ATEAMS:even with pidgin English , you still Dey make grammatical mistake . Abeg speak your dialect. |
I would rather throw my money into the River Niger than spend it sponsoring a woman on such an adventure. It always ends in disappointment. I’m speaking from experience. Don’t tell me not all women are the same—I once believed that too, but things played out exactly as my friends predicted. In fact, even if God send (throw down for ) me an angel in the form of a woman, I still wouldn’t trust her. |

Alas, my friend, thy troubles do bring to mind the days of my own misfortunes. Verily, I was but a poor lad in the service of my uncle Reuben, who, in his old age, did serve as the keeper of time in a great school in the city of Lagos. His task was a simple one—to ring the great bell that summoned the students to rise at dawn and to retire at night. Yet age doth weary the body, and so did he entrust unto me the ringing of the morning bell, for he had taken upon himself the toil of a watchman in the neighborhood, seeking an extra coin to sustain his days. But, lo, my phone was as wretched as thine, if not worse. When I set the alarm for the fifth hour, it did betray me and sound not until the sixth. By the time I reached the bell stand, the sun had already claimed more of the morning than was permitted. Oft did my uncle stand before the great master of the school, bearing the wrath of his lateness. And so, on the fateful night ere it happened again, I resolved to outwit my treacherous device. If it must steal an hour, then would I set it for the fourth, that even in its mischief, I might yet be on time. Alas, fate mocked me, for it did leap not one hour, but three! And so did the bell ring not until the seventh hour. The students in their delight, rejoiced, for they had won two hours more of slumber. But my uncle? His wrath was terrible to behold. By the eighth hour, he was before the principal, and when he returned, his countenance was as that of an angry beast. He sought not to hear my plea, but with the swiftness of a soldier long past his prime, did he lay hands upon me, casting me to the ground. His boots, though worn, did find their mark upon my back and my head, and ere I could utter a word, he flung my bag at me and shut his door against me. With naught but shame and despair, I called upon my sister, who in her mercy sent me five thousand naira . With this did I board the night bus to Onitsha. Yet my coin was lacking, and so did I stand for twelve hours in that wretched carriage. And lo, the man beside me was crueller than my uncle! The moment sleep did steal upon me and I leaned against him, he struck me with such force upon my belly that I dared not slumber again till journey’s end. Thus was I returned to the trade I had once sworn never to touch again—the trade of scrap. Yet fortune doth not abandon the man who toils with steadfast heart. Take heart, my friend, for the gods do not forsake those who endure. In time, shall He who watches over thee lift thee from the burden of debt and make thee a lender. And the purse that is now as empty as the nest of a bird long gone shall one day be filled with gold. |

Samantha125:Within the pages of this book lies a hidden gem, A part I wonder if your eyes ever caught its glow. It calls to be uncovered, not alone, but with you. Shall we let this dialogue escape these borders, And find a haven where our thoughts can freely flow? Thoughts ?🙈 |

Sterling Bank deserve what ever they are getting . They harassed us over a loan my company didn’t take and turn my business upside down We took them to Onitsha court and they bribed their way out. Exactly what their manager said would happen We are taking the case to Awka even though I’m not expecting anything from Nigeria judiciary especially the one in Anambra state . The only thing you need in Nigeria is money . Justice is for sell here |

Look at how these northern governors are handling the issue of terrorism, going as far as categorizing them into ‘senior and junior bandits’ or ‘peaceful and non-peaceful terrorists.’ This approach should remain confined to the north. At least in other regions, the few kidnappings involve wealthy individuals who can afford the ransom. I strongly disapprove of this behavior. These Abokis and their leaders should just be given a separate country |
The Amounts these guys loot makes my heart skip . I am thinking that presidency is not even the issue with Nigeria |
