His tale doth intrigue me in its detail, for it speaketh of one who encountered the favor of fortune in the blackest of nights, yet allowed her to slip from his grasp as though she were but a fleeting shadow. It bringeth to mind mine own tale of Abuchi, the man who promised to marry my sister. To me, it seemed as though the goddess of good fortune had smiled upon me and laid her gentle blessings at my feet. Yet, I knew not that this potential gifts were but fleeting, like a morning mist that vanisheth before the rising sun. I had not known Abuchi dwelt within our neighborhood until fate revealed him. It began one evening as I saw him speak with my sister, their conversation flowing freely under the cover of night, for my father was away on duty. As their discourse unfolded, Abuchi beckoned me to his side and pressed into my palm two notes of five hundred naira each. Without words, I understood it to be a bribe, a token to silence my tongue. Before he departed, he called me aside and spoke thus: “Thy sister hath told me of thy lack of work. Fear not, for I shall bestow upon thee the sum of one million naira to establish thyself.” That night was the gladdest of my life. The promise of wealth danced before my eyes, and I dreamt of a future filled with prosperity. At dawn, I took my humble savings of thirty-five thousand naira to the market, for what use was a savings chest when untold riches awaited me? I purchased two pairs of fine jeans, a shirt, and a pair of sandals fit for a prince. As I returned home, I walked with the gait of one who carried the favor of kings. Along the way, beggars lined my path, their hands outstretched in supplication. Out of my newfound confidence, I cast my remaining cash into their baskets, for was I not soon to be a man of wealth? When I saw my friend Musa, to whom I owed three hundred and fifty naira for a bag of water purchased a week prior, I gave him five hundred naira and bade him keep the change. His grateful smile was a welcome sight. With but one thousand naira remaining for my journey, I set forth to meet Abuchi, the man who had promised to set me on the path to prosperity. Yet, as I entered my home, I found my sister weeping bitterly. At first, I thought she had lost her phone, as was her habit, but upon inquiry, her words struck me like the blow of a hammer. “Abuchi hath been arrested,” she cried, “for his part in an armed robbery.” In that moment, the riches I had dreamt of crumbled into dust. My savings were gone, the promise of one million naira naught but an empty illusion. It pained me deeply, yet such is life. We stumble, we fall, but we must rise and carry on, for fortune is fickle and not always kind. |

Ladies often are guilty of this too Permit me, my friends, to recount a tale of folly and desire—a tale not unlike those told in the marketplaces of Onitsha main market , rich with lessons for the wise who would heed them. Two days after my wife departed for Kaduna to pursue her ICAN studies, there came a visitor to my home—Nkechi, a woman whose intent was not merely to plunder but also to sow discord and ruin. Her arrival was veiled in mischief, her motives wrapped in promises and the allure of her charms. Our accord had been set: a sum of thirty-five thousand naira and a foolish promise to replace my wife with her in the coming year. But Nkechi, in her ambition, sought to hasten the fulfillment of her desires. Now, let it be known, she was not fairer than my wife, yet there was a power in her form that could enslave the eyes of the unguarded. Her bosom was as mighty as the great reservoirs of Babylon, firm and unyielding, standing as though defying the pull of the earth itself. It was not merely her beauty but the enchantment of burying one’s face in her embrace and the indulgence of her affection that led me astray. That night, I fancied myself a king, foolishly intoxicated by fleeting pleasures. Our plan was simple: she would depart the night before my wife’s return. Yet, as men are oft tempted by their baser instincts, I yearned for one more night of indulgence. In my folly, I increased her reward to fifty thousand naira —a testament to the power her charms held over me. But as all secrets hidden in shadows are eventually revealed by the light, so too did my misdeed come to light. No sooner had she departed than my wife returned. Her first concern was for her treasured wig, valued at six hundred and fifty thousand naira . Before I could feign ignorance or swear by the gods of our fathers, there emerged from beneath our bed an unholy witness—a strange garment that spoke of another’s presence, a lady’s pant By the dawn of the next day, my mother and elder sister were seated in my home, their expressions stern and their tongues laden with admonishment. The matter did not end in divorce, yet it was the day I swore an oath in my heart: no longer would the lure of abundant bosoms guide my steps astray. For fleeting pleasures are but traps for the unwary, and the cost of folly is always greater than its reward.” |

That’s a common trait I’ve noticed among many Akwa Ibom girls, including the one I’m currently dating. They tend to act purely on impulse, without much consideration for the consequences. If she feels like getting up at midnight and walking away, she’ll do it without hesitation. If she feels like causing a scene in public, she’ll go through with it. They don’t usually pause to think things through from different perspectives. That said, they still make great companions. |
Now I can see why she dumped him . She made a right choice |
Will they be deported afterwards?? |
I know her; her name is Anita. Please retrieve my wristwatch before you proceed with jailing her. I met her in Sabon Gari, Kano. We agreed on ₦25k for the night, but she ended up sleeping all through after downing three bottles of Orijin Bitters. When she finally woke up, we counted the unused condoms, and I realized I had only used one out of the four rounds we agreed on. I wasn’t planning to pay her at all since I believed the three bottles of Orijin and the barbecue I bought were compensation enough for the single round she delivered. However, out of my generosity, I gave her ₦7k. She got furious, grabbed one of the Orijin bottles, and I almost confronted her. But then I remembered my wife’s constant curses , that side chicks would end my life , So, I backed down and paid her in full. She insulted me, called me a “yeye man,” and took off. Ten minutes later, I discovered my wristwatch had gone with her. Please, get my wristwatch back! It’s a gift from my wife’s friend |
RichIgboBoy:Werey go put am on sell for 6m |
RUDEBOYY:where In Onitsha are you in ? |
RichIgboBoy:for how much did you sell it ? |
What’s wrong with these dealers? Why can’t they be upfront with the owners and tell them that the car they’re trying to sell is scrap? Why is it so hard for them to be honest with the owners ? I don’t mind buying a car with a bad engine, but the problem arises when it’s sold at the price of one with a sound engine. I remember when I wanted to sell my van. The first buyer who came, I told him to look for another van. The second buyer mentioned he had borrowed money and needed a van for hauling, but I still advised him to find a different one. Eventually, I sold it to someone who only needed it for body parts, and we’re still friends to this day. |
MichaelSokoto:Anyone can tag any price on his vehicle . It’s left for the buyer to decide who he gives his money One said I should buy an abused 05 Corolla for 6m . I told him that I would come for inspection before Road safety enter road the next day . Werey wait tire |
Go with someone and pay him nothing less than 50k . Don’t trust anyone in the market . Speaking out of experience |
An anti-people government constantly chasing meaningless titles. I spent two nights in Kano, and it felt like everyone there was begging—the hotel staff and the people on the streets. Children are out of school, and the government seems completely indifferent. These kids are like ticking time bombs. Honestly, someone should just divide this country already. |
