Haha..from Christ Embassy Charity Commission appoints Interim Manager to charity under investigation 12 August 2014 The Charity Commission, the regulator of charities in England and Wales has appointed an Interim Manager to the charity Christ Embassy (registered charity number 1059247) ('the charity'). The Commission used its powers under the Charities Act to appoint Mr Rod Weston of Mazars as Interim Manager of the charity to the exclusion of the charity's trustees as a temporary and protective measure. He took over the management of the charity on Monday 11 August. The charity's trustees have been informed of the decision, and the Interim Manager will be communicating with the charity's beneficiaries. In July 2013, the regulator opened a statutory inquiry into the charity to investigate a number of serious concerns relating to the financial management of the charity, including in particular large connected party payments. Since then a books and records inspection has been carried out and the regulator has obtained information from and met the trustees, however, the regulator's concerns about the financial management of the charity have not been resolved. The appointed Interim Manager will: take over the management of the charity, including its staff, assets, interests, and relations with third parties discharge the functions of a charity trustee of the charity to the exclusion of the current charity trustees of the charity take any steps necessary to secure and take control of the assets of the charity The religious activities of the charity are not affected; the Interim Manager is taking steps and working with the pastors to ensure this remains the case. It is the Commission's normal practice to publish a report on its website on conclusion of an inquiry setting out what issues the inquiry looked at, what actions were undertaken as part of the inquiry and what the outcomes were. Ends PR 72/14 For press enquiries contact the press office. Orisetjiafor. And now bishop Oyedepo. Next in line GO Adeboye et al. The days of reckoning are here. The brits being our colonial masters will always help clean up our mess just like they jailed Ibori to teach us a thing or two. |
OLAADEGBU: God is the Creator and deserves the right to discard His creation as He sees fit. That does not give us the right to discard what we have not created. Abortion is murder because you have taken the life that you cannot create.Seriously this is your best defence? Your god did not create nothing. You only believe this because some book of fiction written by primitive men who arrogated to themselves the status of the 'chosen ones' and raised their god above all others said so. Your argument is invalid.
|
OLAADEGBU: It sums up your fishy morality in a few words.Look who's talking about killing babies. Seriously which god are you on about? The yahweh god or a different one? Your hypocrisy is unparalleled
|
OLAADEGBU: But you fear going to jail, don't you?
|
Well dayum! Another fowl's rump blown open! |
Very rich coming from someone who considers Abraham his father. Someone who tried to kill his own son because of a voice in his head supposedly from his sky daddy. If the op consider such an act worthy of admiration and emulation, what could he possibly consider reprehensible? Again,if all morality stems from god like ola would have us believe, where does god get his morality? |
For the simple reason that there's not a shred of proof that a god exists. All gods and their accompanying religions are man made. It's as simple as that. |
claremont: So why did your Good Lord ignore the rest of the Ebola patients who eventually passed away but chose to keep these ones alive?! Don't you see the irony of your comment?! You are thanking your God for apparently saving these patients at the expense of the hundreds who died?!This is what gets to me about comments like that.900 people have died from from Ebola. Five persons are said to be in stable condition. (I hope they recover fully too)Everyone thanks God. They say: 'God had a purpose for these people. God saved her for a reason!' 'God saved him for a reason!'Do we not realize how cruel that is? Do we not realize how cruel it is to say that if God had a purpose for that person, he also had a purpose in killing everyone else who was affected? For every time you say that there's a purpose behind one person's success, you invalidate billions of people. You say there is a purpose to their suffering. And that's just cruel. But then again what do i know. Such comments can only make sense to a christian. |
kamo2930yahoo: so everyone that didnt fast or finish the fast wud encounter sumtin bad?only God can answer that one, stop assuming!Well Adeboye said all those who completed the 100 day fasting will not contract the ebola virus. The corollary therefore, is that those who didn't may either contract it or meet some other horrible fate.Hence my question.Yeah god indeed..sigh |
Truly sad and tragic. Are we to assume these RCCG members who just met their gruesome demise failed to complete the 100 day fasting? Just thinking |
Na wa o! Christians sha..smh |
It is really tragic to see women and children killed in such a gruesome manner. This again strikes to the core of the god question. Where is this so called almighty god in all this? Is he sleeping again? Is he laughing his aŕse off? Is he dead? Or he probably never existed in the first place. Same goes for the ebola virus raging across West Africa & threatening to go global. Is this god's idea of a joke? How come suddenly all these so called men of god are barring individuals from affected countries? If the excuse is 'respect for authority',why aren't they heading to these countries to perform all those feats we watch with shock and awe on tv? Same applies to boko haram blowing up this same god's adherents to smithereens right in his presence aka churches. After all god said where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name i will be there in their midst. To think that a bomb can go off right in god's presence killing and maiming is beyond comprehension. Yet,the gullible have refused to get their heads outta their aśses and begin to put them to use. I feel for these folks. So Ola you see, your god is either impotent, dead or non existent. |
Again if the argument is part of the bible came from god and part from primitive men,how do we know which is which? You do not know if Jesus really is resurrected, or if that's just a make-believe story inserted by primitive men. How do you know if God wrote the Ten Commandments or not? If any part of the Bible has been polluted by primitive men, you have to reject the whole thing. There is no way to know who wrote what, so the entire book is invalid. Let me reiterate, there really is no middle ground here. The Bible has to be an all-or-nothing book. Either the entire Bible came from God, or none of it did. |
Ok honestly i'm confused. What am i supposed to believe now?Confusion galore from the so called book of life..sigh
|
One would only be indulging in self deceit to insist the bible is divinely inspired. Thus, error free. The books in the bible were written by men who sought to project their own image of god as they deem fit. If the bible was truly inspired by some god,he would have gone to great lengths to ensure his word as written in the scripture contained exactly what he wanted and how he intends to convey it. There really is no middle ground here,no excuses,no ifs, buts or maybes.

