PoliticsRe: Eu Parliament Wants Aid To Nigeria Stopped Until Fresh Polls by Colonia(m): 12:55pm On May 25, 2007
McKren:
This is blessing in disguise, we need to be self sufficient.
We have enough to do that, EU can keep their aid.

All we need in Nigeria is to use our oil and gas to negotiate for whatever we want.
EU aid to Nigeria is simply impoverishing Nigerians of tomorrow, because what it means is that if the Govt loots both our money + EU aid. They would have succeeded in looting future Nigerians into debt.
Good Point , we need to be self sufficient. Lets face it when we get all the aid , any thing outstanding going on? they cannot do without us they are just fooling themselves. It is time for us to stand up to this people and work toward been self sufficient.

MAMAJAMA:
Colonial what part of France did you go to? have you see what Cameroonians are doing there? even Senegal people? not to talk ot my Naija people that are there
Paris, What exactly are the Cameroonians doing overthere? Hustle like most Africans do in foreign Land? i have friends there they always prefer to be in England, better opportunities i guess. I am sorry my brother some Africans suffer in France big time.( No jobs ) the good thing is that most end up going to school though.

MAMAJAMA:
Americans have been practicing this process for a long time, the British are just emulating their OGa Yankee.

SO in reality BIGB1 after spending 40 years in A foreign land don't you know this places have become our home, he work, have friends and even family here. do you know the percentage of Nigerians that returned home and are dead within the 1st couple years?
The only way I will support this useless idea from France is for France to return all our ill gotten money they have been using to developed their nation. Is this not the same France that refused to helped EFCC in facilitating a case against IBB?

Who in their right mind will take 6000 EUROS to go back to Lagos or ABAKALIKI? FRANCE need to help develop Africa, and facilitate a continuing progress not just this CHUMP change. Like I've said earlier it's now that we are competing with them on intellectual level that they want to send us back home. why is their clubs coming to Nigeria and other African nation to recruit footballers to entertain their people? Boy think and don't be a follower to what all this people are telling you. go back to France and see what Africans are doing. we are taking over, and they don't like it.
Do you think France will think about NiGERIA like that? they did not colonize us. And can you please tell me what Africans are taking over in France ? I saw a diffrent picture when i went to France. Thanks[/quote

The truth will come out, he has been arrested, and we are doing everything possible to get the details, be on the look out for my press conference. OBJ has nothing to do with this oh grin grin
I guess you gat it like that .Will  be looking out for the real 411.
PoliticsRe: Bola-ige Was Killed By Drug Barons- Obj by Colonia(m): 9:06pm On May 24, 2007
Thats the bigest problem we face. Do you know that the most famous folks in Nigeria are corrupt folks. People actually hail you if you can swindle people of their future. All our leaders are 419 they do not only ruin the present, they screwed up future of many . Also what i noticed is that why is it that before someone gets into office they actually sound like 99% of folks in this forum seeking peace , progress development etc But Alas! as soon as they get into the office they are having meeting with SATAN, who will be their best buddy, they can careless . This affects all, not only the government. ( The government to me cannot help us anyway)I guess the question to all is how do you all lead wherever you are ? ( home, office, public place etc) I still cant figure out how this statement came about. Drug Baronhuh? bunch of clowns!!
PoliticsRe: Paris To Pay Immigrants To Return Back To Africa by Colonia(m): 8:47pm On May 24, 2007
Good points BIGB1. i think France is doing a good thing , because they do not have to give anybody a dime. But i see what they are doing it will be actually cheaper for them to give Migrants money other than using this money to fight immigration. I don't think that will stop immigration to France. As soon as somebody Land Africa  with couple of euros and buy a nice car everybody will want to be on France's payroll too.
The bottom line is there is no place like home, no matter how long you spend abroad you will never be accepted by oyinbos PERIOD!
PoliticsRe: Count Down To May 29! by Colonia(m): 1:04pm On May 24, 2007
Please lets be cautious not to fall for the trap. Please my people do not use Obasanjo's regime as reference point. As you all can see if we do not thread softly that is part of the hand over plan.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Diplomat Caught With N300m In India by Colonia(m): 12:58pm On May 24, 2007
This is last minute effort before the new government. I am sure there is more to the situation than we know as usual.
PoliticsRe: We, Nigerians Should Rally Around President Yar'Adua by Colonia(m): 12:52pm On May 24, 2007
@ Angel
When i say we are different, we too sabi? if you know what i mean. Even in London you know how things are grin we stand out and we intimidate other Africans somehow. Lets just keep our fingers crossed for the best. My own crusade is for us all to join hands in anyway we can to bring our country back. We should stop thinking that some leader will help us.But if we decide to fight lets just be cautious . Thanks.

i
i do remember the influx of ghanians during their struggle but do u realize that the whole world has an influx of Nigerians seeking economic refuge?

no i am not sure wether or not what worked for Ghana will work for us, but i am certain that the 'sit down look' attitude that we have used used for so long will NOT work!

I am not sure if we are ready for this rebellion, Like i said until we all can unite we do not stand a chance. In Nigeria brothers turn against one another because of Money. can you honestly tell m e how you feel anytime you come home from London, How happy are you when you see the level of bribery and corruption at the airport. I know people who come home and the very first day they get here they start counting down the day they will be going back. My point is i really do wish there is a way we can get our point across without violence but if we have to go with violence how prepared are we? Do you or any other member of this forum REALLY REALLY think you can get 100% cooperation to fight this trend? Do you know that we Nigerians are made different by GOD.? Do you know that immigration has been going on for ever?Do you know how many people migrate from China daily?people are always looking for greener pastures. I am actually not in support of this new Regime , but who will be the president if this guy is not allowed? You did mentioned that you voted, who did you vote for? will you be happy if your candidate won?
If the best way out of this is to fight why is it now?what happened during IBB and Abacha regime don't you think we should have started this crusade way back then? Out of all the Presidential candidate who would have been our best choice? Please let me know.Ok Ok the election was rigged we all know that.

these very questions being asked by the average Nigerian is the reason why we are where we are today. it is why they govt know that they can do whatever and no one will have the courage to stand up to them.

