Good day everyone, I am a final year student, studying a social science course in a federal university.

Please can someone guide me on how to go about my project? What should I after collecting my questionnaire?

How can I analyze the data using software like SPSS? What techniques should I use in analyzing my data?

Our supervisor which is meant to guide us, does not do much to be honest.

The only thing he does is corrections and nothing else.

He has never sat one on one with his students in order to guide them on what to do.

I will be glad if I could receive some links/pointers on the complete process of writing a project.

Also, we didn't learn much on our Research Methodology due to the Corona Quarantine, and even after resumption, we were rushed.

So, we weren't thought the calculations/analysis involved in research process.

I am totally confused right now, and wouldn't want to fail or have a low score on my project.

Please help me!.

Recently, I've been hearing rumors of banks sharing the funds 50-50 with the beneficiaries.

For example, if you have 4m before the account was freezed, you will make a deal with the bank manager, and he'll give you 2m out of the money.

A friend who benefited, went to the bank last week, and was only told that his account will be unfreeze if he writes a letter to the bank stating why the account was freezed in the first place.

Although the account is still freezed, but he only had an over 200k in his account.

My entire family which includes my brothers' wives and their kids and my sisters' families was once a peaceful and an enviable large family but right now, the devil wants to destroy the family through our wives.

My wife and my younger brother's wife who were once greatest friends are now mortal enemies, they don't talk nor regard themselves as humans, this enmity has lingered for long despite me and my brother's efforts and that of my entire family, both extended, to resolve the issues between them, over the years but all to no avail.

It becomes worse by the day as we have tried everything humanly possible that is within our reach to quell the situation, but no success.
It is that bad that as I'm typing this, their enmity is starting to effect me and my brother's relationship, as my younger brother no longer calls nor chats me as he normally does. Even if I called nor chatted him, he won't pick up and neither the missed calls nor the chats would be returned.

I want to try something different, a totally different approach in tackling the situation, that's why I brought it here. I don't want anything to come in between me and my brother nor my family. I don't want anything to happen to neither my brother's wife nor my wife because the heart of man is evil, that's why I'm seeking for a resolution to the ugly situation.

please all your opinions will help a great deal in approaching it from a different perspective.
please save my family.

Obim, My wife is actually the cause of the whole drama,
She accused my brother's wife of having extramarital affair with me due to how close I was with her as a result of the love they(my wife and her) had for each other. It lead to a very heated quarrelling and the lady vowed never to forgive my wife in her life time and my wife whole heartedly accepted the conquest. Obim said if that will keep her away from me that it's a welcome development.

Now, how it's affecting my family is that my kids no longer go on vacation to their place likewise their kids no longer come over to my house during vacation and many more troubles it has caused my entire family.
Initially, My brother understood that it was one of the wahalas associated with women but I'm surprised and confused about his recent change in attitude.

Okay so, few weeks ago, I made a post requesting for a PHP programmer who can implement the email validation functionality.

This job, wasn't mine (since I'm a front end developer myself).

I referred him to the client who requested the job, and he was paid for half of the job even before he started.

Few weeks down the line, he had not implemented any of the features.

Yet, they keep on complaining about not seeing jobs.

If anything, I've learnt to not post any subsequent jobs on nairaland

And the money which has been withdrawn will show minus from your dashboard.

So, they'll still pay back the money.

Earlier today, I received a call from a friend who asked me to send my account number.

Without asking questions, (me wey Sapa dy hold since last month) I sent him my account number.

After 3mins, I received the first alert of 20,000naira. Then, another, and another, totalling 100,000naira.

This was someone who yesterday, was complaining that he does not have money to purchase a recharge card.

I called him, and he told me that the money is for us (me and another friend).

He told me there was a bug in the new MTN momo.

This was someone who holds a strong religious beliefs ooooo.

I'm very sure he got more than 500,000 from the MTN momo Hack.

After ending the call, I started seeing some screenshots of people showing their alerts on their WhatsApp status (some got more than 7million).

I wonder what will be the fate of the software engineers who were implementing the feature.

This right here, is one of the dangers of becoming a software engineer that no one tells you about.

So, how much did you or someone you knew got from the MTN momo Hack?

I did, way before I knew illegal download sites like dlcourse. I was glad I did because I learnt lot from the course. And when I eventually get a job, I'll still support the author of that course as the course was too good! Nothing beats good video courses on Udemy!

