Don't forget that this same road was awarded at 15 trillion naira to Chargoury without any procurement. This road alone is half of the 30 trillion that you claimed Buhari borrowed in 8 years.

1. Directly subsidized down from around N450 of global petrol average.
2. The global average was only N450 a litre because the dollar had been subsidized down from around N1350.

However, you cannot buy directly from them, regardless of how much money you have. They will always direct you to a wholesaler to facilitate the transaction. That’s how the supply chain operates. If Procter & Gamble were a Chinese company, they might undermine their wholesalers, which would lead to unhealthy trade practices.

Wholesale and retailing are done as convenient. Nothing like specialization. Some manufacturers appoint sole distributors to help regulate pricing regime but no law prevents absense of distribution chain structure.

The reality is that the chinese are the cheapest goods producers globally and when you couple that with the fact they are able to bring it here and still beat our final cost of producing locally, then you realize just how dependent we are on them.

They have 1.4B mouths to feed and have been migrating lately to survive. They are simply bypassing the old distributors-wholesaler commerce tunnel to deliver their produce as retailers themselves. They committed no crime. In fact, we African are to blame for not pushing for competitive business environment. We were busy rationalizing activity of buying-selling as industrial scale productivity.
