You actually think a county cannot regulate the contents of a broadcast station, cable or otherwise?

Even YouTube can be regulated. DSTV or GoTV can be regulated.
Lol.. don't mind him. Ignorant folks don't know the power of Govt.
TV/MoviesRe: FG To Ban Foreign Cartoons On TV Channels, Replace With Nigerian Content by commoditiesnig(m): 3:01pm On Oct 14, 2024
Honestly this is a fantastic initiative.

Most of the cartoons on cable don tire me.. No lesson to learn.. Only PBS kids & JimJam are abit educative..others just rubbish!

Not long I took my son's IPad to a guy that transfers kids movies/cartoons & games. He suggested a Nigerian miniseries cartoon called "IWAJU". I told him I'm not interested in Naija cartoons, however a lady who also came with a Tab to 'buy' new cartoon for her kid told me my son will enjoy it as her child have seen it. I obliged!

My son really enjoyed "IWAJU".. very brilliant, educative, and informative!

I absolutely support local cartoon contents
PoliticsRe: Obi Idea Of Borrowing Money To Save Money Doesn't Solve Anything. by commoditiesnig(m): 9:08pm On Oct 13, 2024
richmond500:
Our currency is floating, with insecurities and investors trusts at stake. Borrowing money to defend a currency that is floating is not something anyone should do.
I'd rather he peg the currency back to USD. Not to borrow.
It only make sense to borrow and defend a currency when the currency has a chance of being stable, not the naira.

Skydivine:
A supreme court ruling made by only one man or woman that is appointed by the President is not reliable. It would always be tinted with bias opinions.
Nigeria should look into constitutional amendment to make the Apex more independent. The number of the court Judges should be increased and decisions ought to be made by majority votes
Just see how ignorant you are, just typing without facts.

Pls take time to get correct info about how the Supreme court works and stop embarrassing yourself!

Good decision mr Akpata

iLoveYouToo:
I feel for this guy. If PO had really thrown his weight behind him, maybe, just maybe 🤔
No 'maybe' anything. There was literally no way mr Akpata would've won.

Firstly, How can an Edo South (Bini) person want to take over same Edo South (Bini) outgoing gov. It couldn't have worked. (Wasn't it same scenario in general election, A northerner wanted to take over an outgoing Northerner).. So It was simply the turn of Edo Central, that's Esan to be gov.

Secondly, LP isn't very grounded in my state Edo. They don't have solid structures in all LGs to compete with both PDP and APC

It was indeed a futile effort from my Edo brother Akpata.

The silver bullet is the crude supply in naira to local refineries.

Fixed naira price of crude will stabilise the currency.

This should have been the case from the get go.

Once subsidy is removed, competition should be promoted. That's the only way to bring prices down.
Quite true. But the case then was there wasn't a functioning refinery when subsidy was removed.. Now Dangote has started delivery PMS this the best time.

Good initiative from govt.

@Op, the cost won't just go high anytime soon, cos of its availability and low/moderate demand. The best time is now

CNG is fully produced here. There is abundance of natural gas that is being wasted. No importation issues. No rate of dollar. LPG is imported that's why the price is going up.
