Can anyone recommend a good and reliable Engineer I can use to service the car ?
I read here that one doesn’t have to use any type of oil for the MB, so I saw the recommended oil is the MB 229.51 or MB 229.52 oils.
But the mechanic is telling me I can use Star oil bla bla.
I asked the previous owner the type of oil he used on it but he said he hasn’t change the oil since it entered (I don’t know if this is false).

I don't believe the term service AF in your situation means service Automatic Transmission

A means something, B means another thing, same for C all the way to the F you see there on the dash. I believe you should download the manual for your vehicle and see exactly what the AF actually stands for or better still post on the Mercedes Benz thread we have here for answers.

Please don't touch your transmission or change it's fluid until you've done so to avert trouble

Forget about any electrian or wiring work or such for now and immediately purchase and fix ONLY a working thermostat in your engine

Go to any market or store where tokumbo engines for your vehicle are sold and tell the dealer to remove and sell just the thermostat for you from one of his engines for sale. He will do it gladly for a small fee. Take it to your mechanic and FORCE him to fix it in your engine and return back to me after 24hrs to give thanksgiving

From Egbeda to VI, Monday to Friday (Movement is between 5.30am and 4pm), I buy around 60k + fuel every week for my 2007 Honda Accord 4 plugs (with 4 passengers on both trips and without AC)

This morning just before leaving the house, I reset the TRIP A and TRIB B on the odometer to zero and also the Trip computer in the cars Navigation screen to zero. When I got to VI, the Odometer is showing 24.7 but the Trip computer is showing 40.4km.....why is there disparity in the trip calculator?

Also, is the car consuming fuel?

The in car nav system is in KM while your trip meter is in MPH. to convert MPH to KM just multiply it by 1.6

your avg fuel consumption the 12.1L/100km is though a bit high for your vehicle but due to age, type of pms we have in naija and road conditions, it is manageable.

That's just 3mpg shy of it's factory default. It's truly normal for the age of the engine

He said his own RPM's dropped to around 500, does your own idle RPM sit below 600rpm right now with your replaced engine mounts?

If you're running on such low rpms it's not ideal for the engine but I seriously doubt you would be having a happy drive with anything below 700 as your idle rpms
