What's it with these type of buildings.. Are we regressing in architecture and structural engineering cry
There seem to be no proper planning anymore.. Just aquire a few acres of land land and start throwing blocks and cement all over the place with structure that look like things i can't even describe..

Atleast, we can take a cue from the legacy institutions such as OAU and UI, in retrospect of how our civil engineering and building should be done and carried out.. These things we do have ni taste or aesthetics at all..

This is a picture of Zik Hall in UI na.. We seriously need a revolution within all aspects of our engineering..

Post No Bill
The designers are limited. Most times, there attention is wholly directed at structural integrity. Plus there is just no training for aesthetics and outer features.

MemoriesAndMe:
I wouldnt say that in the western world though. I switched courses, hence the need to take additional courses for me. In Nigeria, I studied Electrical/Electronics Engineering, in the US I decided to get a Bachelors in Information Technology and Masters in Cybersecurity.

The areas are different, most of my electives from Nigeria transferred, but the core courses still had to be taken. It would have been different if I wanted to continue with just BSc in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, but I didnt want to study same thing again. IT was boomin, so I switched to it.
illogical that poly will run uni syllabus/coursework.
Education › Re: NUC Ban On HND To Bsc Conversion: What You Need To Know by CodeTemplar: 5:22pm On May 31
MemoriesAndMe:
No. My transcripts were evaluated and some courses that transferred were accepted. I took additional needed courses in a community college and transferred everything into a university and only had to do 2 years of course work to get my Bachelors.
Safe to conclude then that BSc and HND cant be equated.

MemoriesAndMe:
I didnt even wait to do NYSC, I immediately left Nigeria for the US where I transfered most of my credits to Universities here and got my BSc and MSc from prestigious US Universities and have been working with my degrees in the US since then and can compete with anyone from any part of the world now with my educational and global professional experience.
Did they convert your HND to degree directly or allo you go for shorter degree program?

So why do they offer engineering subjects?
thats just convention. You may study same title in both but end as a technologist or engineer depending on where you study.

He started his education in the popular Ijebu Muslim College in 1970 till 1974. He then moved to Federal Government College, which is located at Odogbolu and schooled there from 1975 to 1977.
Is that a private muslim college or what?

All over the world polytechnics complement and supplement universities.

Islie:
Their(NNPCL) concerns stem partly from the structural advantages foreign refiners enjoy. International refiners typically access cheaper financing, state-backed infrastructure and lower logistics costs. By contrast, Dangote Refinery was forced to construct its own deep seaport, roads, power systems and storage facilities while operating within Nigeria’s high-interest-rate environment.
Everybody has a point. Though Dangote refused to tell us how Buhari sold dirt cheap dollar(our commonwealth) to help him actualize his goals.

Celebrating a team that disgraced them 8-2 in the same competition, e be things o grin. PSG couldn't score an open play goal against Arsenal in an entire 120 minutes, had to drag it till penalties. Their star player is possibly injured and you think Arsenal are pained? Losers enter house! Does this win automatically grant your Chelsea European competition next season?
If the team that beat you wins a tournament, you have that bragging right to claim the second best who, unfortunately, met the best side too early in the competition.

Peter Okoye simply made a post recognizing people’s right to choose their preferred candidate to vote but stated however, that everyone will be held accountable for their choices and that choices have consequences.

Choices have consequences indeed. Who voted the useless PDP that handed to APC in the first place? These same Obidients.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Liverpool Part Ways With Arne Slot With Immediate Effect by CodeTemplar: 1:11pm On May 30
Should Nigeria be run as a football club? Where managers can be hired and fired if the economy and system generally is not working?