Believe me if we can get to the government this way , i will be down with it too, but can we ever agree on the action that we will take to shake the people in  power, Nigeria is bigger than Ghana. To lead this country you need excellent LEADERSHIP skills. It is a very complex society with a lot of EXTRA SMART folks.

y does it have to be so? if the people of the developed countries had this mind set, they will be in the same position as we are today. humans by nature are opportunistic and will take liberties if they are able to.
You made a good point "developed countries"when we talk about developed country there are laws and guidance that they follow. i have been to America and Europe there may be some folks who break the law but they better hope the authority do not get hold of them, they make them pay for it. If we really want to make an impact on NIGERIAN government we need to be UNITED. When we are all united we can actually PARALYSE the government and they will definitely feel it, without anybody getting killed. But can we all AGREE ? that is the big question. Thanks

@ Angel 101
why are you comparing Ghana to Nigeria? Did you know what went down overthere during this struggle? Are you sure what worked in Ghana will definitely work in Nigeria. Do you remember the Influx of our Ghanaian brothers/sisters into Nigeria during their struggling days? I want  you to think about where Nigeria started compared to Ghana. We all wish things are diffrent, I mean we can conduct free and fair election without all the complications. Are we even united to fight any government? Until Ibo, Yoruba and Hausa can see themselves as brothers and sisters i don't see any effective rebellion going on. I am sure we don't want any Liberia situation going on here in Nigeria. Also, we have a lot to loose as a nation compare to other African nation. How many times do you listen to BBC without the press talking about  Nigeria? We are a FORCE to reckon with worldwide.
Lets assume we want to protest this new election,
1. Who will lead this protest?
2. Who will sponsor the protest?
3.Do you think there can be a peaceful demonstration? If so, will it be effective
4. Does anybody care if there is a protest? i.e in the government remember June 12!!! we all protested
5.Whether we go to court or  protest  the government will still have the final say.
PoliticsRe: We, Nigerians Should Rally Around President Yar'Adua by Colonia(m): 9:27pm On May 18, 2007
@BIG B1
Maybe we should all ask ourselves what we have done to make Nigeria better, instead of focusing on Leaders who are human . Lets go back to our individual household Please!!! its too late to deepend on any Leader to figure this maze out. They sure need all the support they can get.
PoliticsRe: We, Nigerians Should Rally Around President Yar'Adua by Colonia(m): 8:16pm On May 18, 2007
i read all the post it seem to me like we are still bunch of confused people who will continue to dwell on failure. Talk all you want there is something know as moving on for a change. If Nigeria does not move on  we will stay where we at. I just have two  questions for all. Should we stay where we athuh? and i will appreciate it if y'all can predict the future of dwelling on issues. OR should we move on? and what is the outlook ?
Its funny some folks suggested violence, look at the other African countries which one has  successfully settled their issues by violence. ? We all know the election was rigged but do we want to go back to square one, and you guys think things will be different? Majority can stay in London and America talking all kind of stuff , you all have food on your table, you all work, you all have functioning system. what about common Nigerian? what hope do they have ? Do you know that  Nigerians just want to continue with their life and keep food on the table for their family. All this is a plot by the outgoing regime, You know as Nigerians use to say when i was growing up that Gowon's regime was the best . We all know that from the get go that each emerging regime gives  birth to the next regime. Check the record. We have THE SAME GROUP  ruling the country since independence IF ANYBODY THINK HE/SHE can break all the barriers down let the person come forward and save us.

I have always wonder if anybody is paying attention to our infrastructures in Nigeria. I have places that have remained the same for close to 50 Years. We go through all these power changes . But we are still in the same situation. NA WAH O.
PoliticsRe: Oyo State ! by Colonia(m): 8:21am On Mar 24, 2007
I understand your point. It is really a shame the way things are going in that state. One will think the older generation will know better by now. One thing i know for sure people in there 60s, 70s and 80s will not live for another 60 years . And when we die it is very important to know that we will never take anything with us. The problem we have is that we have laws , but these laws are for common citizens.Nobody should be above the law. I can tell you something , everybody will reap whatever they sow. That is for sure.
PoliticsRe: Efcc Should Stay! by Colonia(m): 8:09am On Mar 24, 2007
I am sure RIBADU must have some integrity before he was appointed to head EFCC. As we all know it takes a lot to be able to maintain your senses whenever someone with integrity takes a public position in Nigeria. The way i see it what could he have done? he was appointed by somebody, he has a boss. The whole EFCC idea is great , but until they can stay focused there is no point. At first the respect they had has to be regained, for "EFCC" to ever make sense again. Overall , keeping them around with restructured modus operandi will be great. We Nigerians need organization like this to keep people who think they are untouchable in check.
PoliticsRe: IBB: Still The Right Man by Colonia(m): 2:01am On Mar 12, 2007
I understand you all have mixed feelings about this issue. It will be difficult to have a credible candidate for Nigeria. I Know we all think a new person can do it , but WHO exactly is the Saviour? NIGERIA NEED DEVINE INTERVENTION. We should not believe in any man . All y'all have various opinion about this issue. But let us all pray that GOD choose the best candidate that will be able to dissect the problem the nation has . This problem starts from our individual household.
