Biggieboy: The issue was not from paypal, bro.
U funded 2k and #1050 was debited for the card, leaving u with #950.
U linked ur card and paypal charged u #360 or something and you had just close to #600 left in ur card.
The reason why it was declined when u tried to confirm ur card is that u did not wait for the #360 deducted for the linking to be credited back to ur card. At the time u tried to confirm it, u had less than #700 and that was why u could not confirm it initially. That wasn't my case, because even the ₦360 wasn't deducted initially. But the night it was successful, immediately I entered my card details, they sent me debit alert of ₦360 and credited it back within few minutes. So for me I believe it was from PayPal. |

nwafresh: Yes. Yesterday I just tried it now and it linked. So I have equally confirmed it. It wasn't because of the address or whatever, I will believe it's from PayPal. For those who haven't linked and confirmed theirs successfully, just keep trying, it will go through as far as you have loaded your card. I really appreciate everyone here. Kudos to you guys. |

nwafresh: Apart from your address, do you have up to 1k presently in the account? If no, go and fund your account with 2k. They'll take #1050 for card fee, then PayPal will take close to 800 or so. I loaded 2k before trying to link it. The bank deducted ₦1050 for card. You still not answered my question. Have you resolved yours? |

Biggieboy: Do u have at least #800 in it? I loaded it before trying to link it. I loaded 2k and ₦1050 deducted. |

nwafresh: With my experience so far, i guess it will help a lot folks that are yet to get their prepaid card..
1. Make sure that your billing address on paypal will be the same with the one you'll fill during the card application. If your PayPal address is not correct, you can edit it (i edited mine) 2. Request for the card from the customer service before he starts filling the details online. Once the card is with you, check the back of the envelope and see if what is written is INTERNATIONAL HIGH. if not, don't allow the personnel to continue with the process online.(i had same issue. I didn't check the back of the envelope and the guy ended up giving me LOCAL HIGH. So please ensure you collect the card envelope and check before he proceeds ) 3. If the account (INTERNATIONAL HIGH) is successful, ensure you deposit at least #2000.
4. Once step 1-3 is correctly followed, you can now proceed with both the linking and confirmation.
Shout out to thorrvik55, OBI. I'm loyal sir. It seems you have resolved yours. Mine is international high yet refuses to link. I have not been able to visit the bank. My issue might be the address.

Please guys. Has anyone been able to resolve the issue of not being able to link Africard to PayPal? |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by collinshush: 11:00am On Jul 27, 2019 |
thorrvik55: I've not come across such issue of africard being declined even though it's funded. Was able to get these possible reasons from PayPal. If you've funded ur africard and it's showing card declined, kindly check if it's one of the following reasons: [
1. The billing address you've entered for your PayPal account is different than the one on your card statement. What to do: Check your card statement to ensure both addresses match. If you are sure you've entered the information correctly, please call the card company to find out what they have on file. Sometimes, after a recent move, the information may take longer to be updated.
[b] Thanks, I will check this out. I'm suspecting it could be the reason why mine was declined. Thanks so much. |

Please which branch did you get yours from? Is there anybody who has gotten it recently? Where are you at Ibadan? I'm also in Ibadan presently. I just did mine this morning. Nothing like $7 o. They only said that I should fund the card with 2k anytime I'm ready to start using it. |

If you can teach, go to any public schools, ask them to give you Request Letter. You can as well try State Secretariat, any ministries.
