Sherlock Holmes indeed. So anyone who says the truth about Igbos or Igbo land here in Nairaland automatically becomes a Yoruba person.

Yes, Anambra is a State where developments are evenly distributed across every parts. (NAFDAC office located in Agulu that's not even inside a capital territory is an example). Yes, they have many beautiful residential houses in the villages, even in a remote villages. That's not arguable.

But the bitter truth still remains that the only place in Anambra state that can be called a city is Onitsha.

Awka is a village not a city. The Governor should start lifting Awka to a city status. It's necessary because Awka is the capital territory.

Secondly, Ibadan is far far more developed than Awka Village, yes, that's the bitter truth. I have been laughing at you all these while.

Every city has a low-end areas and a high-end areas. Those who have traveled understand what I mean. But my problem with Awka is that the entire Awka is a village, there's no place in Awka village that you can call a high-end area. The whole place is a village.

Take Owerri for instance, there's New-Owerri and there's Old-Owerri. They created New-Owerri because they want Owerri to take a City look. That's what your Governor, Obiano should be doing in Awka. He should develop Awka Village to take a City look.

Nwanne, this is exactly my point. They're always posting the same pictures of flyover Bridges here all the time and if you try to correct them, they will start calling you a Yoruba person. Before you know it they'll get somebody's pictures and phone number and say it's you.

As far as I'm concerned, Awka still remains a village. The current Governor is not doing enough to uplift Awka into a City. They need to implement the Master Plan of Awka before it can turn into a City.

I'm aware of new Estates springing up inside Awka, they're still under construction. It's a welcomed development but for now, Awka still remains a village.

Our focus is Awka the Capital Territory of Anambra state which you're always posting same pictures of flyover Bridges all the time. If you go to any part of the world, the Capital Territory is always distinctive from other cities no matter the level of development of the State or the Country.

For over years now, Obiano has not added any new structures in Awka village. Awka still remains a village and nothing is being done to upgrade it to a city status.

No doubt that there are beautiful houses in the villages of Anambra state, but hey, we're talking about Awka, the Capital Territory.

Awka needs to be upgraded to the status of a Capital Territory. Tell Obiano to start implemention of Master Plan of Awka so as to give it a City look.

Imagine, a whole Capital Territory of a state doesn't have a Stadium, not even a sport facilities. Had it been Unizik wasn't situated in Awka I wonder how the village called Awka would have looked like today. Tụfịakwa.