Joshthefirst: an external source would have to be confirmed by another and another. An endless and foolish cycle.

Take time to ponder...

Arosa: Na so rumors take dey start o. The man was cleared of Ebola. that means he no get Ebola for body. shikana.Reason why his name wasn't disclosed. Some folks on here have already concluded that he has the virus. It was just a routine check which came out negative! Is it that people don't read,or read but don't understand? I tire for some people sef. |
Enough said!

6 months is a safe bet in my opinion |
She has been released. I honestly don't know what GEJ was thinking when he gave that directive
|
It is really saddening that insurgents still have the capacity to hoist flags in towns and villages in the NE. It is safe to conclude the military still hasn't gained the upper hand in this war as we have been led to believe |
That awkward moment when you discover it is bros J in the photo. Mindblowing innit?

maestroferddi: The logical statement you ought to have made should have been that you believe that there is no God. I wonder what gave the leeway to think for those who believe that there is God.Let me reiterate, there is no god, period! For those who choose to seek solace in their delusions i feel nothing but pity for them. Besides,if your god did exist he wouldn't need foot soldiers like you and your co-travellers to do his bidding. He should be more than capable to stand in his own defence. But alas, that is never going to happen so you'll have to keep doing it for him. Defending an imaginary friend is becoming an arduous task by the day..sigh |
Kay17: Probably there is no God. That's a possibility Christians do not consider at all. There's no god, period! |
olempe: God forbids tattoo. (Leviticus 19:28).9:28) Yeah but you left out Revelation 19:11-16 Revelation 19:16 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords
|
OLAADEGBU: The saying "don't confuse me with facts because my mind is already made up" applies to your case and I can only blame Charles Darwin for deceiving you into believing that the "black race" is inferior to the "Caucasians". Go learn your genetic lessons to understand what the Bible teaches.Your rant is inconsequential. You have not answered my question. What skin color were Adam and Eve to begin with. And if all races are one like you would have me believe why did your god have to choose one group over and above all others? Darwin did not institute racism in this world, your god did; Deuteronomy 7:6-8 6 For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosenyou out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession. The Israeli-Palestine conflict readily comes to mind. Slavery, yes it's in your bible. God ordering other nations wiped out,it's in your bible too. These doesn't strike me as a god that created all races from Adam. I don't expect you to concur though but all i want you to tell me is what skin color where Adam and Eve? Let's start from there. |
I'm pretty sure even you don't believe all that claptrap in that clip. First off, what color where adam and eve? White, brown or dark? Secondly, even if it were true that this god infused different colors DNA in the first parents what would be the purpose of that? To spread hate? To introduce race superiority? To introduce race inferiority? What exactly? Oh yeah lest i forget, that wasn't god's plan. That was the devil creeping in to destroy god's beautiful work. I've heard that one before. Remind me again why god chose one race over and above all others? The whole story reeks of putrid stench |
The extra 1 billion dollars being requested for is nothing if it will be put to use for the purpose it is meant for. The NAF is the weakest link in this war on terror and more cutting edge birds is required desperately to support the troops on the ground. |
OLAADEGBU: Who said fossils are unobservable? It's obvious my question has put you in a very tight spot. It's ok,i get it. You choose your battles wisely. Lol |
These devices contain cobalt, coltan, tantalite as well as other minerals sourced from the DRC and keeps the armed conflict there alive. Corporations pay militias heavily to mine these minerals thus, fuelling the conflict there leading to deaths of millions;6 million recorded deaths, not to talk of the undocumented deaths. Rápe of the most unimaginable kind, child labour, recruitment of child soldiers and so many other heinous atrocities too numerous too mention. How these so called god loving christians can use these blood tainted devices to tell us about the love of god is beyond me. But when you remember the level of violence in the bible they cherish so much then it should come as no surprise. |
I'm aware of a family where the man has never worked since they got married. The wife is high up there in the NHS so i think it was kind of a mutual agreement thing. Recently the wife just bought him a Range Rover sport [Overfinch] to 'upgrade his status'. So yeah it does work for some couples. |

It is evolutionists that speaks through both sides of their mouths when they say evolution is observable and at the same time you say the evolution of molecules to man is not observable.