I applied for computer science also @ federal university of technology, minna but was giving educational technology. I accepted it because I have stayed at home for 3 years.
It was a 5 years course also, I am in a strong 2:1, also in my finals.
But I just have to find a way to make it work and I am even planning on doing masters.

I'll share my story with you, I got 3 admission in Information technology (IT) and rejected all, note that I didn't apply for them, I applied for engineering, I've always wanted to study engineering, finally, I got the engineering, graduated some years back.

But I tell you, what I have passion for today is information technology, I love (IT) to the core, I am still struggling to get into an IT field, same field I rejected 3 times. Sometimes I just look back and wonder why i rejected those IT courses years back.

It's not like I would have learnt anything big if I had accepted any of those IT course but being in an IT field and being around students who talk about programming and all those IT stuff would have quickly channel my mind towards the opportunities in IT and today, I would have been a self taught programmer.

Who knows, maybe you are exactly where you are suppose to be

However, just relax OP, in reality, school means nothing, when you graduate you'll truly understand.

Hello guys, there's something really bothering me.

And it's the fact that after spending 5years studying a course, i still can't find fulfilment within my soul.

I initially applied for computer science in a federal university, which I was denied.

Instead, the university gave me estate management and valuation.

Even though I never liked the course, some of my Friends have been urging me to go on, claiming that I'll love the course as time goes on.

5years later, I'm in my final year, yet I feel like the course I'm studying was never meant for me.

Right now, I'm in 2:1 grade and yet I felt emptiness deep inside of me.

Even though I've been trying to self study computer science and programming languages (I started with web development with the hope of moving to android development via the react native path).

I still felt like it's not enough and I'll still be disadvantaged when seeking for jobs in the software industry.

Right now, I wish I could turn back the hands of time and had rejected my current course while rewriting Jamb (I actually got the cut off mark for the course, but was still denied).

I'll have loved to go for a second degree in computer science but, my parents fortunately, cannot afford to sponsor me for another degree as I still have like 5 juniors.

Being the first and only son of the family, right now, I'm completely lost.

I'll be glad if anyone here could listen to my story, and at least drop some words of encouragement for me.

I'm currently in my 2nd year and just commenced 2nd semester...
I'm studying in a state university and to my findings one can take an elective course starting from 3rd year.

We started our elective courses in 2nd semester 200lvl here sha.

When registering for elective courses, you should also try to make an enquiry from your seniors if the course material is bulky or the lecturer taking the course is friendly or not, so as to avoid such courses.

Every semester, we had like 3 elective courses to choose from, so we had our own choices to make.

Be serious with elective courses the way you're with core courses as I've mentioned before, there's really no difference.

Elective courses are not limited.

In my school, you're to take an elective course worth 8 credit unit before graduation.

So, if it's 2 credit units, that's like 4 elective courses.

How many elective courses have you taken so far? I believe it should be the same in other federal universities.

After you're done with your elective, you're still allowed to take on other electives if you're in good standing (say 3.0 upward) else, the level adviser will decline your course form you registered online

Definitely Worth it!. It's like writing an extra course.

There's no difference between an elective course and a core course, as it gives you the same perks.

But be careful though, as doing an elective course might take a toll on your brain especially when you have enough course to deal with already.

I did 11 courses (2 elective) in my 400lvl 1st semester and was able to still end up with 4.46 as my CGPA

I've 3.00 in 100 level First semester and same 3.00 in second semester, I'm yet to see 200 level first semester result as i just resume second semester.

Yeah but you'll have to work harder.

I got 2.67 as my 100lvl CGP. Ended up with 3.10 In my 200lvl and then in my 300lvl, I ended with 3.21. I'm in my final year right now, and my CGP is at 3.62. I just need to maintain my CGP and graduate with a 2:1.

So, you have a good chance of making a 2:1 than me sef

You'll need the phone for other things, God for bid something else happen, what will you do?

You can continue programing on your phone (it's hard tho) or use the 1-2 month you'll use to save the money as a break.

If you don't want to take a break, you can use the time to learn the non-programming part of what you're doing.

Fortunately, I came from a poor background.

So, asking my parents for money is not an option either as they still have my 5 siblings to take care of.

Sell the phone if there’s need to. There are many sites which send SMSes for free and a few software you can use to make voice calls.

Thank you for the advice but, I'll still have to sell the phone anyway, due to the fact that we'll be resuming out final year in school next week.

And so, that implies that I'll need a laptop to write my final year project.
