Yes I agree but you got the idea it would happen because the general impression was that blatant wrongdoing , from anyone, was not condoned under OBJ.

Now things are so bad under this Government you almost automatically expect a strong and robust support of any wrongdoer from the North like how the FG was making excuses arrogantly from day one in the case of "Pantami is going nowhere" and asking Nigerians to basically go and fck themselves if they don't like the governments decision to retain Pantami.

Nigeria has been so horribly and toxically divided under Buhari one wonders how any future President begins to heal the very deep wounds of ethno-religious division ravaging our Country today.
Pantami did not commit any crime.

That's why I make the Tafa Balogun comparison. Tafa Balogun was tried and jailed Under OBJ. He was even paraded in handcuffs.

Let's see if the entire justice process is brought to bear on Kyari given the present Government's penchant for brazen and openly partisan behaviour.

100% sure Pantami would have been dismissed by OBJ even as I am not a fan of our former President.
Yet one does not know what to expect from the Buhari Government anymore. Shame.
Even Tafa's dismissal was not overnight.

The rest of the Nigeria field are not the best in their respective sports by a large margin.

Truth is the average Nigerian is corrup. As such, a corrupt system prevails.

Big test for the Buhari government sha. Will it be like Pantami like Kyari again or will Buhari go the way of OBJ who boldly took down former IGP Tafa Balogun his own kinsman.

I know the outcome I would bet on. We dey watch in 3D and 4k lol.
No test here.

Kyari would be dismissed from the force.

I don't know about being tried subsequently.

Our culture of “roger” is the problem here. And I have serious doubt we will be able to take “roger” out of our life as a third world nation.

Many times we call on a police Oga to help us resolve an issue or intervene in a matter. This “oga” will intervene to help out. You call on him when other police men harass you on the road. When there is a robbery. In a case of fraud. In all of these, this “oga” will help. But you know as a culture here you must roger “boys” at the end of the job.

This is what I see in this Kyari -hush saga. I think his bosses at NPF will understand and see it from that view that he just helped “hush” to arrest Chibuzo because “hush” claimed he defrauded him (hush).

Foreigners may not really understand this “roger” culture of ours, but we here understand “roger”.

A foreigner investigating a case but not familiar with the culture here, these might appear terrible but it somewhat a way of life here. Bad as it may, that’s how the Nigeria system works!
Even the boys sent to arrest Chibuzor would never go on such errand next time should oga tell them nothing was given for the task.

So why did you make that comment?
I don't know it many of the people on this forum can't make logical deductions.

Kyari is guilty of human rights abuse and even receiving bribes but that doesn't make him an accomplice.

There's evidence kyari provided the accounts the money was paid into.

Do you think the FBI are dumb to make such accusations?
Yes and even Hushpuppi in his texts clearly stated the purpose.

To get Chibuzor arrested and tortured for trying to double-cross his business.

Very typical. They are going to set up a committee that will look into the report and recommendation from the IG office from the DIG to the Force Disciplinary Board

Honestly they should let him be. He has trended this week so let him have some time to face his job; tailoring or police.
Of course, internal affairs must do its duty otherwise anybody can just come up with any allegation and officers would lose their jobs willy nilly.

Have you got a fail-safe way for such matters to be handled?

I will oblige your stupidity

You were arguing that the 8 million figure was out of thin air which showed you didn't even read anything about the case.

The figure is explicitly stated on b section on page 53.

Here is a screenshot from the complaint which I will advise for the last time that you read before embarrassing yourself further with these totally wrong takes on the subject.
I'm sure you can read but comprehension might not be your strength.

Abbas posted receipts of money sent from his associate to another person's account.

Proving that Kyari received said monies would take some doing.

Even with that, proving the purpose of the payment would be even more tenuous.

Kyari is guilty of a lot of things but not what many are pushing.

So Kyari can deny involvement in this crime even with hard evidences against him?

Why did Kyari lie about not receiving personal money from Hush in his Facebook post if he had nothing to hide?
Who says Kyari has nothing to hide?

Kyari received bribe to inflict bodily harm to a citizen using the apparatus of the police force.

He's guilty of that and should be summarily dismissed and even jailed for such crimes.

But other crimes bordering on fraud hold no water.

Up until Hushpuppi's arrest, he wasn't a criminal even if doubts about his person lingered.

Abba Kyari is innocent - say yes! grin
He's not innocent but what is he guilty of?

What we might agree he's guilty of would definitely warrant dismissal from the Nigeria Police Force and maybe even jail time for human rights abuse.

But some of the things I read are mostly circumstantial, and cannot stand the focus of scrutiny.
