Thegamingorca: bear in mind that By August the money required for block would have been increased to 9900€ Please is there any link to prove this or is it just a rumor? That amount you are stating is scary. I'm struggling to raise the initial amount. Are you certain ?? |

lilfreezy: Hello guys. I made valuable contributions to the German threads by encouraging people to book A even advised people to call the Consulate for verification. But can you imagine that the mod banned me from commenting in the travel section for dropping the phone number of the Consulate, even deleted my comment . I'm banned till October ending. I believe its not fair as I was trying to help.
Cc... Coitus Adeniyii2017 Basalt lovable85 ipod007 goztino dailydolar Well the mod should do the needful and unban lilfreezy. He was the one that made me decide to stick with category A. He was the one that even brought about the glitch argument that we argued against. I don't think it's right to ban someone for that long for dropping the phone number of the Consulate |

So if you ticked the sponsorship thing before and have date now, are we suppose to cancel and rebook without ticking the sponsorship? |

mychellin: Dear Team, I noticed you can now book appointment on category A without ticking the scholarship on the portal. I just did same. I believe this settled the lingering argument.
We shall all be alright. I just noticed it too. Someone here mentioned it could be a GLITCH. I guess he/she was wright after all |

dailydolar: if you cancel you will get new date or is this a new law sir please correct me I think it's not advisable to cancel when the embassy has given one appointment date already. The reason for this new method is to ensure that only people that got admission are expected to book. Hence, if you cancel after been given date, it will take longer time to be rescheduled. It seems the category confusion is back again . I'm sticking with my gut this time. Category A it is. I'm going to log off nairaland cos you guys are causing me more confusion. Afterall nobody will send me to jail for booking the wrong category . Till whenever, Godspeed |

deleven: Please modify this post. Remove the cancelation link please You should also modify and remove it from your quote. All those that quoted should do the same. No one should do anything mischievous by canceling his date. If you do that. He's not getting any date in the next 6 months |

Well I'm going to call the Consulate on Monday and i urge others to do the same. Please those in Lagos should endeavour to visit the Consulate on Monday for clarification.
I remember it got to a point last year when we started seeing no more available dates on their website.
From what I've read, people that booked B on 7th are yet to get dates, so when will people that will book on the 30th get dates because we are many (thanks to US embassy).
Please let's all work together on this. If you have info, don't hoard it, share it. Thank you. |

Adeniyii2017: LMAO.. I’ll tell you!! I booked B on the 6th exactly 10:12pm no date. But yesterday, looked at it all over again with reference to others who called, cancelled and book A. I’ll stand by my A and I’m hoping I’m at the first set cause of people that might have changed too! So help me God. Hmm OK. |

Adeniyii2017: Well what is the Abuja option doing there in the first place? After all we have an application portal for Abuja residents or those from Northern states separately. This is for South! (Lagos). What if the condition of ticking the scholarship is not meant for the submission of the form but rather for the “Abuja”. I mean for you to have the option of having your interview in Abuja and you not from the northern state then you must have a scholarship even though your state of origin is not from the “North” . Just to give those who have scholarship preference rather than waste time in Lagos due to too much applicant. In the past on this thread, that’s what I know Abuja embassy for. My thought is that this is a new development, and I don’t think people can’t make mistakes. Hello Mr, have you booked? If yes, which category did you book? |

Coitus: Peeps in German, I'm made to understand you are only allowed to work for 18 months after your masters, and that you have a better chance of extending your residency permit if you get a job related to your field of study. will one be deported if he/she don't get a job related to their field after 18 months? Answer the above question please |

Coitus: Please, the 8,900 euros we are suppose to deposit in the BA for an MSc program, is it for just one year(two semesters) out of the two years (four semesters)? Does it mean after one year one will pay another one ? . Someone should please respond to this |

amahbrain: Hi In my opinion, I’ll say some programs doesn’t require that you have a professional experience prior to the degree. But even if it does...
Look for things you have done that can translate as experience in that field. Think outside the box... why or how is it that being a stay-at-home mum is an experience in the developed world? That you can be taking care of kids and doing other things means you are a hardworker, you multitask and so on...
Just identify things you did that will be of benefit in that field of study. It’s better not to lie. You’ll need to keep lying to cover up one lie. This will blow up eventually. You wouldn’t want something as meaningless as that cost you your future. Be yourself and tell the truth. Remember you’ll say these to the VOs eventually. They are trained to look out for lies.
You can start looking for places to volunteer. This will say a lot about you. That you are after helping people than after monetary gains in full time employment...

I've noticed that job experience has a role to play in your motivation letter, particularly when it's very much related to the prospective field of study. I'm seeing that it's a huge plus.
The thing is I've been quite unemployed for a long time, as a matter of fact the Last job I had was bank marketing, completely unrelated from my field of study. I'm thinking about lying on my cv, by randomly picking a company in Nigeria that fit my prospective field of study to give me an edge. Now the thing now is...
1. Do the schools verify those information ?
2 does the German embassy verify the information too if one magically gets through the school.?
I need advice on this cos the huge gap on my cv due to unemployment is annoying me. |
