families crushed by hospital bills wouldn’t also lose their credit scores. But Trump’s CFPB says federal law “overrides” those protections.
Translation? If you get sick and can’t afford the bill, that’s your fault now.
And they did this as millions of Americans face skyrocketing ACA premiums, thanks to Republicans blocking Affordable Care Act subsidies. Health insurance costs are spiking. Medical debt is exploding. And Trump’s answer is to side with Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.
The same companies that leak your data — now backed by the White House to profit off your pain.
Nearly 1 in 5 Americans has medical debt on their credit report. Fourteen million owe over $1,000. Not because they were reckless — because they got sick. Because a child broke an arm. Because a cancer diagnosis hit at the wrong time.
And yet Trump’s team calls it “credit reporting integrity.” What’s “integrity” about punishing people for surviving?
As Century Foundation president Julie Margetta Morgan warned, premium spikes will “pour gasoline on the already raging fire of medical debt.” Trump’s CFPB just handed the match to Wall Street.
This isn’t about states’ rights. It’s about power — and who deserves mercy. When government sides with billion-dollar credit firms instead of working families, it’s not leadership. It’s betrayal.
America’s moral test has always been simple: do we stand with the vulnerable or with the powerful? Because no one should lose their credit, their home, or their dignity for the “crime” of getting sick. |

These programs combine paid on-the-job training with classroom instruction, leading to a nationally recognized credential and a career pathway. Not only will that happen, they will label any dissenters as terrorists and use it to justify their cruelty. I really admire the optimism of those who don’t think this will be the outcome. It was the worse case scenario I envisioned in my mind the first time they started getting away with stuff that would have disqualified other candidates/parties before them. The main reason why I blocked Raum and refused to interact with him any further is that in addition to his bare faced lying and hypocrisy, he refused to acknowledge that it would be illegal if Trump pushes for a 3rd term. Instead he slyly tried to argue a technicality in which it would be legal if congress lets him do it. The same congress he had muzzled and they gave him immunity to do anything he wants? That shows you nothing is a deal breaker for them. These are the people, the zombies that will carry arms against their fellow or citizens. If they don’t do it directly, they will support those who do it in defense of Trump’s 3rd term agenda. I do not have faith in their humanity. I know it’s pessimistic but experience this past year has taught me all that I need to know. nateevs: This has been as clear as day. I have said this multiple times.
I even have an outgoing Trump 3rd Term watch with @PDPGuy.
Please accept it now and be prepared. When the time comes, he will simply annul the election, Babangida style, under the guise of fraud. And that's it. Y'all will do nothing.
They've prepped for every scenario this time. Armed boots on the ground to fight any protests, and an army of right-wing zombies who will take up arms in his names, after they've been programmed to hate everybody else.
There will be bloodshed. He won't bat an eyelid. He will just blame the other side in his characteristical fashion, and that will be it. He WILL get that third term, but that will also be the end of the empire |

As sick upstairs as those who support him. Donald Trump's big trip to Japan goes off the rails as he melts down over his collapsing approval numbers and insists that the "REAL polls" prove that the American people love him.
The demented delusions are getting stronger by the day...
"After winning THREE Elections, BY A LOT, I am now getting the best Polling Numbers that I have ever received," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "People see how strong the Economy is, the Trillions of Dollars of Investment pouring into our Country, the Record Setting Strong Border (After years of millions of criminals pouring through it, totally unvetted and unchecked!), ending 8 wars in eight months, no men playing in women’s sports, no transgender for everyone, rapidly falling Energy prices, and much more!"
As always, it's worth pointing out that Trump did not win three elections. Joe Biden handily defeated him in 2020 and there's zero evidence to support MAGA's claim of widespread voter fraud. Trump's fixation on this lie serves two purposes. It insulates his fragile ego from the truth, while laying the groundwork for voter suppression and fascist tactics in future elections.
The rest of his claims are equally absurd. The economy is in dire straits thanks to Trump's disastrous tariffs. Inflation is skyrocketing, unemployment is up, and all signs indicate that we are in the midst of an AI bubble that could soon pop.
Trump has also lost the support of the country on immigration, his trademark issue, because the American people don't take kindly to seeing masked, unaccountable federal thugs brutalizing innocent people (including legal citizens) and tearing apart families. The more he cracks down, the more unpopular he becomes.
Furthermore, the wars that have ended under Trump's tenure were the work of career diplomats, not Trump himself, as proven by the fact that he keeps confusing Armenia with Albania. He had nothing to do with the actual negotiations. At the same time, he has no legitimate claim to be a "peace president" because he bombed Iran, is carrying out murderous strikes on boats in the Caribbean, and is gearing up to wage an illegal war of aggression against Venezuela.
The transgender issue is nothing more than weaponized cruelty from a Republican Party that delights in targeting vulnerable minorities and energy prices don't matter if people can't even afford groceries.
The fact that Trump is engaging in an outburst like this while traveling around Asia to meet with allies proves once again how unfit he is to be president. At a time when these countries need to see steady American leadership to convince them to align with the United States instead of China, Trump is behaving like an unhinged child. Confidence in our country has hit rock bottom.
"Despite all of this, the Radical Left Losers are taking fake ads, not showing REAL Polls, but rather saying that I’m Polling at low levels," Trump continued in his post. "These are the people that I’ve been beating for years, and am continuing to do so, but by even bigger margins. These ads should not be allowed to run because they are FAKE!"
The reality is that the public is deeply displeased with Trump's disastrous job performance. According to The Economist (no bastion of left-wing sentiment), Trump's approval rating is -17%. 56% disapprove, 39% approve, and 5% are unsure.
MAGA may be falling for Trump's propaganda but the rest of us are wide awake to the catastrophe that is this presidency. |

get a load of this guy 😏😏 In short, the cop who killed Sonya Massey(36) in her kitchen after she called police for a prowler, testified in his own defense today. He said his actions ‘matched the threat level.’
Grayson(31) seemed relaxed as he testified that he shot Sonya in self defense bc he believed she was about to throw a pot of boiling water at him.
He said he had ordered Sonya to remove the pot from her stovetop; so she did. He then is seen to step back, almost in apprehension.
Sonya asks why he is doing this; as if he was afraid she would do something -- to which Grayson acknowledges she might.
Sonya replies, "rebuke him in the name of Jesus.”
Prosecutors showed the body camera footage that then shows how Sonya had already removed the pot when Grayson replies ‘you better f***ing not, or i’ll shoot you in the f***ing face,’” and pointed his gun at her.
Sonya then put her hands in the air, said, “I’m sorry,” and ducked behind her counter.
Grayson told the jury that Sonya's vow to “rebuke him in the name of Jesus” is what led him to shoot her.. saying his actions ‘matched the threat level.’
