He cannot.

It is even his own people that would descend on him.

They still hold him responsible for Atiku/Peter Obi's loss.

Logical thinking without any reference to spirituality and social consequence will still produce a society of amoral and sociopathic humans, the same way blindly following religion does

This is how atomic bombs and chemical weapons hold people ransom because they are thinking purely in terms of material progress instead of considering the humans that will be affected in the end

Religion and logic are not exclusive, they should balance and not cancel each other out to extremes
Humanity is not a spiritual or religious experience.

We all know what hurts and what soothes.

I'm not discarding spirituality but I choose to believe logic and humanity go hand in hand.

midnighter:
Religion/spirituality and logic are not mutually exclusive. Faith practised reasonably leads to progress

We practice it here in a backward manner and without any sincerity or clarity of purpose

There isnt any country that is not built on a philosophy of some kind; we are humans and spirituality helps us to understand ourselves

What we do in nigeria concerning religion is just the same as what we do in other areas like health, education, etc. Which is behave irrationally and in an indisciplined manner with no recourse to the original idea

Tell me, what is the essence of holding a vigil with music so loud that it disturbs all the surrounding wildlife and prevents people from sleeping? Whathuh

What is so wrong with us that we will have up to 3 days public holiday and lose millions of naira and an entire business week because somebody didnt look very well when sighting for the crescent moon? So we couldnt see the moon before huh

Our own spirituality is just an another avenue for ineptitude
That's where logical thinking finds its place.

Sad to say, but we are indeed illogical / unscientific people.

The reason for this is difficult to point but what saddens me is the resistance to science, to logic and to productivity.

The source of that soverign wealth fund is oil.

If oil becomes useless...they can only depend on that soverign wealth fund for a few years, and then what next?

Me, I prefer Qatar and Nigeria become industrial and scientific nations...not sell oil, and import stuff.
Their SWF is invested in Uber, Ebay, etc.

Being broke would take mismanagement and illogical reasoning of Nigerian proportions to take place.

Thank you, but the point I am trying to make is that Nigeria has to move on from just exporting raw materials to becoming an industrial nation.

If we did that, we would be as rich as China.

Unfortunately, APC and PDP are just there to share money. Not to change things. And sadly, many Nigerians think like that.
I totally understand you but it goes beyond government.

Government is a microcosm of the collective and they aren't aliens but full bred citizens.

Nigerians in general should adopt logic and probably drop religion and spirituality.

[s]Stop indulging yourself in crass scaremongery and hallucinations...

The Igbos having been participating in the electoral process since Nigeria emerged:casting votes for candidates from virtually all parts of the country.

If not for your terrible narrow-mindedness, you would have seen that Nigeria is beyond a slavish devotion to Buhari who has less than four years to exit the stage.

The Igbos should be lionized to repudiating Buhari and his brand of divisive politics.

Let history vindicate the just[/s]...

Qatar population : 2.4million people.
Qatar oil production: 1.6million barrels of crude oil per day

Nigeria population: 200million. people.
Nigeria oil production: 2.2million barrels of crude oil per day.

If you want Nigeria to look like Qatar, that means that you would have to deprive 195million Nigerians of their citizenship., and share the oil money among the 5million remaining.

Modified

The above point means in essence that Nigeria must become like China, Japan, Singapore, Germany, and stop arguing over who shares which money, religion, tribe, etc....to become even more prosperous than Qatar.

If you are reading this and thinking I am excusing past and present governments, sorry, you do not get the point.
If the average Nigerian had your aptitude Nigeria would have been better than Qatar.

Buhari's government is as useless as useless can be, I feel pained for these victims because i have had the opportunity to have a strayed calls from some Africans in similar circumstance, Nigeria does not care about her citizens, The other responsible countries around the world would have assigned a quick intervention But as usual, the Nepotistic Buhari can save an Hausa from Execution in Saudi Arabia but cares not about the southerner
Did you hear that TVC placed a call to the Embassy in Beirut and no reply came from the embassy Just the same way No responsible government in Nigeria or any responsible officer in any Government offices except you are bribing them
Even calling was not the responsibility of TVC but just imagine doing government job and being frustrated
The victims easily spent 500k for all their travel, Visa and all.

Wasn't that enough to invest in some form of business in Nigeria?

Should the women know how to sew, build shoes, make hair, make creams and lotions, undertake some lab tests, they wouldn't be exposing themselves to such ills.

Face it, the lack of patriotism is what tempts Nigerians into situations beyond their control.

Last last una go dey alright.
Politics › Re: NNPC Should Stop Oil Exploration In The North ASAP!! by Commentor: 12:05pm On Oct 19, 2019
nairalandankrah:
The federal government having done its bit these past 40 years, the government should leave the search for crude oil in the North to the private sector. And if they so wish, the northern states should continue to commit their own resources to realise their ambition of becoming oil producing states. The danger now is that good money that would have been invested in promoting the real economic potential of the North – agriculture, mining, manufacturing – is frittered away on a hopeless political venture.
oil has poisoned our politics, fuelled a civil war, generated insurgencies; distorted the economy and created a rentier state.
Buhari should end the wild goose chase. It is for all the wrong reasons. It is so puzzling why the President is so obsessed with oil discovery in the North at all costs. Nigeria’s development failure has made it a common illustration of the “resource curse” – Instead of wasting millions of dollars in the endless search for hydrocarbons in the North, the government will help the region better by creating a policy regime that is conducive to the accumulation of productive know-how or economic capabilities
It is not a wild goose chase.

Should commercial finds be made in the North it is for the best.
