Oga ednut, wherz ur ppa? I was also deployed to ABia ( a private sec school) we were informed that it is the skul's duty to pay us as state government won't pay. Only those posted to Local Government offices and government schools are to be paid by state government.. I stand to be corrected if i'm wrong.

From camp i was posted to a secondary school wit international included in their name but wit just 3 teachers and 9-corpers..i was give biology n chemistry (ss1 to 3)but 4students in each class and basic sicence (j.s 1 to 3)...one-day d proprietor saw me wit earpiece along d skul block and shouted meet me in my office! He said: next time i see u wit earpiece i will reject u but i said sir i need it now...he was shocked n told me to comeback tomorrow but never call me for it...at d end of nysc he gav me a OX FAN, P-IRON AND AN ENVELOP IN 20,000...PLS ASK FOR REJECTION LETTER!

Umm, plz is dis school in Ugwunabo LGA, Abia, ur ppa sounds exactly like mine with "international" in d name. . I was posted to a school in the above LGA.. # regular teachers and 6 corpers.. I was asked to teach chemistry (ss1 to ss3) and maths (js1 to js3)... I'm yet to resume

Umm, I'm not married yet, but my uncle is On behalf of him, he comes directly home after work( alaba to satellite town), rests and goes out for the evening.. This happens some days during weekdays, but friday's outing na must.

When he comes home, he meets his meals and stays a little with family b4 zooming off... I think the wife understands the outings are necessary for business.

it's not a must to have one b4 going to secretariat for registration. they might ask yu if yu have a place in mind(that's if they've ran out of PPAs, that's when yu produce ur LOR. Yu also need a LOR if yu have som place yu wanna serve in mind.

In umuahia, they disregarded most LORs( i had a big school i wanted) except yu hav long legs. The married women were giving good ppas especially if ur request letter is from the vicinity ur husband resides. I don't know how it's done in other states.

OC cool: My pple, how una dey? Long tym no see. Its really been a while since I last commented. Am jst using my 1wk plus break to write my notes i will use 2 lecture at my ppa (Sch of midwifery (Niger state college of nursing sciences, Minna). Mehn, it has nt been an easy task

Guy, i've not seen my principal( cos he's busy with his students writing SSCE- the school registered under anoda school), but i was attended to by the Vice. She told me there are 3 regular teachers (herself, the principal + one teacher), the rest na previous batch corpers , making it a total of 8 personnels. The total number of pupils are estimated at 50, 15 for each set, The school academic building is made up of 2 standard rooms with primary school sits
I'm to teach chemistry to senior class and maths to junior class... i'll update more later...

@mencade5, after some of us got their ppa, the zeal to continue service year dropped drastically... and moreover, yu won't here from some peeps again throughout this service year cos some ppa are vewy remote.. Count ur blessings

Finally got my ppa... Maryland International Sec. School, Asa-Nnentu, Ugwunagbo LGA, Abia state. Don't be deceived by the "international" in d name. So far, the community is friendly with water, electricity and moderate network coverage. Looking forward to a fulfilling service year, so help me God.

Mz_Stunner: i was also redeployed to abia state, but i hv completed my reg @ d state secretariat. i have also gotten a ppa. its just to go back to umuahia next week and collect my i.d card. then got to the LGA where i was posted to register. pple started registration since last week.
