The problem with these clowns is politics. When things are going well they quickly step in to take credits as though it is down to their calculated inputs and efforts. He was busy creating headlines when rainy season improved generation via hydro plants and now the rain is gone, vandals are equally motivated.

90% of reforms will be hijacked out of the 10% the propaganda machine crew are touting as 100% on media. That leaves few APC loyalists as the benefitting 1% the world is programmed to see as Nigerians.

We need revolution for this continent.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Resetting Nigeria With Removal Of Subsidies by CodeTemplarr: 9:05am On Nov 08, 2024
The problem is after saving some funds from subsidy removal and suddenly stifling production at SME level, how will his spending pattern so far bring back what has been lost in productivity and improve it to create the much touted growth?

Is it by duplicating and tolling roads or by navigating busy junctions with flyovers?

The latest batch of loans have a suspended repayment plan for the first couple of years while the loans gets utilized, or more appropriately put, wasted. That's what is causing foreign reserves to accumulate and thus appear to be growing.

Things are going bad but they are busy unleashing aggressive time-buying propaganda on the populace while silently hoping 2023 can be repeated to secure 2027. Food crisis is worse going by pricing level between last harvest and current one. Loans are accumulating and that means a heavier burden in the medium term. Insecurity is barely improving in the face of increased defence budget.

“We will also address revenue shortfalls, focusing on foreign and domestic excess crude accounts, signature bonus accounts, and the NNPCL cash call account. This meeting reaffirms our commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible resource management.”
I like tinubu for one small thing. Thats for his honesty about not trying to diversify the economy in any way unlike Buhari who mouthed it repeatedly but ended up going for imaginary crude reserves in phantom basins.
At least we know Tinubu is only planning to do more aggressively what has failed us thus far. Those are their reforms.
PoliticsRe: What Are The Ongoing Reforms And How Will They Lead To Positives Outcomes? by CodeTemplarr(op): 8:51am On Nov 08, 2024
Edun stated, “The two critical reforms—market-based pricing for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and foreign exchange adjustments—are now at the stage of delivering results. These pillars of reform strengthen our economy by enhancing fiscal viability and laying a solid foundation for growth.”

“These reforms,” he continued, “will generate additional government revenue, support the recovery of NNPCL’s finances, and foster economic growth through increased investment and job creation. We commend Nigerians for enduring to this point where benefits are beginning to materialize.”
Ambiguous as ever. How will higher cost of doing business in the face of deteriorating business climate and security lead to the last sentence about economic growth, investment and job creation?

From the above thread, FG is claiming reforms are ongoing and that they will yield positive outcomes for the populace in the long run. Sounds like a classical time-buying move of politicians to allow them do as they please.

What are the reforms? I like to see them itemized and linked to positive outcomes logically through anticipated effects of each reforms. Help a brother out Nairalanders.

PoliticsRe: Court Documents Show Dangote’s Attempt To ‘monopolize’ Petroleum Industry by CodeTemplarr: 9:43pm On Nov 07, 2024
WorkTheTalk:
Nigeria is a conglomerate of illiterates, courtesy of the thiefing political class. When the corrupt politicians pretend to be on the side of the masses to keep looting the treasury, you hear them accusing people like Dangote of monopoly in the oil sector, whereas for over 30 years, they kept stealing the money meant for fixing the refineries to produce the fuel locally. They use the same stolen money to import fuel, and collect subsidy benefits.

When did Dangote stop NNPC from fixing the refinaries, or approving private companies to build new refinaries to produce fuel locally for a fair market competition? Dangote knows is right as a local producer, and he has approached the court. Whoever believes that Dangote is aiming at the so-called monopoly in the oil sector should approach the cout too.

How can someone produce goods locally, and you import same product to sell in the same market, and call that competition?
Don’t be fooled by all the noise from NNPC and all its affiliates. They want to turn Nigerians against Dangote so they can keep importing fuel, and steal from the treasury in the name of subsidy.

If the oil giants are afraid of oil sector monopoly by Dangote, let them build refineries, and produce fuel locally. They have crude oil locally to produce fuel.

Every sane person knows that the best economy is when there is local production, rather than importation. Even the thiefing politicians know this, but they will try all means to control Dangote, or blackmail him to support their reason for continuous fuel importation.
100% correct.

To add to it, those trying to import fuel are still same people supplying dangote with crude oil so can always adjust the price of his input to squeeze him in the market. They refused to fix any of the four public refineries and want dangote refinery to join the list of dormant refineries.
PoliticsRe: Court Documents Show Dangote’s Attempt To ‘monopolize’ Petroleum Industry by CodeTemplarr: 9:37pm On Nov 07, 2024
Nonsense. The govt has four refineries that can produce Dangote Refinery major product to stop any impending monopoly.

Christianity EtcRe: The Main Reason Prayer Vigils Was Invented. My Opinion by CodeTemplarr:
The main reason for the invention of prayer vigils is that you've been made to believe that principalities and powers operate mostly at late nights, and the best time to engage them is midnight. Is there any other reason?

In developed climes, you would hardly know the difference between night and day. Which principality is coming to attack you while you're casting a deck at 1:30 AM?
The main reason for their productivity over us(Africans) is they are using heavy machines built with wisdom to cast the deck so can afford shifts day and night unlike us who lack technology, get puffed up for the little we have and are not even prioritizing increase of tech adoption rate.
A careful research of how they grew in knowledge and technological advancement will show that they attended church services almost 7 days a week.

Another angle to their productive lifestyle over us is the use of powers and talent irrespective of background and merit based system.
