What I can say about Tinubunomics is that, Tinubu knew quite well that removing subsidy and floating the naira will make prices of things soar, weaken the naira, make the people poorer, but will make more money available for governors in the States to spend. His economic advisers already told him the implications of his policies.

However, he prefers to please the governors than pleasing the people. He prefers the people suffer for his policies than facing the wrath of the governors. If his economic policies were meant to bring relief to the people or better the economy, why are prices of commodities keep soaring, three (almost four years sef) after introduction?

The use of cement in the Lagos-Calabar highway is to blame above every other factor. Devaluation and petrol subsidy removal are just too small in impact in cement price.
