The amended section 10 of the Act stipulates that there shall be “a part-time chairman who shall be a Deputy Governor in the Central Bank of Nigeria to be nominated by the Central Bank of Nigeria.”

The AMCON Act also amended the 2010 establishment Act by increasing the powers of the Corporation to recover debts owed to legacy banks.

It is those that don't know Amaechi that claim he cant travel without a retinue of security details.

I remember vividly i was flying through Amsterdam in 2014, and I saw Amaechi was on the same queue at MMA, and indeed same flight to said Amsterdam.

I really didnt know much about him but his disposition warmed me to him and since then I began to take an interest in him.

It is funny how Nairaland had a library of his achievements in Rivers state , which was remarkable for his time.

All this, sadly got "destroyed" at some point. Na so Nairaland claim.

Only a liar would claim Amaechi did nothing for Rivers state or indeed the transport ministry.

Nine Top FIRS Officials Arrested
By Rotimi Durojaiye - December 10, 2019

Nine senior officials of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) are currently in detention over alleged multi-billion naira fraud.

The officials, who are being detained by the anti-graft agency (EFCC) in Abuja, include the Director of Finance and Accounts (DFA) of the FIRS, Mohammed Auta.

Apart from Mr Auta, another director of the agency, Peter Hena, is also alleged to be involved in the scandal.

Mr Hena, the Coordinating Director, Support Services Group of the FIRS, is currently out of Nigeria and will be arrested as soon as he returns to the country, EFCC sources told this newspaper.

A top official of the FIRS, however, said Mr Hena is on official medical leave outside the country and did not flee.

shocked So where has the Buhari gover taken our total( domestic & foreign) debts to & what have they been used for? Their own lies being busted left, right and centre.Lies have a beginning and also has an end.
Using the Naira value when the debt is incurred in dollars is misleading. This considering there was a deliberate need to devalue the currency post-2015.

I lived in UK for a good 4 years. I can't remember seeing power cables anywhere except the expressroad.
All their cables are buried under ground. In fact, Government built their houses, supplied the lines to the houses and supplied everyone with prepaid meter. Your own is to pay rent/mortgage and buy credit for your meter.
In my 4 years their "NEPA" took light only 2ce for a total of 5mins.

In Nigeria here, all this wires dangling up and down is an issue. Welders and other Electricians will just be tapping the light and blow out transformer. You will be there in the house with your prepaid meter and there's no light getting to you.
That's UK.

There are power lines hanging from poles in parts of USA, Ghana and Greece. All countries enjoying 24 hour electricity.

Our problem is us.

possible but very very very very very very rare!!!

Every car gets registered with their MOT before u can drive!, if a car is stolen it can't get registered, and if it isn't registered it can't be driven... unless you wanna re register the car, but that as well isn't easy.
More so every car is insured.

It will be easy to get the car back.

Radio Biafra has helped your relationship with others.

Continue with your hate.

Innosons for instance has never had as much patronage from the federal government as he has today despite the fact that all he does is change logos on a China-made automobile.

In any case, you deserve what you get.

You lot have rendered support for hate by you wholehearted support for Nnamdi Kanu and his hate-filled propaganda.
