Congratulations to mamas that just dropped and those in the favour room presently.

Team February I greet una o, even if nobody asks after me I'm doing fine by now many of of us should have forgotten what morning sickness is but me still dey vomit o, just praying the thing free me jare.

We are 16weeks 2 days according to LMP but scan dates 17 plus, leading twin is xy while the other is xx.
God has been good so far and we are trusting him to take us to the very end.

To understand what happens during a wall squat, you should understand what a contraction does. Get a sachet of pure water (your full uterus) and put a hole in it. Water will come out. But if you press part of the bag, water will gush out faster. And that's what a contraction is: pressure on your uterus pushing the baby into the birth canal. It however is painful and human beings are designed to clench up in pain (hit any part of your body on something painful and you will recoil back). Which is not what you should be doing during contractions, you should be opening your cervix more.

And squats do that. But if you're pregnant, you're front-heavy. And since very few Nigerian women do Yoga, you most likely don't know how to balance well. So lean your back against a wall for support and squat. Do it a lot, especially during contractions, to open up that whole area more. It will ease the pain of contractions, infact staying still makes contractions feel more painful so be active. And breathe through your squats and contractions: breathe in going down when contraction is peaking, push the air towards your stomach (like you're trying to inflate a balloon) and breathe out through your mouth coming up from the squat, when the contraction (which acts like a wave) is reducing.

Whatever you do, don't sit or lie down unless they are checking you or you have to because they are monitoring fetal heart rate or something medical.

PS: do you know what a popsicle is? One typo of cheapo ice cream that is basically flavored water, Sugar and coloring on a stick, frozen. It's much nicer than plain ice during labour and the sugar will give you energy. Because you will get dehydrated and tired. So look for some and ask your Dr if you can lick during Iabour.

I have been a silent reader on this thread..I am 17 weeks and this is my first pregnancy. I am wondering if its normal to have itchy breast during pregnancy..sometimes the skin around my nipple really itch so bad..the annoying thing is when I am sleeping at night and the itching wakes me up..Pls is there any solution to this?

That's part of the package ma. I experienced it in all my 4 pregnancies. Just scratch gently. Other mama's will put mouth.

My princess arrived yesterday, at exactly 8:42pm weighing 3.5kg with a little tear. Mother and Baby doing great, father has been jumping and dancing since yesterday. Lol

I thank God for the grace and the privilege to be a mother.

I wish the remaining September mothers safe delivery of their Lo's. May God who did it for me do it for you all.

She kicks alot and it's intense too. I just feel that since the bump is small it means there's not enough space for her to move around and also I can literally see her when she streches

No cause for alarm then, girls are known to be super active ( I have 3 girls). Your baby is engaged that is the reason for the small belly. You will welcome your princess soon.

To me there is no cause for alarm. Do you still feel your baby kick? do you time her kick? You can see your doc to clear all doubts. It is well!

All these faith confessions shall surely come to pass. God is at work already.

I didn't even show till I was 7months and now it's reducing. Let me just believe so because when I sent a picture of my tummy to my cousin (Dr) he said my baby looks ready to come out.
