Because Buhari was running against Southern presidents who enjoyed broad support across the entire South plus middlebelt and a PDP that had the North as its major stakeholders. Can Tinubu say the same? He was outrightly rejected in the South. 70% of his votes came from the North. This is unlike Buhari who would have still garnered the highest votes cast in the 2015 elections if you subtract the entire Southwestern votes. Tinubu simply saw a Northern revolt coming with the exodus from the PDP and latched onto it by throwing his Southern brother, Jonathan, under the bus. If the Southwest alone could make anyone president, they would have done so when Tinubu backed Atiku and then Ribadu in the past or even Olu Falae in 1999.

Keep quite oga. Make buhari president all by yourselves. You can start again with Atiku.
